[Bug] Get extra ability point when respec
So I'm level 2 and I respeced my character, but he still got the old ability I picked when level up, now I can select another ability... Actually this happens when I picked Deep Faith when I leveled up before, and when I respec, I cannot select it so I thought I got it, pretty weird.

Respec doesn't work for Devoted
So cannot respect to change weapon proficiency Be aware of this before u wanna start one!

Two Handed weapons and various passives/stances
Do we know if cleave aoe range is impacted by weapon reach? If so staff/Pike may be the best option for the significant reach improvement. Nah it's not affected by your weapon reach. Doing a Crusader playthrough!

Assassin weapon/multiclass
Backstab is pretty bad in current game version. It only adds base weapon damage x 1.5 bonus to your first attack from stealth/invisible. So if you are wielding sabre 13-19 base damage, backstab bonus is = 24 extra damage. If you wield greatsword, you get around 30 extra damage. And since all your abilities are full attack ones, it's just bad to use 2h weapons now.

Two Handed weapons and various passives/stances
Same in the released game. Full attack.

Impression on single class rogue
Yeah I’m just talking about single class one, a lot of issue here. Relying on weapon is not bad, but I don’t like to idea.

Am I playing mindstalker wrong?
It adds extra damage to you melee attack, not override, at least it’s how combat log shows.

[Rough Damage Comparsion lvl 20] Ravager (Pillar/Berserk) vs Transcendent (Pillar/Soul Blade)
Oh I didn’t see the number after dot sorry

[Rough Damage Comparsion lvl 20] Ravager (Pillar/Berserk) vs Transcendent (Pillar/Soul Blade)
So u use it when u have 0 focus? Hmmm this comparsion is not fair.
-
Am I playing mindstalker wrong?
Because backstab damage is nerfed, also soul annihilatiom extra damage is roughly equal to your focus, if u have 40, then u do around 40 more damage.

[Rough Damage Comparsion lvl 20] Ravager (Pillar/Berserk) vs Transcendent (Pillar/Soul Blade)
Why Soul annihilation does so low damage in your calculation???

Scavenger's Lantern, is it St. Drogga's Skull?
As topic, because I'm 100% sure didn't see an item called Scavenger's Lantern, reload the DLC doesn't work.

Berath's Blessing, how does this work?
Sorry if this is asked, but do I need to import a save game from PoE 1 to get the bless?

Impression on single class rogue
If you really wanna play a single class rogue, dual wielding is the best because backstabbing is nerfed hard. You don't really need to go 2h backstabbing style, I'd say backstabbing is pretty weak now because it only gives u a flat 20~30 damage. I'd dual sword or sabre, with some crush weapon in 2nd set. I just rolled a very common pale elf rogue. 10 Str, 10 Con, 19 Dex, 19 Per, 12 Int, 8 Res I think.

Thread for those of us who want to roll a single or multi rogue....lets talk
dunehunter replied to master guardian's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I think everybody overestimate backstabbing, with Might went back to additive bonus, backstabbing add 1.5 x base weapon damage to your hit. So if you wield a sabre, you get extra 20 damage and that's all. It seems to me some people still think backstabbing can increase your total damage by 1.5 times?

Impression on single class rogue
The issue is, I can unlock deathblow with upgraded cripple attack, which +50% damage. I can also do a vanishing blow, which add 150% damage. more 100% flat bonus = weapon damage x 1 = 15 damage difference. One cost 1 guile, one cost 3. A worse ultimate ability than a lvl 1 one is very embarrassing.

Impression on single class rogue
Overall, not bad not good. Single class rogue does 70% sneak attack late game while multiclass one does 60% so not big difference. Gambit is good as u can almost crit everytime u hit, refund the cost and use it again. But the problem is very obvious, your autoattack does almost the same damage as your ability in late game because all damage bonuses are additive bonus. My deathblow autoattack does like 60 damage and my vanishing strike does like 70 damage. Not impressive so far. Only shining point is I got Flurry of Blade, which is an AOE, yeah an AOE!!! Finally rogue has an AOE!!! Backstabbing is also very lame in late game when you have tons of damage bonus, it doesn't worth the extra mouse click.

[Beta 1.0] Monk/Paladin - Helwalker/Kind Wayfarer Build
Well my question TWO posts above still stands :D Oh sorry, but I thought I answered u in your most broken build thread, single class shattered pillar or nalpazca is best imo. Ok, just wanted to know if Bleak Walker adds something that can outdamage in the end a pure Shattered Pillar monk. Since we don't have any hard math yet so far it seems that pure monk will out damage any Multi Monk in end game. At least that is my impression There are just some ability u wanna get as soon as possible, Torment Raise, Turning Wheel, Inner Death. If these are not so good, I'd go Shattered Pillar/Devoted or Shattered Pillar/Paladin for more tankiness.

Might turns from multiplier into additive bonus
I think it is still pretty good on ranged class and casters.

Spells and Abilities Discussion Thread
Both Deep Wounds and Persistent Distraction is a bit buggy. DoT breaks invisible currently, Persistent Distraction will cancel any Perception Affliction on target if u disengage or turn invisible.

[Beta 1.0] Monk/Paladin - Helwalker/Kind Wayfarer Build
Heavy armor, because with helwalker penalty u are very fragile, u keeps yourself alive by healing constantly, so better not be one-shotted.
