  1. We could, however, apply crowd pressure to Sega to release the IP from their filthy hands (assuming Obsidian is still at least somehow interested in it). *goes to prepare torches and pitchforks*
  2. Yay, classes! I bet I'll play the first sub-part the story with every class before I finally decide what to choose...for the first playthrough. Well, more fun for me. Also congratulations on further cooperation with inXile (PE tech licensed to Torment), cooperation of these two studios make me incredibly warm and fuzzy with the hope that the PC/video games industry isn't lost after all.
  3. I think skepticism is a natural response of anyone who has been watching what's going on with the games industry in the last years...
  4. Obligatory: Now I'll be nervous whether the game will be appealing to me... As in it could be a console-only title! Oh, the stress >.<
  5. I... don't think Square Enix is one of the companies that would care what its customers have to say. Not to mention non-Japanese customers >.>
  6. Well, of course I like to take full control in harder battles when I need the companions do something specific. But strange that you mention NWN2, you could do whatever you wanted with the companions there and they could do reasonably well on their own. Oh well, I guess we'll see in some future update.
  7. Well yes, it becomes a strategy combat and all that, but I prefer to have the feeling that I have someone to help me, not just some other goon that I take full control off. But I guess our views aren't very compatible, heh. NWN2 would be the closest, it seems. I wondered why that didn't come up in my searches, then I noticed "compagnions"...yeah... Thanks for sharing though. Not the best news for me, I think ^^
  8. Yeah, I'm of the same opinion, actually. Dragon Age Origins' (no idea about the later games) AI was whichever the player him-/herself made it and I didn't really like that. Plus it was limited by the tactics skill (I think) and level, which I find pretty dumb, honestly... Though as for NWN2, I got the feeling that the "cast the weakest spells/abilities" was still a bit too powerful, heh. Still though, I didn't need to switch to all the characters and tell them what to do, which was very nice.
  9. Well I meant more of how are they going to be self-sufficient, if at all. As in, are they going to be able to use abilities? Maybe even without me telling them which use, only how hard should they hit? (like NWN2 had it)...etc.
  10. As someone who played both Dragon Age and Neverwinter Nights 2 90% of the time for the main character, I have to ask - what's the companion / henchmen / partymembers AI going to be like? (if it was answered in some update, I humbly apologize and politely ask for linky).
  11. *lose But I think that having final product specifications is a good thing. Otherwise we could end up with adding more and more stuff infinitely
  12. I have a question too. The name in "consumer information" is what is going to be used in credits, etc, right? And the real important name is just the one in the shipping details, yes? Edit: Also anything but the first step seems to forget the international shipping $15 payment and "place order" is grayed out even though it says "status OK" and I can't change it... I may have missed something while selecting the international shipping :<
  13. Backer portal is nice, but I'm much more interested in the gameplay trailer. It looks pretty good as it is, but I'm curious, how far is that in development, especially when it comes to spell effects? I don't mean to sound like some ungrateful brat (which I am), but considering how great everything else looks, I think the spell need more love Then again, I would be more than OK with sprites if the storytelling stays on Obsidian's top of the top level.
  14. I know I'm not the OP, but since I still have frame issues, too...: 2x4GB DDR3, Phenom II x4 970 3.5GHz, AMD 5770, some 1TB 7200 RPM hard drive. 2013/08/30 GPU drivers, Windows 7 x64 SP1 for OS. Game doesn't run at all without being in compatibility mode (for Windows XP SP2). Getting a little on the old side, but should be way more than sufficient for silly Neverwinter Nights 1, I actually have a very similar setup, might be something related to AMD/ATI GPUs. And my laptop is A10-4600 with HD7730M or some potato like that running on W7. But no, no other apps, applications or games give me that kind of massive framedrops, heh. Might as well toy with the settings already.
  15. That could be a thing, I'll check it out. Though I remember issues with that ever since... Then again, first rig wasn't all that powerful to begin with, so the FPS issues might be purely performance related. Oh well. I'll check out the config, thanks for the suggestion. Yes, this is exactly the answer what I was looking for. Someone expressing their opinion as a dogma and indirectly insulting everyone who doesn't agree with said opinion. And of course the cancer inducing humor. Bravo, sir, I applaud you.
  16. I've started playing the original NWN (again) and I am (again) being tortured by spoiling of sadistic joy of killing someone with the Magic Missile spell or Issac's Storm. The framerate drops from like 716879314 to 0.5 the moment the spells are cast or the missiles hit. I've had the same issue on every computer I've ever had :< . Search results yield nothing, please save me from the torture of not thoroughly enjoying twisted joy of murdering creatures with a volley of arcane projectiles.
  17. I don't see how a delay can be bad thing (unless they started to work on microtransactions or some other crap). If the game wasn't ready for release, it's only logical to delay it.
  18. So I just saw the video on combat. Well, that's another dead (or more precisely, completely mutated) series to me then.
  19. Yeah, that's why I'll nag about it whenever I can. This and "sexy warrioress armor", heh.
  20. I for one really enjoyed FNV and I don't care whether I kill enemies by clicking on them with a pointer of with a crosshair. I'm in for the story and atmosphere. As for Bethesda and Fallout 4, I'm skeptical.
  21. I have to ask whoever had that idea to model most women in DS3 with high heels to reconsider their future designs (unless this post is followed by outrage of high-heels defenders). Thank you <3
  22. What are the bug-free gamebryo games? Other than Rocksmith, which isn't exactly difficult to make bug-free Also Fallout/TES isn't sandbox, it's open-world.
  23. Reminds me of the drawings for Alpha Protocol.
