  1. I am reading up on how to make scale mail. I should be able to adapt that to make clothes out of wooden forks.
  2. Same logic as with the bikini really. It isn't the scrap of metal that improves the armour, but the negative space left behind by the absence of more metal. The attacks hit the negative space where the armour would have been but isn't and thus hit nothing.
  3. If I pay all my income tax at once, I get a 185€ discount. 1 donut costs 1€. If we assume I eat 5 donuts a year, if I pay all my income tax at once, basically the state pays my donuts until I'm 82 years old. Obviously I paid my taxes today. Bring on the donuts.
  4. Sorry for your loss KP. For what it's worth, you know we are here for you to talk about stupid things that don't really matter, like the ratio of skin left uncovered to the protection offered by chainmail bikini, if you need a distraction.
  5. Finished Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Purgatory It has a "Bash the Fash" achievement, so it gets a 100% rating from me just for being openly and unapologetic antifa. Which works well for the Werewolf setting, as that has always in a way been the left-leaning part of the World Of Darkness with its theme of eco terrorism and thus anti corporate greed. As a sequel, it loosely ties into the story from Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Heart Of The Forest. The main character and some npcs from that game appear in this as well, and part of the game takes place in the same forest. You do not need to have played the previous game though, as this is an independent story from that. The story features two divergent branches as your character chooses what matter to investigate. I have only played one branch, but I expect both do lead to the same finale. What sets this WOD visual novel apart from Coteries/Shadows of New York - its otherwise closest kin - is that, while you play a set person, you choose your skills, tribe, and auspice (class). These don't affect the story in a major way, but allow for an s experience slightly more tailored to the player's preference.
  6. There is a drastic decrease in my conformity throughout chapter 1 of Purgatory
  7. I don't want to set the world on fire I just want to let you know Fallout London is on GOG change musical era and genre Mamma mia, mamma mia Mamma mia, download this on GOG for free, for free, for freeeeee
  8. I played Jack Move. It is a cute little cyberpunk pixel art indy rpg. It is very short, probably under 8 hours. At the same time, I found the combat to be overstaying its welcome. I uninstalled during the final boss fight. It is too tedious and boring for me. I know I could beat it if I invested the time, but there is nothing rewarding about slowly nibbling at the silly health of the boss, defend before the big attack, heal, repeat. I can watch the ending on YouTube.
  9. Ooooh, a Dragon Age II remake!
  10. Hmm FM could be the name for a cool series of Radio Host Simulators. Don't listen to the Deb of Night, be the Deb of Night. Create playlists to attract certain audiences and establish yourself in the city's subcultures. Try to appeal to the masses and mainstream success. Wrangle callers live on air. Play for the sleepless, play for the morning crowd. And uncover a dark conspiracy in your city. Or don't and just settle for cash and local fame.
  11. I think people want to pretend the criticism is one based on merit. And there are people who honestly do see it that way. At the same time, I see a lot of people who shout about DEI not having an issue with nepotism or other problematic hiring practices.
  12. Well, the antivaxxer YouTube channel YouTube keeps suggesting I watch, has a video explaining the Secret Service failed to protect Trump because they were DEI hires. So why should Steam forums be any better.
  13. I need to finish Mars War Logs so I can play Technomancer.
  14. Shadowrun Returns was a disaster of mismanaged funds and lack of experience in basically every area other than the setting. It was a fun little Shadowrun game though and the story was good. It would have been better as an old school novel. In print. On paper. Dragonfall was the good game they had promised in the Returns Kickstarter. I wouldn't mind a AAA open world Shadowrun... Just directly the director's cut and three years of post release bug fixing that make that kind of game playable.
  15. Even samer here. Dragonfall left me with eagerness to move on to Hong Kong. Hong Kong made that eagerness fizzle.
  16. On Instagram I started counting how many "sponsored" posts show up for every post of a person I follow. It is about 12 - 1.
  17. So to recap the Gamepass discussion: PC gamers get paid $11.99 a month, an increase of $2, to play Bethesda games unmodded? At the same time console gamers get paid $14.99 or $19.99 if they play the games unmodded at launch?
  18. Finished Necromunda: Hired Gun. The game is a fun fast paced shooter I guess (it isn't my genre, so I do not know what the criteria are). They put in a lot of effort to craft the maps. The voice acting exists. I found some npcs to not talk loud enough. The story also exists. I am not sure it should. It requires the audience to care about a very specific Necromunda character and to have read the novels and comics. Even then, it still is pointless.
  19. I gave up on Troubleshooter two missions before the end of the second DLC. The difficulty in later content just ramped up too much, requiring delving into mechanics a lot more to counter all the defenses of various enemies with very specific builds. It just is too much hassle and the story has dragged on longer than necessary anyway.
  20. Quiz: Can you guess who finds things to do other than the work they are supposed to do? (Answer at the end of post) The thing I like best about Necromunda: Hired Gun, other than that AA charm that AAA for all their production value so often fail to have, is a tiny detail: When sentries first spot you, in many games they will go through variations of "Who's there?" "I think I heard something..." "Is somebody there?" "What are you doing here?" "You are not supposed to be here!" "Intruder!" In Necromunda: Hired Gun it is "He's here!" or "She's here!" Showing that they know who you are and know that you were the imminent threat to them. It is a tiny line, but it does more to tie my character into the mission fighting generic mooks than most games with fancy writers. Quiz Answer: melkathi
  21. *grumble* If I were a dev, I'd make cooperative achievements that the community unlocks together...
  22. Necromunda: Hired Gun has an achievement to kill 100 enemies while wallrunning. I don't think I have killed any enemies while wallrunning at all...
  23. Watched that Shogun season 1. Found it rather meh because they couldn't get me to care even remotely about any of the male characters, most of all the protagonist.
