  1. Perhaps a better game design would be to track when you are having difficulty with a certain section of the game and be willing to suggest hints during the game restart?
  2. Well, maybe if they made it a race between countries, some people would be more willing to take one for the team?
  3. January 1st is Public Domain Day in the U.S. Hurray! 😎 Disney only managed to screw us over for a couple of decades.
  4. Yes the above belongs in the politics thread.

Somebody needs to do a study of modern injury rate versus the rate 30-40 years ago. It sure seems like it's a lot higher, even from practice. Too many massive brawny guys constantly running into each other and this is what you get. I wonder if the sport wouldn't benefit from some weight caps?
  6. I think it may depend on the facility. My Dad's living in an assisted living complex and they have been exceptionally careful in their response. People are only supposed to visit for medical reasons, and they set up specific events for meetings with family members. They've only had one confirmed case in a staff member. He's signed up for an early vaccination there, so I'm happy about that.
  7. Dawn Wells Dies Of Covid-19: Mary Ann On ‘Gilligan’s Island’ Was 82 Very sorry to hear that. Her character was a sweetheart. RIP.
  8. Looking forward to watching Trump lose multiple times on Jan. 6th. It just never gets old.
  9. I don't think that's going to keep out the COVID-19 virus. But it might work with HPV.
  10. NPR's Favorite Books Of 2020: The Book Concierge Is Back With 380+ Great Reads Planning to read The City We Became: A Novel by N. K. Jemisin, Piranesi by Susanna Clarke, and Agency by William Gibson. I also need to read this year's Hugo and Nebula award winners.
  11. I believe the early findings were a minimum, not an expiration date, so your math is wrong. We don't yet know which lasts longer, and we may not know for another year. It may depend on how you were infected and other factors. A shot in the arm is much more controllable than a random viral load though.
  12. Yep, they can dance better than me. But that's not exactly a high bar.
  13. I have to question whether that will even serve it's original intended use as an economic stimulus. The more important aspect of the bill for many is the extension of the unemployment benefits.

Hey, if the 2010 Seahawks can make the playoffs with a 7-9 record and still win a playoff game...
  15. The coolest ancient weapons discovered in 2020
  16. Yes, I'm in the same boat. I'd never have made it past my teen years without them. They've been essential on a couple of occasions since then. I can probably say the same thing about vaccines, but it's harder to say what you avoided than what you recovered from. Personally I'm not sure why you'd want to live in the past; things get steadily worse the further back you go. I'm more interested in what the future will bring.
  17. I think the guy made everybody a little crazy in one way or another. It's sad to see the impact of electing a mentally-ill man to the office. Hopefully, once he's gone, everything can start to return to normal.
  18. The basset Winston, slayer of squeaky toys.
