How is that possible on NWN2? Unless you've somehow built amazingly inept characters by coincidence... City Watch quests? Thieves warehouse/Fihelis estate with the 50 million amazing invisible thieves?
-
Haven't started any of them yet, but I have copies of Super Mario Galaxy 2, Muramasa: The Demon Blade and Chrono Trigger DS so I'll probably be starting those up soon.

In my case, it's about having another piece of software on my PC that is fond of screwing with me. "This game is busy. Please try again later." messages that pop up on a regular basis and refuse to let me start my games when I want to play. Steam itself is also fond of crashing on every system I've ever had for some stupid reason that I've yet to be able to figure out and if Thorton comes in here and makes some crack about "The only common factor being me" I'm going to have to punch him. Yes, part of it is that I don't like someone else having control over my programs. There are enough companies out there that already have their claws in my computer and if I can avoid it, I'd rather not let another one in more than I have to. There is more, but Zoraptor really covered most complaints so I'll leave it at that. Steam isn't a deal killer by itself, but it is a great big check in the "Do not want" column and does reduce the value that I am willing to pay for the product.

Eldoth was one of the 4 that I missed. I remembered the portrait he used and a vague character concept, but not the name. Also missed Alora, but I did remember Skie. I think Safana was the third and Faldorn was the fourth miss for me. Remember Faldorn was a shadow druid and showed up in BG2, but like Eldoth, couldn't remember the name. Didn't try boo, but when trying to get the correct spelling of Kagain, it did take Kagan.

I did pretty well on that one. Managed 21/25. Two I missed completely, two I could remember the character, but not the name.
-
I missed Mazzy and Haer'dalis, never use them either. I was running through all the quest locations in my head trying to remember the characters. Didn't even think about the planar prison and missed picking up Mazzy in the Shadow Temple.

Depends on the game. There are very few indie games that I've bought and most of them have disc version.

I do use all my fingers...1 typing class and 1 Mavis software program years & years ago gave me that much. However, that's only with the letter/punctuation keys and surrounding function keys. The 1-2-3 etc. number keys above, I hunt and peck. I don't use them much so no habitual training. heh I've taken what amounted to a typing class in high school and had some typing stuff in elementary but none of it stuck. I can type with every finger if I think about it, but most of the time I don't bother and I'm just as fast. With enough practice I could probably get faster if I used all my fingers, but that seems like too much work. I'm the same with the numbers/symbols. Not enough use.

Absolutely. I don't even buy Valve games on Steam. I still buy them retail.

I think better in this instance is a matter of priorities. As much as I don't like Steam, this is a positive for some people. Pirates are getting a different package.

I only managed about 288 characters and 49 words. I can't do those weird random word things. My brain just doesn't function in that manner. Give me a proper sentence to type out and I'm sure I can get going much faster than I did on that test. My typing style sounds like yours, but with my own little quirks. I don't even use all my fingers. Almost all my typing is done with my index and middle fingers. Pinky never get's used and the ring finger really is only used to hit things like A, but not Q and backspace/enter.
-
Hah! You only managed 3 people last time around! You're getting too slow.

You're right, but I wasn't so much speaking about PC's as I was about NPC companions.

What if I don't like full VO because it tends to lead to characters being conspicuously silent when something comes up that they would have an opinion on and makes for crappy DLC where no one speaks because the developers are too cheap to shell out for more VO?

There was nothing random about it. You were press ganged into joining after someone on my team left. Only last night, there have been more times in the past month that we've been teamed together than in the previous 3... I'll give you that, but only because I can't remember beyond the last session except for the big moments. Like the double takedown at the sewer in the third level of Parish. You mean when I charged somebody to right where Brue had somebody else in his smoker? Still, Tank pwns Boomer was the funniest thing I've seen in a while. No, I mean when Bruenar was caught by a smoker and I was hit by a jockey just as the other two team members jumped down into the tunnel. Tank pwns Boomer was just amazing timing.

Nope. I had 80% of that post typed up before the game actually. Had to alt tab back in when I heard you guys starting. Besides, Bruenar beat me on points way too often. The stupid random team selector needs to go back to putting us on opposite teams so I can continually kill him again.

I'm working through Medieval 2: Total War right now. Just have a patched vanilla game. Running as England. I'm being really slow. It's getting close to 1300 and I just finished off the French. Apparently maintaining a siege is considered a hostile act by the Pope so I've been excommunicated for my trouble. Only city that is really worried about it is Dijon which is sitting at 50% loyalty. Obviously I should have massacred the bastards instead of looting them a few years back. That would teach the ungrateful bastards. I also have the Scottish that are about to be wiped out on this turn as well. They were given a reprieve when the French attacked my colonies on the mainland. The Spanish declared war on me a couple turns ago and the Danish are a huge pain in my ass with all their crappy fleets blockading my ports so one of them is going to have to die next. Also my army apparently outclasses the mongol hordes according to the faction rankings.

Quick google search says it's hit or miss. Some people have almost no issues, others have more. I have a retail box copy floating around here somewhere that I could test on Win7 x64 if you want.

Jokinen had a horrible season, but Tanguay had a pretty decent season. It was below his usual production, but 58 points is hardly a bad season. Jokinen though is just, I dunno what they were thinking bringing him back.

Lies! Interplay forums were still functioning when these boards opened!

Complete Introversion pack for $5?! Can you say sold? Overlord complete pack for $4.50? I'm almost tempted just to have a steam copy.
-
It's more common than you think. It happened to multiple titles during the christmas sale I believe. Again, it doesn't take them very long to get the issue resolved though.
