  1. Maybe, but I think it's more likely bad design rather than intentionally annoying. Staunton. He's got a mess of a build with several junk feats and a curious attribute allocation. At best you can go down the Vital Strike chain and hope he doesn't get focused on. Of course Staunton is an outlier and most companions seem to be built well enough, assuming WotR was designed to be played straight. Unfortunately Owlcat designed WotR assuming both a high level of system mastery and a tendency to exploit the system whenever possible. The problem isn't that Sosiel went for Medium Armor Focus instead of a Monk unarmored barb dip or that Seelah foolishly picked Shield Focus over planning on a Paladin/Scaled Fist/Oracle/Court Poet/Dragon Disciple build, it's that the rampant bloat in WotR puts such a high premium on ramping your AB/AC/Saves to comically high levels that the flavorful options companions have taken or an inexperienced player would take just don't cut it for some of the difficulty spikes you'd be likely to hit on Normal. At the end of the day the problem is bad design, which Owlcat doubled down on instead of trying to address. You can blatantly cheat by boosting your stats up to hit 40 in all attributes and you'll still fall short of some random enemies that pop up. PnP Cthulhu would probably not make it past Act 4.
  2. The problem is that vaccination isn't even half the battle. We've had hospitals getting packed past capacity for a while now and that is overwhelming the medical system. The rona still spreads among the vaccinated and while right now it is substantially milder with the vax (thank god), a new variant could come along and **** that all up. We are nowhere near out of the woods yet and the government response has been either to not do nearly enough or actively make things worse. After 868874 dead bodies have piled up over the last two years I fear we're going to cross 1 million before April and that may not even be the halfway point. But my point was less of how bad the rona is and more how bad US healthcare is with being prohibitively expensive and all that. It's great I can get vaccinated for free but if I get sick with something else I am ****ed. My insurance does **** all and going outside of insurance for health care would financially ruin me.
  3. I assume so, unless he was mortally offended at Gfted1's desire to like posts more than once. Regardless, it absolutely encapsulates what Raithe's image is poking at, that invoking failings of socialist countries in response to criticism of failings capitalist countries isn't very effective. Like just the healthcare system in the US was absolutely insane before the rona had all but broken it, and if the US would break down if it tried to do UHC (like many other countries do successfully without going full Stalin and gulaging 948473948363838366484747484 people) then that's a damning indictment of the US more than it is of UHC. Let's not even dive down into the cluster**** that is real wages/purchasing power or housing costs because that is very depressing.
  4. Finished my first playthrough as Azata. All in all it's a major improvement over Kingmaker despite some performance issues and some unpleasant design choices. I will take a break from this and wait for the DLC to drop and mods to expand.
  5. Socialism is when the government does stuff I don't like and as soon as it does everyone will starve to death.
  6. Yeah, it's a show that for whatever reason I couldn't watch too much at once and had a hard time watching two-parters. It's very good. It's really good. So far everything I've watched from the director has been great. Even Carole & Tuesday.
  7. If we're thinking of the same mod, the author said he was going to try to do all the puzzles. But all things considered, the central puzzle is one of the least time consuming. Based on Kingmaker, I think Owlcat just likes puzzles. Enigma tops House at the Edge of Time for frustration, but at least it's optional. I did too, it's still very long and annoying. Factoring in performance drops, it took me over 3 hours to clear Enigma.
  8. Nenio's quest is perhaps the worst experience I've had in a videogame. God damn, I will cheat from now on instead of dealing with those damn puzzles.
  9. The End of Samurai Champloo The gang separates. Fuu takes a walk, Jin duels a master swordsman, and Mugen goes toe to toe with a gang led by DIO. A great ending to a great show.
  10. On one hand huh, who knew they named the same phenomenon something different because of gender. On the other hand, I'm not going to stop calling it Oedipus.

  12. I remember seeing it before you posted it. Maybe it's lack of sleep. Or more likely, Amentep is gaslighting you for not watching Space Cobra.
  13. I could, but at this point Seelah and her Horse have come online.
  14. You need to discover a location in Act 3 to be able to do the quest. If you don't, the location you need to get to doesn't show up despite the entry in your journal. There seems to be a quest associated with the Act 3 location in question, but I didn't get it even though I did the standard RPG talk to everyone routine. Maybe because I went Azata and Anyways I just did the Azata Act 5 quest and kicked the bad guy off my lawn.
  15. Thanks, hopefully next year I don't hit 110. Does Bill Gates own your soul yet? He will.
