That's good. It's easy to implement, no animation has to be changed and it also makes sense - except the weapon & shield variant: why should somebody avoid misses when using a shield? Since bash is no longer part of Deadfire: maybe allow a single bash with the shield when doing Full Attacks? Don't know if this would require an additional animation. Alternatively a low tier affliction like staggered for a short amount of time (simulating a shield bash)? Or like the AoE Pollaxe: is gives you a short immunity to melee attacks after executing a swirl. Maybe that would be cool for a Full Attack for shield users: even more emphasis on defense while executing an attack? I have thought about allow bash with no-bashable shield on full attack, but i'm not sure if it is easy to implement tho.

How does this pass the test play through? A druid lvl 9 summon that only does 20 damage? While another infinite summon with many actives and does 100 damage in aoe? I mean at least you guys should test every class, use some console to get access to full abilities and test them one by one. It is obvious which is very much underwhelming which is overpowered isn't it? I mean anyone whoever played any RPG games will do. Or the testers has their personal favors???

First of all, people have a misunderstanding that Primary Attack always favors 2h weapons, however that’s hell wrong. Only Primary attack with very high damage bonus do, otherwise it’s more balanced because with dual wielding u recover faster so there are no difference between using primary attack with 2h or DW. I also vote for giving each style bonus to Full Attack ability. 2h = maximize damage roll, single = bonus critical damage, shield = miss->graze

The problem that then arises is that you also wouldn't be able to do anything else in most battles. Ultimately that's an issue with the way they've replaced uses/encounter with resources/encounter - every ability has to be balanced as something repeatable that potentially replaces all preceding abilities, rather than as something that will happen X number of times per encounter. /shrug Why that is an issue? U can choose to use FoD 10 times or use SI x1, Lay on hand x2 FoD x4, it’s more flexible than PoE 1. Yes u can barely do anything if u use your high cost abilities a lot times, but it’s all up to you and in PoE 1 you cannot even do this, can u has SI twice in 1? No.

If we are able to pick one favorite kit from Baldur's Gate 2 to migrate into DeadFire, I will never vote for mageslayer. They picked one of the worst kit in Bg2 and move it to DF, they are almost exactly same functionally. I wish they can ask us before pick it, anyway for me I will vote for Inquisitor instead. Inquisitor with Carsomyr is much cooler.

Any attacks that deals this damage type, based on day or night. But the problem is the chance is nerfed to 5% so don’t bother build a character around it, it’s a nice bonus but that’s all Any way to increase the chance? Otherwise i'm seeing obsidian really clueless in how to balance and even making procs interesting. They just go the way by disable and removing features which is really stupid. Well if the chance is high, this gear will be too powerful. I have a video about a character dual wielding Sun and Moon/Sungrazer with Dragon Thrashed, it just kill everyone nearby without me to actually attack them. I think the 5% chance to proc is just fine.

Yeah as Boeroer said, so if you hit enemy 3 times without crit, then you put 3 stack on enemy, and then if you crit, it will trigger an AOE damage based on how many stacks enemy has, so if 3 stack = 3 x 10 = 30 damage, and this can be amplified by damage bonus and lash from the helm. So you wanna hit yourself with elec damage to charge Deltro's Cage Helm, so use confused + static charge is a good idea. And since we want to get all the crit hit we can get, Heart of Fury and Barbarian Retaliation is ideal source because of the extra hit we get.

Yeah it's sad that all good barbarian ability comes so late too! I think you can get that cloak by stealth with the help of crackers. I might have time to make a video showing how. Otherwise you has two options. 1) Let someone death door you or 2) use Eder's Saint War Armor to maximize the effect of Vengeful Defeat (still late game tho...)

Well at least I don’t like to use scrolls, maybe I’m the minority, but I feel scrolls are like a cheat button currently...
