  1. When the quest activates? RIght after he is killed or at another time?
  2. Mind lance is pierce? Because that is an insane amount of damage to deal to a dragon with pierce..
  3. On that note: Is it possible to get a favor from Wael or Woadicea at all? Especially the latter one interests me, for the irony of the situation.
  4. But besides deep wounds - no reason. Its the rest of the party that provides status effects (that allow for sneak attacks) anyway. Rogue skills are only for alpha damage (hobbling/blinding strike not only is sneak but has additional +.25 dmg)
  5. "I'm too stupid to wait for the enemy to just die, die now!" Int should do the very opposite for DoTs - reduce the time it takes to apply the damage. Same for Crits. And if that is the route Obsidian will take - in b4 "my DoT does X damage in -10 seconds!" If not - the tooltips should update to reflect new total damage (I assumed this is the case now, DPS from spell doesnt change, just the number of seconds)
  6. Funny, also had it from ogre druids. May those be the druids on the way to Twin Elms or in the dungeon?. Mine was on road to twin elms.
  7. IF it happened to companions - usually removing them from party and adding them back should fix it. Source: Had the spell VFX with suppressed in character sheet, did above - worked.
  8. A good option would be that falling bad with a faction (that we ended a quest chain for) ends up with losing the faction talent - and unlocking the possibility to work for others. Failing all that, as others said - have an option in which Webb invites you when the faction leader for faction you ended the quest chain is dead/ reputation with faction is hostile.

  10. From my experience you can lock yourself out of quests for other factions if you go too hard with one of the 3, but the quest to unlock shop/use shop in every one of them is separate. So your bad standing with Totally not Guild of Thieves / Brotherhood of Steel / Dozens of Failed DnD parties doesn't affect access to their shops.
  11. Some people like me are reroll-aholics. From having rerolled a wizard a lot, I'm finding that upgrading the blast is the best way of spending their talents. The bonus spell slot barely matters, and the grimoire slam is too close range and keeps putting the squishy wizards in danger. Upgrading the blast makes them much better in longer battles as they can just spam wand attacks for decent aoe damage. Agreed on the blast. it is vital to have upgraded blast not to waste spells in trash mob encounters. And do some decent damage at the same time. As for grimoire slam - think about shadows/phantoms. This is not an offensive skill, but defensive - it breaks engagement and allows you to run. Shame the attack isn't faster.
  12. Wait what? Do casters get now lvl 1/2/3 turned to per encounter at some point? and if yes - at which? This indeed needs to be communicated better. As for useless talent - there are many trap talents, there are talents that shine early on and are wasted later and talents that early don't do much but later shine. Choose wisely. The additional spell isn't (all that) useless, think about what it allows on all those lower levels when it was still per rest.
  13. Do you have a horn that addss intelect and additional focus if endurance >50%? If yes - bug minght be related to this item. Unfortunately the only workaround I know so far is to load a save before you equipped it.
  14. Serious question. Not in the copperlane, not in the Vale.. It is a component that shows up on many enchantements yet for the love of Eothas I'm limited to what I'll pick in the forest. Help, hilfe!
  15. Not really, you are building DPS without the D. Int isn't useful fo rogue, contrary to the popular opinion (unless you want it for dialogue purposes). Other party memebers drop effects on enemies anyway, the skills that give blinded/hobbled etc. from rogue are mostly for the damage multiplier they give. With low con and int it is perfectly viable to make a rogue with high all other stats (and if you are lying/intimidating type resolve is useful). Basically for rogue: by dumping 2 stats (CON will always be one of them) you can raise all the others really high,a voiding the low might problem. Warning though - you need to be good at getting your rogue not hit and/or as soon as you find any items increasing your endurance put them on rogue. My dual wield rogue built that way killed the bear solo on 2nd try.
  16. So it's the horn! I thought the modals got broken (because some other modals act funky, eg. reckless assault for rogue). But you are right - in my instance when focus stopped generating I had that damn horn equipped.

(sorry for links, forum does not allow embedding steam imgs) I have an issue where soul whip seems to activate (it is listed in the character sheet as active), however it does not show up next to the portrait and the attacks are not generating any focus. http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/36367147130170434/D0B55BCABD6DD2596F0EFCAA43B90505141B0B35/ On the screenshot below you can see no focus gained on attack (I had 4 focus before the attack was made). Doubt that much damage translates to 0 focus, especially it happens with each attack. After load the ability is listed next to portrait, but there is no green border to symbolize modal being on.   19. The [agressive] [diplomatic] tags are quite useful though. I was watching quill18's Let's Play and at some points the dialogue is a bit ambiguous about it's tone. The same way it is hard to tell sarcasm on the internet without sarcasm tag. Text can't convey the tone that well.. Agreed about attribute checks though.
  20. Howdy, Just a quick question about DoT. Abilities and spells (eg. Combustible Wounds) show DoT as (example) "5 Damage Over Time for 20 seconds". Does it mean that the enemy will suffer 5 damage total over the course of 20 seconds.. or is it 5 damage each second for 20 seconds? The description is a bit confusing.. Thanks!
  21. I'd be suprised if pre-load did not already include the day-1 patch. Unless it wasn't ready yesterday.
  22. This can be witnessed to extreme in beta. There is at least one dialogue where "hey, look at me, I'm so perceptive in the middle of a civil conversation" leads to fight out of sudden.
  23. That could be fun, but won't it take while to be able to acquire a blunderbuss and is ammo for that plentiful enough for your main weapon? I think a pistol volley then getting up close and personal with dual stilettos might work better and is covered by one weapon proficiency,no? That's kinda where I'm undecided as well, Blunderbuss seems like it's powerful but Pistols + Stilettos is a great efficiency combo... In one of the videos a guy is wielding a mace with a stiletto... not sure what to make of that. Weapon proficiency is pretty low on talent list choices for dual wields - vulnerable attack and two-weapon style come first. That's why you don't have to settle on one weapon type til level 6/8
