They fixed one bug with it in their internal playthrough (the one where you can hit people with disengagement attacks from across the map), which was a really simple thing to fix (CanEngageEnemy just needed to check for isMoving) but they missed other issues with it. The fact that they have overlooked the functional errors with it is a bit disheartening, UI is not the problem with Engagement. I'm not sure why they seem to think that obtuse UI elements will solve all their problems. Seems to be a common fallback for them when they're having a mechanical or animation problem. So yes, that thread will be coming sometime soon I guess.

I appreciate your support on most matters, but I will not budge or back down from my opinion on Engagement and I will not be silent about it and I ask anyone else who also wants it removed to add your voice to mine. Being silent about it is not going to produce results.
  6. I've modded it out Hormalakh and it feels a bit more like playing an Infinity Engine game. Unfortunately there's a vocal miniority on the boards at this present time that are NWN2 combat fanboys more than they are IE fanboys and there's a lot of storyfags that just don't care. But keep it up, it's up to us IE die hards to try and drown out their pathetic little voices. It's not okay, and do you really think that I am going to live with it ? Feel free to eat the bowl of turd handed to you and relunctantly ask for seconds, I'm ordering something else.

Replies to me like that take up about 80-85% of your post content this month. That's real constructive of you there bro.

  14. **** off it's bad design, it's exactly how it was in the IE games - get used to it. The only bad thing about it is that right click doesn't auto vector like left click does, so you have to rotate further each time. That should be fixed. Going by the recent PE stream, the right click always the same is actually by design (which is a really bad decision).

  16. I don't know if you guys have noticed but NONE of the IE die hards are satisfied with the game. It's not just me, I am the loudest of us though. You can claim subjectivity all you like Gairnulf but the fact remains that many things are quite off the mark.
  17. That's hogwash man, Josh puts a large emphasis on "feels" in his talk - feel of the systems, feel of the art, etc etc - the Infinity Engine feels.
