  1. If you're a storyfan for combatfans it's either BG2 or How/IWD2 My favourite is BG2 because the encounters and combat gameplay is awesome. I also really like IWD & HoW. Not so big on IWD2 because 3E in the IE engine sux BG1 combat is borderline click and forget though, there are a few things you can do tactically with movement but that's about it.
  2. http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/70483-435-that-item-description-bug-i-was-talking-about/?hl=%2Bitem+%2Bdescription ?
  3. TN accidentally edited out one of my reports hat_backer_munacra_arret - missing 3d model and incorrect icon
  4. Might be a bit redundant IBM Model M space bars do not wear out
  5. Where's that Roguey quote... "If you were disappointed with BioWare's Dragon Age Inquisition, boy is Josh Sawyer's Pillars of Eternity the game for you" Something like that anyway.
  6. It's a double-edged sword, because not being able to transition from combat means you can't run away at all ... which is not very fun. I agree about resting restrictions but I do not like the camping supplies system. I would have preferred resting locations only. That said, these two things have nothing to do whether combat is fun, or whether combat was fun in the Infinity Engine games - how about you go back and play it without exploiting it, and you might find that you actually enjoy yourself.
  7. This is a known issue for all males. It's been fixed for the next patch.
  8. Haha, so you admit that you cheesed the game (possibly because you were terrible at the combat without it) and robbed yourself of the fun. Two tweaks to Pillars of Eternity (rest anywhere and transition in combat - both have been modded in already in previous versions) and you'd be able to do exactly the same thing.
  9. None of the companions have "bad ass loot". They have unique loot, as in, it has a unique look and maybe one property or something. You can enchant their gear and use it yourself without issue.
  10. There is a lot of companion VO in the game files, so I'd say they have a fair bit of dialogue.
  11. The status icons of a character get "pressed in" and move down and right when you click a portrait in. Two columns of status icons already overlap the next portrait, even if/when that is fixed, this behavior would also likely cause them to clip into the portraits when portraits are selected Expected Result: status icons should not be 'pressed in' when portrait selected
  12. Don't know what game you were playing but that doesn't sound like high level BG2 combat to me.
  13. Issue - can't get +1 PER or CON from a Culture- RECOGNIZED BY QA Status icons get "pressed in" when portrait is selected
  14. Would be nice if you could get +1 CON and +1 PER from a different culture each. Currently only Might, Dex, Int and Res are covered.
  15. No companion is required. You can choose to recruit none of them I believe, and just use your own guys hired from Inns. You will miss out on their dialogue, individual quest line/story arc and some reactivity from the game world though. You can also recruit them and then just leave them at the stronghold I believe, so you can probably talk to them there while taking your custom guys on adventures.
  16. Yeah dunno about that. They said they finished up with icons a while ago and are now working on portraits I assume. Wouldn't expect to see too many more before release. I was thinking of making a thread that tallies all items that "need" a unique model/icon eventually. There's also more unique weapons now.
  17. Traps are slow to actually attack/hit the units that trigger them Can't stack retrieved traps with non-placed traps
  18. Thought I might join in Traps hit at a fair delay after units walk over them. In the Infinity Engine games they basically hit one frame after the unit walks over the trap ... here it's like 500msec or something like that. They should hit instantly IMO. Can't stack traps you pick up with traps you haven't yet placed Expected Result: both trap types should stack
  19. Rods do 2 more base damage than other implements. Hunting Bows do the same damage as implements but fire slower, and implements are best of damage type. Conclusion: 11-16 probably wouldn't be too bad base damage for implements, and Hunting Bows could use a bump. They've always been bad. War Bows are currently not great this build either (from being the best ranged weapon of v392).
  20. Forgot this one Fine Mail and Standard Mail have the same model, they used to have different ones IIRC.
  21. This doesn't happen normally, I probably did something to trigger it. When I figure out what it is I'll post it.
  22. Sound bug when moving items in the inventory Hunting Bow and Implement base damage inconsistency Inconsistent hotkeying of the slow and fast buttons - FIXED INTERNALLY
  23. If you want to know about Crafting and Enchanting, just PM me @Falkon_Swiftblade - been doing a lot of testing of it recently.
