i started civilization V yesterday afternoon... one turn later it was almost morning

i dont really have a preference but for the sake of consistency between games of the same series i'd say that 6 is better

i'd like to see a more character reaction driven quest system in witcher 3 i came across a dwarf attacked by 3 bandits and helped him. then i helped a mercenary settle a debt with his brother in law (a merchant) then i was asked to get something from a warehouse the dwarf was guarding the warehouse and because i helped him he let me in to get the item a worker who saw me come out went to call his boss the boss was the earlier merchant who let the thing slide because i patched his relationship with the mercenary later the mercenary was willing to offer the service of his men for another quest had i done something different in this line of events, things would have changed in later quests. something similar they had in Alpha Protocol so they can do it if they want

i started doing nothing this saturday and i feel like i need a couple more days to complete the task

as many critics said it would be best if they made Tarkin's CG presence a holographic projection. due to the blurry and transparent form of a hologram the fact that he is in CG would go unnoticed and even if people did notice, they would just say "it was a hologram" in the case of Leia, they could just keep her with her back turned on the camera. she was an easily recognizable character without showing her face.

DOOM is harder than i thought. it has been a while since i last played any shooter and even more since i played something so fast so that may be adding to the difficulty. but something unexpected happened. while i was playing (average 100fps on vulcan with my RX470) the game crashed with a windows message saying "not enough memory". the only other game that does this is Black Desert Online that couldn't be optimized worse even if the developers tried. i'm starting to think the issue may be in windows and not the games

i made myself a christmas present and bought Doom on steam. the download will probably take more time to complete than making a full completionist run of the game at the highest difficulty

there is a big discount on deus ex mankind divided on steam right now and i was looking into it, but decided to leave it for some other time. while i am interested in the game, all the reviews say the same thing about it: corporate greed! they cut at least 1/3 of the game off the initial release to sell as DLC. since i am a patient man, i will wait for a complete edition sometime in the next year.

i don't know why but i can't stop laughing

one thing they said about it is that it will have some some sort of automatic overclock. if the temperature, voltage and other factors allow it, it will raise it's speed to beyond factory specs up to it's max stable operational speed
