So we fall into a discussion between per encounter and per rest abilities again -
Have the Battle axe's bleeding cut modal on, cannot turn it off because it stucks in certain point of cooldown. Edit: this happens when your modal is in cooldown and combat start, in this case, they stuck in cooldown forever until u reload the game.

Yeah just keep disengage until you are bloodied, then activate the Powder Burns so you can get +100% weapon crit damage. Or just idle there until u r bloodied... Backstab + On the edge, + 250% damage bonus... But with Empower I think Bleak walker/Assasin can still oneshot the titan?

Try FoD + Streetfighter + dual blunderbuss, still oneshot him with that combo.

So for example if you have Deep Wounds and you did 100 damage to target in 1st strike, your enemy get a 20% wounding DoT which is 20 raw damage. Now you did another strike to the target and did 10 damage, congratulations, your first DoT is overwrite by the 2nd one, and now enemy only get 2 raw damage DoT. Bug or feature?

3 guiles. And Rogue are globally extremely poor balanced about guile cost. 3 guiles for withering strike (lol) atm Mule kick is a reference of the cost for 2 guiles. +25 % damage + 10 accuracy + Disoriented 8s + interruption for 1,5s. Flame of devotion a reference of the cost for 1 guile. +30 % damage +20 accuracy. Whithering strike ? Same than mule kick with a less good effect and for 3 guiles. (VS 2 disciplines) 2 power source is already extremely expensive... Barbaric blow I hesitate frankly. If there is no critical = almost no effect. So for me, 1 rage. But 3 guile for withering strike is far too much... Or give him a +40 % damage. Expensive but extremely powerful... I did not particularly like the rogue in the 1, its cost in Deadfire makes me take the same path... 3 Guile cost is a lot yeah, but you forget the Weaken Affliction, it is good because it can still affect mobs who has resistance to Constitution, and -5 Con means a roughly 10%-20% health lose, which is pretty decent. Remember the sicken effect of Bleak Walker is useless to mobs with resistance and I'd say meatshield like Trolls will likely have Constitution resistance. But I do agree 3 Guile cost is a bit inbalanced here. 2 Guile might be better. -

Kinda agree with you here, if Disciplined Strike is nerfed, I have no idea what is left for fighters... Single class paladins are still okay, the old PoE 1 FoD also only gives 50% lash bonus, same as now. However the Sworn Enemy nerf make it an unworthy ability now. For Cipher or Fighter, they can get 15-20% damage bonus as a passive bonus. While Paladin need to spend 1 Zeal to get same bonus to only 1 target, or spend extra ability point to nullify the cost. I think it is worthless for all paladins except Goldpact now... -

I'd say now Assassin is definitely not Tier D. 1. Now rogues has the highest penetration, Cripple Strike + Sword modal provides +4 penetration while Barbarian and Monk can only get +2 now. 2. With Pistol + Assassinate + Strike the Bell, you can get 9+4+5 = 18 basic penetration, which will for sure overcome any armor. 3. Though Afflictions are nerfed in Deadfire, Blind is still pretty powerful, +100 recovery time means you slow down enemies by 50% and it is easy to cause blind because Flail Modal + Reflex being weak defense for enemies. 4. And I think actually it's easier to sneak attack enemies now in Deadfire because Escape is a very cheap 'teleport' ability to flank enemies. You spend 1 Guile and can teleport to a Flank position easily. -
I think the reason why character moving forward when Blight cycling is because there is a small gap of time when Blight cycling. So if you were wielding a melee weapon before summon the Minor Blight, the things happens when Blight cycles is Blight -> Blight disappear/switch back to melee weapon -> Blight resummoned. So in that gap the character thinks he is wielding a melee weapon and try to attack enemy and moving toward target.

[Bug] Cannot use active abilities

I uploaded a youtube video here, actually the bug happens quite common on my side, but I dunno how to recreate the bug unfortunately. My platform is windows, beta version is newest beta. Here is the link: PS: Save and load will fix this bug. -
I hope the ship battle and crew management in PoE 2 can be enlightened from the spaceship game 'Faster than Light', it is a roguelike game with a lot spaceship combats and resource management. If the Deadfire ship combat can be something similar, it would be much more interesting and of higher playability. I'm never a fan of text based battle honestly. The spaceship fights there is also very clear and simple, but still fun to play.

Not mean to post an Ads here, but has anyone played FLT here? Link http://store.steampowered.com/app/212680/FTL_Faster_Than_Light/ I find the spacecraft fighting in that game is very entertaining, and the ship fight in POE2 is kind similar to the spacecraft fights there in FLT. If the Devs can spend sometime playing that game, they might have some idea about how to make the ship development and fight more interesting

One thing is that the monk unarmed attack is never tested in beta because the save/load bug which reset transedent suffer damage. After 3 version of beta, I’m still not sure how strong they are because I am not able to test it. -
Smoke Veil grants user invibile for a few second, Smoke Cloud causes affliction to enemies around the caster. For me this two abilities are totally different except their name all have smoke keyword. My question is if Smoke Veil -> Smoke Cloud is a inferior to upgraded version, then they should share some similar function. For example Smoke Cloud not only grant user Invisible, but also cause Affliction around user. If not, then they should not be in a tree structure, but in each seperate section.

The original link is here https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/95985-having-hard-time-to-hit-moving-target-with-abilties/?do=findComment&comment=1976446 The case is when the target is moving, there are chances that when the animation start, the target is within range of ability but when the effect kicks in, the target move out of range, which result in a forced miss and losing source power without any gain. Case 1, using Cripple Strike from invisible to a target -> target moving -> combat tooltip shows Miss because of target out of range. Case 2, using Lay on Hands on a friendly target -> target moving -> no effect but lose 1 zeal. Hopefully this issue got addressed because it is annoying to lose resource in this way. Abilities should either cancel itself and refund the source if the target out of range or still hit the target even target move out of range.

Interesting, so this issue is not enemy only, but also happens to friendly abilities? Then I think this should definitely be addressed because it's not fun to lose power resource because of out of range. -
To the question 1, I think it depends on if your ranger using a bow or a gun, or even a melee ranger? Priest of Magran can summon spiritual pistol which is pretty powerful. Other priests can only summon rod or melee weapon. If u plan to add more support element to your ranger, priest might be good, but imo chanter or Paladin might b a better combo choice. In current beta, IMO single class caster is stronger than multi class ones. But u can do a Shifter/Soulblade and both class is very strong on it own.

Having hard time to hit moving target with abilties

I raise this issue because when I try to backstab someone, after I use smoke veil and turn invisible, the target lose my vision and turn to another target. When he is running around, I never be able to hit him because every time it shows enemy out of range when I finished the animation. Then my invisible duration ends before I can find a chance to hit him Seems like I never notice a similar issue in PoE1, is that because the speed of PoE 1 is very fast?? Or maybe there are such issue but I just didn’t pay attention to it in 1.
