  1. +20 accuracy passive bonus if the ranger attack the same target as the pet is meh? +20% damage bonus for 30+ seconds is meh? The class saw quite a few of its abilities/talents revamped this build. Even the pets now got stats (well most of them, the wolf still has all 10s). The animal companion bonus just need to improve each levels (especially gain +3 accuracy each level) which doesn't seem to be the case right now. My ranger is the highest damage dealer in my BB party and he is using a fine War bow. BB Rogue has more crits, but he's right after her in that stat...I bet if I made the ranger using an Orlan he would have more crits than she does though.
  2. I almost posted something similar, but today I saw the micro-stutters reported by Sensuki in the Crossing map while walking to the side to leave the area...and I've yet to see a game I can't play on ultra (beside Star Citizen). They happened only once when my characters were moving toward the exit. Saying that I think that endurance not regenerating is a much urgent bug to fix, my poor Priest stuck at 61 health (resting fix the issue but still).
  3. Party member aggroing on downed ranger pets is kind of weird. I had a very good demonstration just now, when everyone (but my ranger) turned around to go at the downed boar instead of of the Ranger that was right in their face. update: Ranger pets don't have all 10 in stats anymore. My lion has 5 Int, his AoE size is effectively reduced, lol.
  4. Not going by their skin color selection, they can even be blueish.
  5. Just don't walk on it with your Wizard. My BB Wizard did that last night (thank you pathfinding) and fell on his ass for the rest of the fight.
  6. The changes Josh was talking about a couple of days ago are not in v480. The BB was made from a build generated earlier in the week. Which means we won't see them until release.
  7. So, what? They sent out the beta build to have people check for bugs that don't exist anymore? Sounds... useful. Because they are still bugs to be found and a day 0 patch to be filled with fixes.
  8. Orchestra makes everything better, it is known.
  9. When an update is posted on Kickstarter, it send emails. Seems like KS have some problem sending emails.
  10. Why can't you use Arcane Veil? I'm starting to think that you are trying to make characters that don't use any defensive options win encounters, which shouldn't be possible (or dear god we would have even more "there is no strategy in this game" posts than we have now).
  11. Why wouldn't it be viable? Plenty of potions and spells to increase DR, deflection and CC things along with damaging spells to kill things with.
  12. Do we have a list of the things in Expert Mode that don't have a toggle in the options?
  13. Just look at how Josh is playing the game, he doesn't rage-quit when one of his character drop down to 0 Endurance in a fight. Min-maxers hates when a single of their character lose 20% of its health and they have to rest more often, that is all there is to it.
  14. Aren't they just "combat-only" but without the appropriate message displayed on the tooltip?
  15. But the game PROMOTES extreme min-maxing .... The rules set promote focusing on a role, not on min-maxing for it. +/-10% damage is not going to make a huge change in how a fight turns out. That your party members all get under 50% Endurance versus only 25% isn't going to be the end of the world either (funny enough there is enough under 50% proc to make that something you should wish for and I know you find those useless).
  16. This is very true. Pre-made characters are almost always poorly built in these games. I'll hopefully find some way to customize the companion builds up to my standards, without taking away their "spirit" and keeping them the same class of course. I think it's more that developers aren't making games for min-maxers...and I approve.
  17. They are going to be posted here once Balder and the team are done compiling them.
  18. Oh, Medreth learned Escape. I don't remember him doing that before. I faced off against Medreth and his pals on normal with 3 different MC (basic BB 5 people party): a Paladin, a Druid and a Chanter. Party AI seems to still have some issues despite feeling snappier (going after moving away target, retaliating, etc). I saw BB Figher and BB Rogue staying beside the downed boar instead of going after the Ranger that was attacking them. Note, the Ranger was the last enemy standing. I also think BB Priest kind of love to do pit stop if she engage enemies that do not engage her, but that would need to be reevaluated. The target was the fighter and it had 2 party members on it, but I didn't see a engagement arrow toward her. Chanter new in-combat chant UI icons feels a bit too big to me and the nerf to Thrice Avenged was nasty, I did 10 damage to a target with it (8+0+2, hit, miss, graze...there was only one target because everyone was dead before my Chanter had 3 pips to cast an Invocation). Spells (power/invocation/spells) still need a balance pass. Druid is still totally awesome (didn't Spiritshift, only cast a few spells and weapons auto-attacks). 188.8 damage against Medreth party and 0 damage received (according to personal stats). Destroyed the Cowled Fighter with a Pike (and BB Rogue's help). Paladin being able to have their aura up all the time is nice. I'm still a bit underwhelmed by Flame of Devotion, but it's mostly how it scale with weapons and grazing/crits. My Paladin only did 14.3 of damage using Flame of Devotion with a sword, it was a graze and most of the damage is Flame of Devotion but still felt like I wasted the ability. I love the new portraits, they are awesome. Male might be missing a few hoods though.
  19. *Downloading* Thanks Devs! I'll post comments in the 480 threads later. Might not be much because I'm not a critic like some others are.
  20. Was that ever mentioned as a feature?
  21. Veri gud :D Can't wait to see the beta folks discuss the new build. I dare to hope you'll be showcasing any new portraits and icons in your beta update post? Josh Sawyer posted new portraits on his Instagram actually! https://instagram.com/jesawyer1975/p/0IwsuZpxx2/ They look awesome!
  22. Mass Effect 1 Completionist achievements (that's its name) only require you to do half of the game side quests to unlock...
  23. You didn't compare it to holding a single weapon did you? Because having a single one-handed weapon equipped gives you an accuracy bonus.
  24. There is plenty of buff, class abilities, class talents to increase accuracy as well. It's all about how you build your characters.
  25. Larian is older than Obsidian. The first Divinity game released in 2002, but their first game as a studio was released in 1998 though. Obsidian was funded in 2003. Larian's problem in term of international brand popularity is that their publishers were idiots who believed only Germans and Russians played cRGPs. It's pass tense because they (ctv entertainment and dtp entertainment) filled for insolvency in the last few years (2010 and 2012).
