  1. Re-introduce the slayer talent is a good idea yeah. It is less complexed than hunter's claw, but have a similar purpose. Maybe there can be a d&d bane of enemies kind talent for ranger. The hunter's claw feels very mandatory and inefficient unless u have a lot meta knowledge of the game, and arrange your incoming combats carefully to maximize its benefit.
  2. So in BoW we have the Priest of Rymrgand, I haven't played the DLC yet so not sure if they get Secrets of Rime, but I just wonder why Priest doesn't have access to the talent? They do lack Ice based spells, but they also lack Lightning based ones, yet they got Heart of the Storm. Is this intended or not? I find it really weird that both Wizard and Druid have access to all four talent but Priest can only learn 3 of them, specially when we have a ice themed Priest subclass.
  3. Not so much a fan of Druid, shapeshifting can be more fun by letting us to turning into not only a Lightning Blight, but other elemental Blight, and grant PL based on the elements we shift into. Like u can get +Fire PL if shift into Fire Blight, +Water PL if into Water Blight and etc. Druid shall also be able to buff themselves as they are draining power from nature, thus shall be able to cast like Earth Skin(maybe like Iron Skin from wizard), and Earth Power(grant Might Inspiration).
  4. I really like the new patch, it adds a lot replayabilty to the game, hopefully we can get more lvl 8,9 abilities to some underwhelming single classes like rangers in future.
  5. I just think both Blade turning and BDD + Salvation cheesy thus choose not to use them I can imagine a Sage, with blade turning + arcane reflection, and stacking range attack deflection to trigger soul mirror. Now you are immune to melee, immune to single target blast and almost immune to range attack, and u reflect all them back... Just like the Mirrorback build, it's very powerful for sure, but I feel it's bit too much.
  6. What does it do? Forced slow mode when u land a killblow.
  7. It's very annoying actually...
  8. They don't only have two offensive abilities, check my newest video here https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/105805-class-build-heladin-in-flame-in-construction/
  9. Aye, the new ability can be used between encounters, so it's another 20 accuracy for rangers to one race. Actually even without the new ability I'm able to stack over 180 accuracy on a ranger, so 200 deflection is a big issue to other classes, but not ranger.
  10. Yo! Still working on this build, but first let me show a demo video about the build concept and how u can optimize the usage of Sacred Immolation Some key point you will need to maximize it's effect; Stats: 18 STR, 15 DEX, 6 CON, 10 PER, 10 INT, 18+1 RES, with Gipon + Cloak of Poverty I can start the combat with 29 Res, with Clarity of Agony casted, I only take 2 raw ticks from SI, it also makes me more tanky, so I can take some hit even in light armor. Inspired Defense and Blunting Belt are picked to overcome the Pierce weakness of padded armor. Buffed Stats is: 35 STR, 20 DEX, 6 CON, 10 PER, 20 INT, 30 RES, I don't need Con because Moongodlike tides buffed my HP MAX. Stacking Fire PL items, you will need Magran's Favor, Sun & Moon and the cat Otto starcat. As I discovered that PL has same formula on SI and weapon abilities, it raise base damage! Also since PL increase range, duration, and with +10 INT from Duality of Mortal Presence, I can keep the AoE in good range and long duration with a base 10 INT. As a meleer Helwalker, the most important thing is stay alive, thus I picked Kind wayfarer, Moon godlike for extra healing and Armor, and for the cheese and cake, I picked Espirs as my secondary weapon set, so when enemies is in low hp, I just switch to it for extra healing, and then switch back, just like the video shows. To further boost SI, I use ring of focused flame + footsteps of beast, as the Hobble affliction means -10 reflex and it doesn't need to check enemy defense. What I need to do is, being surrounded, and move a little bit and everyone around me will be Hobbled. The demo video as below, I'm a bit lazy to test if this is soloable, but it's definitely fun to watch
  11. I found that Sacred Immolation functions like weapon abilities, so PL will increase it's base damage, not a flat damage bonus like spells. With Magran Favor + Sun&Moon + Fire PL pet I'm able to do 100+ fire damage per pulse as a Kind wayfarer/Helwalker ops
  12. So a ranger/chanter can study his own summons for the acc bonus i guess? A bit cheesy, but the easiest way to get the bonus.
  13. Yeah I totally agree. Like in PoE 1, if you have that scion of flame talent, it only affects your fire lash and fire damage, but in DF, it increase your physical base damage just because your ability has a fire keyword and u have bonus PL for fire keyword, how weird it is. Imo it should only increase your lash damage because it's fire based.
  14. It heavily favors multiple class imo, because almost all other class have a way to boost damage bonus, but lack efficient way to boost accuracy. And rangers are so good at it.
  15. Some quick math, battle axe base damage in average is 16, greatsword is 21. With +4 PL from magran and sun/moon, you raise the base damage of axe for FoD to 16*1.2=19.2, and with lash from magran, you pretty much do same damage as a 2her FoD with your main weapon FoD, and then plus u hit enemy with offhand weapon/FoD, not to mention the much lower recovery time from fast weapon... And if you are kind wayfarer, you heal twice with DW... The balance here is totally screwed imo.
  16. Haven't tried the kill camera, is it like something in Dragon Age Origins? Really like the killing animation there.
  17. PL is still a multiplier for weapon abilities, like @Manveru123 explained, it makes low level abilities like Crippling Strike and FoD more powerful than high level abilities because like when u are lvl 20, your Crippling Strike will have an invisible x1.35 multiplier to the damage, and this is not lash not damage bonus, but an unique bonus. Also item like Magran's Favor, Sun&Moon makes FoD extremely powerful, paladin dual wielding these can do much more damage with FoD than a two hander FoD due to the additional PL, and I mean the first strike of FoD already surpass a 2 hander FoD due to higher PL/base damage.
  18. I don't like this ability either, it doesn't catch my eyes as u said, rangers have already a lot acc bonus. The rest two ability feels good tho. I just checked on the BETA. They are upgrades form the accuracy talent so you have to pick the accuracy talent no mater what I mean the bonded fury and heart seeker.
  19. I don't like this ability either, it doesn't catch my eyes as u said, rangers have already a lot acc bonus. The rest two ability feels good tho.
  20. I wonder is soulbound weapon is even worse with this change.
  21. Does the hunter claws bonus canceled if u use it between different races?
