  1. So a steel garrote/chanter can be very good, since chanter has a phrase to place weakened on enemy, which triggers garrote's life stealing, also chanter has life steal too to make the build very tanky.
  2. As topic, was thinking about a Steel Garrote/Streetfighter build that relies on life draining to maintain tankiness. Sanguine Greatsword is a good one since streetfighter has huge recovery reduction and steel garrote + sword's draining can keep the character alive. Any other weapon options for the build?
  3. i think there's enough subclass. what obsidian needs to do is revisit those subclasses and improve them. i find many of those subclass having very steep penalties while having mediocre benefits. Yep, and some has huge bonus with very little malus.
  4. As topic, just did some quick test and can backstab from stealth but can not from shadowing beyond.
  5. The issue with Druid is spiritshifting is pretty useless on PoTD, enemies got +2 AR while your spirit form has untuned Pen, and the Pen only scales with level.
  6. Imagining killing the 5k hp bosses in turn based mode, good luck!
  7. @maxQuest I also don’t like the boss fight design in DF, like u said, boss in PoE 1 only have 1k endurance but bosses in DF usually have over 5k hp, which is a very lazy way to make them hard to kill zzz. I don’t really urge to replay the bosses fights after I beat them because it’s more a repeating labour than a brainstorm.
  8. Always true ? I test it few hours ago, don't work for others weapons. The underline statement is fixed in one of the patch.
  9. I’d say it’s more about balance, if u set the cap at 20 then u need to trigger 25 times instead of only one time, the wound cost is different.
  10. As topic, just curious if there should be a cap because with frostseeker u can stack like 500 resonant touch layers and instantly kill any boss once u trigger it.
  11. What about a Paladin/Blood mage, I think with infinite spell resource it is possible to tank Dorudugan.
  12. So the bonus/malus to decrease/increase radius is fixed or not? From what undead_lee said, it seems it is a fixed +/- 1 PL.

  14. You won't be able to affect him with chilfog as he has sky high fortitude. You want spells that target reflex/deflection but even then it will miss a lot. He has immunity to mind afflictions. He can't be interrupted and as he has resistance to bodily afflictions (afflictions get put a tier below) so hobble would go to none. He is also immune to interruption attacks. TLDR: He is a walking bloated stat machine. You won't be able to facetank him. So yeah, you need to take inspiration from Kaylon's and use summons to endlessly die to Dorudugan while you pelt him from afar. It's melee attack will reduce your max hp if I remember correctly.
  15. Is Forbidden First + Garrote the strongest lvl 1 combo? You have two tier 3 affliction available on lvl 1. But the efficiency drop dramatically once level up and facing stronger enemies. As 1. enemies will have higher and higher fortitude defense, 2. forbidden fist get wounds slower than normal monk.
  16. Arcane Archer would be the best single classes ranger once they fix the imbue ability bugs. As Boeroer said, with right combo, 5 Death Ring in a row can be very devastating. And the penalty can be easily overcome by picking right weapon.
  17. I think you would want to use the soulbound dagger and dlc3 robes because both gives u a chance to recast your spell.
  18. it has 7600 hp higher than any other in the game feels like forever and atleast 20 minutes Obviously they don't make the right decision when creating these bosses. Fun to beat >> hard to beat imo. 7600hp is too much to have fun without some trick pony.
  19. I think a more generic buff on enemies in PoTD is better than AR/PEN buff. The reason behind is that boosting enemy AR/Pen narrows our choices of classes we can pick. If the team cannot effectively reduce AR and boost Pen, it will have big issue on PoTD, thus force u to pick classes that able to do so. Also high hp bosses favors classes that has unlimited resources (chanter/monk/cipher). So if you wanna solo the game and beat these mega bosses, u better pick a chanter or monk because one of the boss has 7600 hp on PoTD... Of course improve AI is the best way to make the game more fun, but as we all know it is very difficult and requires a lot of work. But I do think we can find a better way to make enemies more challenging than just boost ar/pen. For example, boosting enemy damage, attack speed and movement speed, giving random inspiration to mini bosses.

  21. I think it's debatable that berseker is better because the hidden health bar + high level self raw damage can be very dangerous. While it is clear that Vanilla Rogue << Trickster and Vanilla Chanter << Troubaour.
  22. Anyone found the formula of this ability? Sounds like very cool concept.
