  1. Someone has been playing too much 40K.
  2. I just had to replace my motherboard. As I am in changing situation regarding work, I am not going to get a good PC for a while, so in a way all these games (and the performance discussion) is probably something I'll be experiencing when it has become abandonware...
  3. If you really want to sell me on wabbajack, you know what you have to do. Upload a soundfile of explaining it's merits to the tune of ABBA's Waterloo.
  4. The Skyrim Alternate Start - Live Another Life mod ( @BruceVC do you use it?) is nice because it adds a rumour about Helgen into the list of rumours you hear from innkeepers. So when you get to Helgen, you arrive just after the dragon attack and see it flying away. You can find the two faction npcs dying in the cave and have enough time to heal one with a potion (if you want). That way you again are the person who informs the jarl of what happened and can trigger the main quest if you want. And the starts really are simple (unless you play something hooked into this mod from another mod like Death Alternative - Captured) so wouldn't really be all that hard for the devs to do. It actually could be less work than the one start they have.
  5. I am bored, so I tried out different Alternate Start mods for Skyrim. They make the game so much better by cutting out that long intro. Mind, after a moment you are back in the game, so it gets boring again. But with the game's level scaling it can be interesting to see different regions as starting locations. One character's story started when they put on a ring and suddenly woke up from a haze and realized they were a necromancer's thrall - you start in a small cave, with a necromancer doing stuff over their alchemy station. You are wearing a ring of nullification that raises your magic resistance. Suddenly the first big town I went to was Riften, not Whiterun. Another character started in the underground Falmer city as a slave. Once the overseer relaxed, I could simply make a run for it. (apparently the mod is made as a death alternative, so you are high level and lead a slave revolt, but who has the patience to level up).
  6. It was just pointed out to me that the beginning of the new Year already spells: Wednesday Thursday Friday So not getting my hopes up
  7. Reminds me of: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4GC_Q2YKNR0
  8. Why would you get banned here for typing Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious? I mean, that is a word noone in your country cares about, no?
  9. It's mostly a good game if you are into Darkest Dungeon clones.
  10. I got close to the end of Vambrace and reached a point where I was just tired and couldn't be arsed to play on.
  11. Underspace: cat billboards in space
  12. I was going to spend christmas day painting. A friend asked yesterday what I was going to do, so I said I'd be painting. Another friend heard that and said she doesn't think I should spend Christmas alone. So now I'll be having family&friends lunch tomorrow. Other than that I really should be painting.
  13. Aaaah, So THAT is why they labeled this a minefield.
  14. I have picked up my Underspace play through once more. I had been put off by a certain storm event that kept triggering, which I couldn't survive, but now things are better. Pushed through the first part of the story and am now level 19 just before the warning that if I continue the story... You know, the usual "get your affairs in order before you do". Mind, level in this game is determined by how much cash you have made, since that reflects how good your equipment potentially is. Speaking of, I now upgraded to a tier 2 light fighter. The mobility is nice, but I need to check the energy output on a medium fighter. My current guns drain my energy meaning I dodge waiting to recharge. Also, I am not that great a shot, so my previous low energy loadout meant I could just keep my finger on the trigger and hope something hit. Going to sit back and do some exploring and storm chasing. Maybe check for some fancy equipment. See if I can rank up in some stormchaser chapters. I also need to see if I can buy some favour with the criminal factions, as I suspect my relationship with the union military may worsen in the course of the main story.
  15. Which does make sense. If people who can play it for "free" as part of a subscription can't be bothered to download it, that is bad. So it can be a good indicator of failure. And they should have statistics of new subs who then proceed to download and play this.
  16. Didn't I warn you? Sorry. Watched three episodes last year.
  17. It is like the time people kept talking about printers casting spells and getting house points and waving around wands.
  18. Patch notes: "12 new Force swords were added to the game" I think they meant to type: 12 Force swords were added to the game. If I remember correctly, you could find a grand total of 1 Force sword from loot
  19. The sad part about the toilet tutorial is that it is before they teach you to use consumables in your inventory and you don't actually need to go. So right away they have you go to the sink and wash your hands, then grab a towel, use it in the inventory, then remove it from the inventory to place it back on the rack.
  20. This is your bathroom. Here you can clean and relieve yourself. Let's use the toilet. Move two tiles to the highlighted tile, then click End Turn. Well done! You have reached the toilet! You will notice, the toilet is closed! Oh no! Do not fear, we can open it. To open the toilet, left click the Interact button in your hotbar, then select the toilet. Alternatively you can right click on the toilet and select interact from the radial menu. Let's open the toilet now. The toilet is open, well done!
  21. If Gorth moves to Athens, I'll have to scout for places for lunch.
