  1. From what I've played of the demo, I have a hard time figuring out why someone who liked FEAR wouldn't like FEAR 2. It seems like the same game with upgraded graphics and toned down challenge level. It seems to get the same things right and the same things wrong as the first one.
  2. Rainbow Six used to be awesome when it had a brain.
  3. Or you can ask someone who already knows. Through the Internet, even! Anyway, all you have to do to upgrade a computer is check which motherboard you own, go to the mobo's company site, check which kind of processors, graphics cards and RAM it supports, and get the required components. And if you are not sure you can ask someone. Really, computer hardware savvy aren't exactly in short supply these days. Someone may not know much about the subject, but I'm sure everyone knows one or two people who do have the necessary knowledge.
  4. Yeah you are bro. OK sis, i will be your bro then. And no one is saying the PC is not more powerful than a console, I am for example saying that it is not an option for average gamer customer because it is still 200USD more expensive than Xbox 360... try to read whole my posts not only few paragraphs... Who doesn't already own a PC these days? Upgrading an office PC to run games should be cheaper than buying an Xbox 360.

  6. He is the island.
  7. It's Hurley.
  8. The dungeons in Morrowind are horrible, and the NPCs are completely and utterly lifeless. Also, the animations are atrocious.
  9. Heavenly Sword takes 50Gigs? There's no possible way a 7 hour long game requires that much space, unless it was developed by idiots, so I call shenanigans. Edit: Ah, Heavenly Sword is actually less than 18 gigs. Still seems too big to me, though.
  10. I haven't played it, but it's just for lack of monies.
  11. Clearly, "huge disaster" was a poor choice of words. The important bit in my statement was "compared to Morrowind and Daggerfall". If you make a list of what was good, or interesting about Morrowind and Daggerfall, you'll see that pretty much what was good about those games was deliberately excised from the design in Obilvion, while a lot that was crap about them was kept or exacerbated. They also added new features that failed to improve upon the original design in any way, and in fact made the game worse. All this sounds a lot like a disaster in game design to me.
  12. I'm not talking about sales or anything like that. I'm talking about basic design.
  13. I seem to recall those Elder Scrolls spinoffs being pretty awful. And Arena wasn't very good either. As for Oblivion, compared to Morrowind and Daggerfall, it was a huge disaster.
  14. Daniel Faraday. He is the scientist. The never aging guy is Alpert.
  15. See? DRM is good for something.
  16. Also, who is Faraday's dad? I really hope Desmond manages to save Charlotte.
  17. I'm enjoying the new season a lot.

    Who am I?

    You are an Alzheimer patient?
  19. Hopefully, when digital sales make ordinary retailers superfluous, game prices will go down appropriately.
  20. Yeah, but the PC is an open platform while what EA is talking about here is a console, which is a closed system.
  21. Vicky Christina Barcelona. A bit uneven in its script's pacing, but the whole film is just so goddamn sexy, and I'm not just talking about the lead players being hawt. I'm talking about how they're all so incredibly sensuous, from Penelope Cruz's paranoid craziness to Rebecca Hall's sensible, grounded maturity. It actually made sense that Bardem gets to have sex with both Cruz and Johansson at the same time. He really looks and talks and acts like someone capable of pulling it off.
  22. Oliver Reed, a real life awesome dude. Check out the sections on his alcoholism and his death.
  23. The Light Cycles don't turn only at 90
  24. The Sims is like a masterclass in making a hardcore PC game appeal to the masses.
  25. Lee Van Cleef
