A popup comparing my currently equipped weapon to the vendors list without me having to buy it first would be nice too. -

With the limited number of camps you can carry at a time you might be shooting yourself in the foot. -
I have found a number of Morning Stars that do crushing/pierce damage you could probably do it yourself with the enchantment system.

No EXP from killing MOB?
santanzchild replied to gamelancer's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
During the KS the devs explicitly said they where designing it this way to give people more options then "slaughter everything just so you can get the most XP out of the world". They have balanced it nicely doing that. Now when I manage to finish a quest by deceiving or out smarting someone I still get the same XP as I would have had I ran in guns blazing and a fireball launching. It is a great option to have compared to other games where I am forced to take no prisoners just to make sure I get to level up enough. -
Stronghold Immersion
santanzchild replied to Elfwyn's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Everyone keeps assuming the taxes are from locals. That isn't stated any where but it is said to be the only passable route from defiance bay. So I would assume the taxes are on the merchant trains that would be moving goods through your lands. -
$298 well spent got exactly the game I wanted sans a few show stoppers but all will be fixed in a week or so. This was the first of over 100 projects I backed and it is by far my favorite!

If the issue is the same as with Wasteland 2, and as far as I've heard it seems to be, it's because you're running a 32bit Windows and can easily be resolved with a short command prompt command. Not a big deal really. And as someone else said, they are currently working on resolving that in a patch. I honestly don't know where all of the butthurt is coming from. Yes, the game has bugs. Can you play it, despite them? Yes, you can. PoE is, for all intents and purposes, an indie title and it works damn fine for something that was just released - can you point to a recent triple A title that's playable at this level upon release? No one is arguing that Obsidian had really buggy games in the past, but they've gotten progressively better over the years. Hell, forget about PoE - check out The Stick of Truth. It's a great title and I didn't encounter any bugs whatsoever, or at least none that would spoil my enjoyment of the game. A lot of you are acting like you're on a thread about Assassin's Creed Unity - get some perspective. I am getting the transition crash in the hold with 64bit so not sure where that came from. But that's separate from the issue being discussed here... Continue

PC Retail DRM?
santanzchild replied to DRM-FREE's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
The problem is most publishers will not let a DRM free game out the door it just makes it to easy to pirate and they look at that as money coming straight out of there pocket. It is a sad state for the industry and one that the market is finally pulling back from but it is still the current state of the industry. -
PC Retail DRM?
santanzchild replied to DRM-FREE's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Almost noone does DRM free anymore. That is why it was such a big perk for backers. I am sure you can get in on it when the expansion KS comes around if they go that route. -

santanzchild replied to Ladyjess's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
It could, but it's not. And frankly it would turn off a huge portion of the player base by bringing real world issues into a game based in an imaginary world. -

Yeah, what he said! I may have jumped the gun, being new to this moderator business. Tigranes is manifestly right in saying that there are valid points to be seen, and you guys have been making them. So, commence the debate, but no casting stones or rising up with pitchforks and fiery brands! And now your being racist against pitchforks!!!! How dare you it will take me all night to get him to stop crying... -

santanzchild replied to Mdalton31's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
It is unimportant... Seriously it is a nothing that if it gets added will be a good for you but in no way changes the game in a base way and there for is as unimportant as it is possible for something to be without import. -

OMFG its a game get your ridiculous politics out of it and stop looking for things to be offended about! Its bad enough that everything in real life has to be goverened by an overly sensitive PC world. Atleast let me have my friggen hobbies my god enough already.
