Personally, I don't think mainstream games are evolving enough. Innovations in games are few and far between, and few things can hold surprise and a sense of wonder like they did before when everything was knew Also, speaking for myself, all the general hailing of every new, high profile game as the second coming of Christ is leaving me more and more jaded with the industry. As an example, despite how much I enjoyed MotB, I don't feel there really is much of a change in terms of gameplay between it and, say BG1. and that's ten years of RPG development. Also, even where there is some sort of change in design philosophy, it isn't change in a direction I'd like tosee. It's all about wider appeal, focus groups, and profiting. For example, the way party NPC development has been handled in Bioware games starting with NWN1 seems to me like the worst possible way to integrate the characters into the narrative. It made everything about the characters mechanical and pointless, and reduced empathy to a minimum. And this from a company that professes to make games that are centrally about narrative.

I seem to recall that at the time of XP's release, while it ran like ass on lower spec systems, it actually improved performance on higher end systems compared to Windows 98 by a nice margin. Also, it was a lot more stable than Win98 SE. Vista, however, to the best of my knowledge offers no improvement in performance and is no more stable than XP. This makes it kind of pointless to me, as I'm not going to fork over 400

I wonder if that Syriana thing means they've ready See No Evil. It would be awesome if McSneaker's relationship with the CIA took some things from that book.

I really, really want to see exactly how the action works. Release some sort of video the gameplay! I also notice that the clothing changes between screenshots. Can the player choose what to wear? Finally, the enemy looks a bit odd in this screenshot. It's the arm, mostly. the proportions seems off, and the hand is placed strangely. I see McSneakers' watch isn't placed weirdly like in that earlier screenie, though.

You can buy it new from a store or, if you already own the original, you can download a patch.

I'd recommend you don't start playing The Witcher just yet. An enhanced edition is coming next month, which will improve the game in many departments. INFO

Actually, I finally found a way. It isn't very practical, though. You have to hold ctrl+shift+mouse button and drag the mouse vertically to zoom in and out.
