  1. Ydwin should have been in the first game. While the fact I don't really like the GM is one factor, the lack of an animancer companion where animancy is a major issue to the setting and plot was a misstep, instead we get our views on animancy from the asylum, the Dozens, two companions opposed (Aloth and Durance), and two that weakly support it (Kana and Pallengia). Didn't have to be a pale elf goth girl, but some sort of animancer companion would have been great to be another detailed perspectove on animancy.
  2. PoE monks are really good, Fighter is the only class with better Accuracy/Deflection and Monks make up for that with a superior passive. Not to mention the monk gets a summon, +25% speed boost, ranged attacks, and a cool bag of other stuff that makes Fighters look like chumps and Rogues look like dead weight. Complaining that they don't fit your idea of a Shaolin monk is just a rehash of Chanters not being like D&D bards or Wizards being able to lift to increase magic damage.
  3. What the poster above said and there's an option with Aloth if you've made him side with the Leadenn Key.
  4. Whoot?! How did I missed that? They put it in high reward but never talked about it at Q&A/updates? It's the season pass for dlc. I reckon we'll see something like WM and perhaps other things as well. Xoti > Ydwin anyways.
  5. I think Aloth has to be a wizard, Pallegina has to be a Paladin, and Kana's sister has to be a Ranger. The other ones have one of two starting classes and after level 1 you can pick any class you like. So Aloth can be a Wizard1/Barbarian 19 of you want.
  6. Even if they are dead, some yet unknown spells could be hidden somewhere in the world, right? Perhaps At any rate I really want to fight the other archmages, preferably all at once.

  8. Kind of, but not really. I think Ciphers requiring a target to manipulate and feed off of to fuel their abilities is quite different from any D&D psychic class from what I remember of them. There's obviously soulknife and psion elements to them, but it seems different enough to be it's own thing. But they really do need to do more to explain what a watcher is, all I got from it is you could see your past lives and read others' souls, which is close enough to what Ciphers did for confusion.
  9. I wonder, with a certain couple of archmages possibly dead, will we see no more spells from those two? And if we can meet more archmages, I want to fight Citzal as a muscle wizard.
  10. Xoti looks like she doesn't give a ****. Confirmed slot in my party.
  11. I'm gonna rotate, but as I'm planning on a Rogue/Cipher or Rogue/Wizard probably not any with either of those classes except Aloth as a CC machine. Oh and unless she's a full companion never Ydwin.
  12. They should move away from attribute checks and more towards skill and class/ability checks.
  13. It will. I wasn't around then, but if you look at BG to BG2, BG2 takes a lot from the TotSC expansion. Durlags Tower in particular with most BG2 dungeons being larger and having more levels than BG counterparts. What I would wager will not show up from WM are the mini-class talents like baby sneak attack because we're getting real multiclassing. And maybe soulbound items will be more general to avoid conflicting abilities.
  14. Because they're fun and able to play on your own.
  15. Time is a flat circle, we've always been in the Deadfire. There is hidden save called gamecomplete. You can find it in saves folder. Well I feel stupid. How do you tell the difference between them if you have the same character name though? I'm currently doing a Triple Crown and gonna use that as my main import, but I recently beat it with with a character of the same name as my TC game.
  16. How do we transfer from PoE to PoE2? For me at least the game saves right after the final fight but before a huge decision that would seemingly shape much of Deadfire. Time is a flat circle, we've always been in the Deadfire.
