  1. Before Star Trek, they all just wore red hats.
  2. Ya know, I actually agreed with him on several of his policies. Not all of them, but at least some. If he hadn't been such a vile, hateful, ignorant man I might even have come to support him. As it is, his mental issues make him much too dangerous to remain in power. He makes me feel like Presidential candidates need to be put through a battery of mental health checks. The kind that astronauts need to pass.
  3. Two Lunar Lander Missions for 2021 First U.S. robotic moon lander since Apollo era planned for mid-2021
  4. Or... he's a mentally-ill man in a disturbed state of mind who is constantly looking for ways to feed his fragile ego. He's lost touch with reality, and the country is responding to the threat he poses. Occam's razor applies.
  5. Ruh-roh, Trumps honorary degree from Lehigh University has been revoked. How will his ego ever recover from this blow? https://www.npr.org/sections/congress-electoral-college-tally-live-updates/2021/01/08/954883159/lehigh-university-revokes-president-trumps-honorary-degree
  6. I can't really speak for the people of my state, particularly since we're in lockdown. It's a pretty mixed bag of opinions really. If I had to guess I'd say many people are disgusted by the whole thing, as I am. Mostly though I'm just glad it's over, and that Trump's political career is likely wrecked beyond recovery. But the more I see of this whole operation, the more disturbing it gets. I'll root for the FBI to dig out the roots of this misdeed.
  7. ...and it turns out some of the rioters entering the legislature were wearing paramilitary gear and carrying zip ties. Yeah, for hostage taking.
  8. A ban that would actually matter: Pelosi Asks Military To Limit Trump's Nuclear Authority. Here's How That System Works It's not going to happen though. Scary time.
  9. It's a good game. You get used to the figures pretty quickly.
  10. Well the mad king is going to snub the inauguration. Just imagine if he showed up anyway. Awkward...
  11. Snake legs, I think.
  12. Democracy is messy, yes, but still worth fighting for.
  13. The woman who was shot and killed was a Trump supporter. I think as people get rounded up and jailed, the stark truth will come out.
  14. That was my thought as well. Historically, it reminded me of the Beer Hall Putsch. In that case though, the German police responded with much greater use of force.
  15. One of these things is not like the other. Protest is allowed under the constitution. Rioting and looting is not. Storming the capital building in an attempt to intimidate the government is most definitely not. The mob of morons were okay up until the point where they decided to invade Congress. At that point they should have been met by a hail of bullets. There's a reason why the main streets of Paris are so wide.
  16. Idiots indeed. Yes it's a head scratcher as to why they got so riled up over what's essentially a fake conspiracy. They're lucky they didn't get mowed down on the capital steps.
  17. I suspect they more or less rely on their genius overlord to do the thinking. But I'm not really sure that he has thought this through either; he just relies to much on lies and sewing chaos to get his way.
  18. Well I assume they were trying to disrupt the proceedings. But then it's an army of idiots overdosing on testosterone so they clearly didn't think it through very well. What they potentially could have done is take congress-people hostage, prevent a peaceful transfer of power, and justify Trump declaring martial law. &c.
  19. Alas, Idiocracy was a documentary.
