  1. the only freedom the so called "free world" offers, is letting you choose your cage
  2. if for just one year, governments did not spend anything on their military (besides the salaries of the those working there) and gave that money for research, we could advance our technology by 100 years in a decade
  3. the conclusion of the reviews is that he 1600 is the best value among all R5s. 6 cores, 12 threads, and can be overclocked to the same speed as a 1600X with the stock cooler (while the 1600X has no cooler). way ahead on the similarly priced 4c4t 7600K in everything but games where they get similar results, with the 1600 being future proof
  4. no, the feathers are waterproof and act as heat insulators, so the meat is barely affected by the water. the only thing that happens is that the pores become more loose. allowing the feathers to pop out of the skin with ease. besides, when he kills a chicken its to eat it within 24 hours. there is no need to take steps to ensure it stays fresh for more than that as they do with super market chicken.
  5. my father has some chicken, mostly for the eggs, and he just dips them in boiling water for a few seconds, then passes a normal comb along and all feathers get off
  6. in short you get back to what i say: fascism is a totalitarian ideology and totalitarians are all about silencing those who disagree (be they left or right that silence the other... but it is true that usually the left are more keen to act this way)
  7. funny but in some cases inaccurate. for example fascism is not a type of socio economical ideology, it's the belief that any ideology besides your own is wrong and should be banned. a socialist who believes that capitalists should be kicked out of his country is as fascist as right wing extremist who says that all immigrants should go home and take all pro immigrant people with them or an SJW who violently prevents people to exercise their right to free speech because he doesn't like what they say
  8. it's true that it is still behind, but lets not forget that 7700K is the latest in a long line of gaming monopolizing CPUs in the last 7 years so games are made by default to use its features fully, while Ryzen is completely new and any performance it gets, it gets it by brute force since no existing game "knows" how to use it.
  9. latest tests show that the gaming performance of ryzen was due to the bad nvidia drivers, especially in dx12 games... and since EVERYONE used a gtx1080 for the tests, they all found it under-performing because the 1080 was not cooperating with the CPU pairing ryzen with a 480 in dx12 games, raises fps up to 70%. in rise of the tomb rider dx12, 2 480 got 40-50fps gain over a 1070 with 1800X and about 10fps with 7700K, closing the gap from over 40% to just 7%, with dx11 performance ratio being almost identical another test put the 470 vs the 1060 with R7 1700 in the division dx11 and 12. the 470 got an average of 128 fps in dx11 and 190fps in dx12, while the 1060 got 144 in dx12 and 160 in dx11 so it seems the "let's use the most powerful GPU to avoid bottlenecks" philosophy backfired because the nvidia drivers were creating a much bigger bottleneck than they knew.
  10. if it wasn't for EA's money it would probably be about 10% lower. most reviews i've seen so far feel like the reviewer is struggling to make some things look good to justify his inflated score.
  11. funny pic but inaccurate. hieroglyphics were actually a phonetic alphabet like greek and roman and not ideograms like chinese.
  12. a problem has been found that explains the gaming performance of Ryzen so far. the chip is divided in 2 nodes with 4 cores each and there is a significant latency in the communication between the nodes. the problem seems also to relate to the inability of current motherboards to accept fast RAM, so with more mature motherboards it may disappear. i also heard that AMD has come up with a software solution that they handed over to microsoft to implement on a windows update. i don't know if that solution was part of yesterday's update for win10 but if it was, it seems to also affect the older FX series because after installing said update i gained a significant boost in performance in games that were very heavy on my 8350
  13. the tax system here has a very weird way of operating that is borderline theft. we don't get taxed for what we make, we get taxed (especially those who own a business) based on imaginary income. in my case i have to disclose what i made and what i spend for my business which is the normal thing to do. however, to the number that comes out of it they add an imaginary income of 3000 euro just because i exist, 3000 euro for owning a house (based on the size of the house), 2000 euro for owning a car (based on the cc) and the resulting imaginary income is taxed at 42%. then the tax amount is doubled because the law says i have to prepay next year's tax. then a separate tax comes for the house and car (which means these 2 things are taxed twice). with a system like that, it's a wonder that there is anyone who isn't evading taxes
  14. my cat learned a new skill: short range teleport! last night, trying to steal a piece of cheese i was holding, she moved like a dragonball character. in a blink she moved from sitting on the floor to grabbing my chest with her claws while trying to bite the part of the cheese that was between my fingers and my mouth
