Stats and leveling aren't needed for a good crpg. The KOTOR games have such terrible combat that the thought of replaying them is cringe-inducing. Low-level gameplay is boring as hell. Balance should come before ego stroking magiphiles.

They don't work if the sanctioned state has signifigant avenues of revenue that the sanctions do not affect. The US would not be affected by EU sanctions because they have many other avenues of export and import.

So if a Ukraine President wants to avoid trial he can flee the country and still be considered a legitamte head of state?

Sanctions only work if the sanctioned state is impacted heavily enough(not able to export products to a degree that effects employent and profits) which can only be accomplished with smaller states. To the US or China EU sanctions are in the magnitude of an ant bite.

Is there any overlap between these groups? For example, would Longsword be for both Knight and Soldier? Is Weapon Specialization closer to the BG implementation or 3.Xe/PF? If the later, is an analogue of Weapon Focus universally available? From what information I can gather, the PoE Paladin is a warrior with several abilities that boost the defenses and general prowess of the party and has a few smite-ish abilities, similar to the 3.Xe/PF Paladin. Is this accurate?

On Spring Break. Consumed a large amount of alcohol, and may drive up to Austin for SXSW.

Reading this thread makes me oddly hungry. Will be interesting to see how the expected sanctions affect Russia's economy.

Finally got around to finishing Dragonfall. Like I posted before, it is heads above the original in pretty much every area. These are the only negatives I can think of. 1. Control of Crew's stats and equipment. I wish I had been able to give Eiger some better weapons and have Blitz focus a little more on Decking and Rigging or Glory pay a bit more attention to combat skills. I was generally ok with Dietreich's(I'm positive I spelled that wrong, apologies) spell selection. 2. Dragonfall seems to lag a bit for me. I don't know exactly what it is(my rig plays more demanding games smoother) but it did get a little annoying. Not really game breaking though. Overall, I enjoyed it, but I wish I wouldn't have gone Adept as splitting Karma between Combat skills and Chi resulted in a weaker character than a Street Samurai or Mage.

Do something about golden codpieces and boobplate.

In your opinion, what is the coolest class in Pillars or Eternity? How many people do you have to fend off in order to get to the coffee maker in the morning? How does the Paladin's smite-ish ability "Flames of Devotion" work?
