  1. Man, the polar bears in the bottom picture look amazing. From the posted pics I would definitely support him joining the Obsidan team again.
  2. Very cool and nice find. I can't wait to go home and try importing them in BG to see how they look.
  3. I don't mind the solo play option/challenge but I always hated the feeling that I'm being penalized by having a full party because XP is split across the board. If you chose a fighter in Baldurs Gate and you had a full party it is going to take a LONG time before you level. You will easily be half way through Chapter 2...
  4. I'd love to see unique monsters in the game but I think it is more important to have monsters with character. I'd be willing to bet most people that are opposed to having goblins or a typical D & D monster in game is because of the 'been there done that' feeling that they get when fighting those monsters. If goblins make it in the game, then give them something that they are fighting for. Let goblins have different ways of attacking besides the typical swarm attack. A goblin with an idea is always a bad idea, for everyone.
  5. I am playing another run through Baldurs Gate(1). I find it refreshing to have to read through and figure out quests on my own instead of being lead to the quest by some sort of tracking system. Anyways, I was thinking it would be a neat idea if Obsidian considered a scribing skill. A higher scribing skill will give a bit more detail in the journal about the quest. Thoughts? It could be a fun little non-combat skill.
  6. I like the D & D version of Druids. I wouldn't label them as hippies or against civilization. I think Druids are more along the lines of extreme activists, like peta(times ten), but would rather kill you if you stepped in their sacred pond. They can be very difficult to work with if your character is lawful.
  7. I probably won't use the Adventures Hall thefirst time around unless the companions that I pick up aren't providing enough synergy.
  8. Sorry but that's not a badge. That's a vanity plate. As for the game, i'm beginning to think Chris, Tim and the rest have already skipped town with the Kickstarter money and are sitting on a beach in Mexico or somewhere with those drinks with the little hats. and they probably wearing our badges too!
  9. Yes Merin, I was thinking along those lines.
  10. I'm going to assume Obsidian is putting some money into the pot as well. I'm sure it wouldn't add up to 20 million though. The kickstarter was originally asking for 1.1 million so that's why I think we funded a lot of the content but not all of the game design costs.
  11. Attacking the same target isn't "working together" in my book.
  12. Have the devs mentioned anything about party members working together for additional benefits? For example, two wizards both concentrate and cast Fireball which produces a larger fireball. Perhaps a ranger could light his arrows on fire by shooting through a wall of fire that was cast by a wizard in your party. Similar to class combos on in Guild Wars 2. I think it would add a fun element to the game where you get the feeling the party is working together rather than all doing their own thing.
  13. It was done in Witcher 2 tastefully imo. Certain options of the conversation were timed sometimes. Typically it was a response that was meant to interrupt or to say something witty to the speaker. If PE can do it tastefully I wouldn't mind. I wouldn't mind if they didn't include it either.
  14. I always thought resting in BG was tough. I'd always get waylaid or woken up by a swarm of bandits or undead. Some areas didn't allow you to rest. Neverwinter seemed a little bit more accurate to your description of the resting system. I didn't like neverwinters system that well.
  15. haha I'm sure you had to have been thrilled to see your party breakup when your deep into a dungeon. After the original shock it makes for a good story. I'm all for companions having their own personalities/values and sticking to them.
  16. Awesome thread. I am enjoying all of the suggestions. I always love game music but never followed the actual artist so its a great surprise to see how many other games they have done.
  17. Eight is pretty tight if the companions bicker and quit your party like in Baldurs Gate. I'll more than likely make the majority of my party members but there will also be room in my party for a space hamster and minsc.
  18. I think a wiki of what was fact according to the devs would have been nice. Information/updates seemed to be all over the place and if it wasn't on kickstarter I was typically out of the loop. Overall all though they released an update everyday and it was by far the best kickstarter I've been part of.
  19. I agree. Well said.
  20. An ending like Witcher 2 would be perfect. I love hashing things out and having things come together before the final fight. As apposed to running up the the end boss like he's king koopah and getting a few details on how the story unfolded.
  21. absolutely amazing. when they first released the update I didn't think we had a shot. the ks generated about a million in a day?
  22. I don't think this would ever fly. Designers are like artist in the digital world. Most artist would never release a half painted painting or something they scrapped because it didn't feel right to them.
  23. I am totally against advertising. Yet I wouldn't mind seeing a kerfuffles monster in game. I'd consider kerfuffles a joke way back when the game was in a kickstarter called project enternity. Along the lines of an Easter Egg.
