  1. Thanks, makes sense. Especially considering my atrocious rolls
  2. Hi, I'm having my ass kicked in the very first scenario after tutorial. Stuff like Goblin Warrior damage me for 4, Bugbears do 8 or so, Ogre does 10 +1 splash and so on... Basically every attack I suffer from a monster ends up in whole hand being discarded, number is so riddiculously high no amount of armor will mitigate it. Which after 2 fails turns into total party wipe. And none of the monsters have their damage listed on the card, so I never know if this is mortal danger or something to shrug off. Am I missing something?
  3. I'd just want to point out, in favour of suggestion - most clubs that are in current use (starting from infamous blackjacks - perfect when chlorophorm is out of reach) exist solely for subduing. So long interrupt (hopefully a bit longer than a standard weapon) would perfectly fit the theme.
  4. What paladin order does the scale represent? Is it Nofunni Palladini, the order dedicated to slaughtering of everything (especially wizards) that may be a threat to perceived balance? Normally they are kinder than Kind Wayfayers.. but if anything threathens The Balance even Bleak Walkers get bleaker in face of Nofunni brutality.
  5. If it only was relevant to the setting. There is no religion in PoE that afaik shuns on abortion. And the way the game world is constructed everyone knows that souls circulate through the wheel. Hell, I guess some day they may be up to discussion when soul is bound to the body, which would be relevant to the topic and shine a light on why/if abortion is considered a moral act or not.. After all not a body yet/empty body vs body with soul makes a difference in PoE world. So TL;DR: trying to impose our world morality/choices connected to it on a world so different from ours is a fail. Sure some parts of both moralities are similar, but many are not.
  6. Aside from Rodericks Keep there is at least one more instance in the Dyrford Village Egg quest. Don't remember if it was marked [bleak walker] in the dialogue options, but after telling "you ,you and you - gtfo!" they were all "[bleak Walker] Umm.. sure, sorry no offense, please don't remember our names". I'm sure that in one place of Act III when being a sissy about human sacrifice NPC reacts to a Bleak Walker behaving odd.
  7. Pretty easy to do with barbarian - single wield something, hide in the corner above Heodan (only 1 person can attack you), focus on a tougher character (Calisca, Heodan, Odema) and watch everyone else die to carnage.
  8. Sagani suffers really bad from mechanical side. She is very well written, but while made a believable character - her quest did not engage me that much. Maybe she is a bit too much down-to-earth? Aloth has the same issues on mechanical side, plus he is annoying as hell.
  9. You also get a great update of the quest, about how killing them all will help you much more than sipping some tea. On that note - afterwards you can boast to Calisca's sister about how you killed them. And end up killing her in the process. Similar for the cook from black hound inn - can kill him and then boast about it to tavern owner. Doesn't end well for everyone on the floor.
  10. I helped them (finished their quests and not killed all of them) and there was nothing about it on the ending slides.. bug or we're talking not about the spiderbros under the stronghold?
  11. That's actually an act of mercy. There is more to this story, you can find the explanation in the diaries of previous 'adventurers' that went there and started dying one by one. In regards to that particular xaurip there is also a third way - most beneficial to the both sides. ooh, do tell in a PM. Can't figure that one out.
  12. Not items you've missed, entirely different collection. Most of those are just fine/exceptionals with no other specials + backer descriptions are missing. Still - it is the best way to get an exceptional weapon at level 3 (if you go straight through the crit path and crit path only) which is a huge boost to efficiency
  13. Pistol ,being in the same weapon group, is a great alternative to blunderbuss when dealing with high DR enemies. As for sabres - the advantage is only against low DR enemies. Note that what sabre has as extra damage mace has as DR. So against enemy with 3DR they both do same damage. Except high slash DR is much, much more common.
  14. They were all 10s I believe. I do hope pets got atlethics though, they are all secretly fatigued all the time..
  15. You're not reading his point right. Moving any stat points from character RP vision to satisfy their mechanical needs (Eder more tanky. Durance more aoe-y) is travesty against the RP. Not said that I agree with it though, as for me the attribute distribution of companions is more of a testament to the fact their stats were set before attribute changes of post-v435, not because of RP only. So they do need minor tweaking. But some stuff should not be touched (eg. being Durance's 19 resolve which crucially ties to the way his character behaves). From RP point I don't mind Eder losing some Int, he has his wisdom but in the end he is a bit of a half-wit farmboy.. Nor do I grieve after Durance losing some PER, not really what determined him as a person, being perceptive.
  16. Well, he is smart, just blinded by his misplaced faith which is represented by resolve. I'd say minor tweaks are welcome.
  17. How about Frau Terrible Sagani? Anybody grabbed her yet? I really want to learn the story, but the inner munchkin in me cries bloody tears everytime I see her..
  18. Is this the thread where I can talk about how no ending "eat all the souls and become god yourself" is available? I really expected this as an option.
  19. Honestly - it is not just a fine scepter. It has increased attack speed, which makes it *really* fast. Perfect if you have a mage with penetrating blast. Remember kids - fine/exceptional/superb enchantment can be crafted, but other stuff can't
  20. That happens even if you support him? I'm also interested what happens in the long run when you help Readric and kill Kolsc. I know that reputation goes down in guilded vale, but is there another quest in act 3 like when you kill Readric? No further quests. The ending for Gilded Vale is interesting though
  21. It is ]spoiler[ ]/spoiler[ (just reverse the brackets ) I slept quite a few times, maybe I got Grieve-blocked indeed. He didn't approach the topic on his own after getting the blessing of the gods. Will have to try another time or an older save and do it again.
  22. Not really a good topic for non-spoilers forum.. I know that a certain wizard companion's personal quest has a moment where it has to be advanced in act II and before going to act III, as
  23. In the name of all that's good - oh yes. At least make the active character have a different shade of green at the selection circle or something..
  24. Which gets you stuck on another piece. The quest log says to Yet I exhausted every option and are left with
  25. Well armored doesn't mean graze friendly - deflection is tested against accuracy, not armor level. Is this the quest in Defiance Bay? If yes - lvl 3 is a bit underlevelled (as visible by enemy spellcaster criting with spells all teh time). I'd suggest 4-5. But it should be doable on lvl 3.
