  1. You think he was wearing a bulletproof vest or somehow the bullet didn't hit a vital part? What the bullet hit, exactly I don't know, but I'm sure that the Losties will be involved in saving his life. Jack, for example, would be a good bet at doing the saving. Ix-nay on the paradox. Hay.
  2. And there was much rejoicing.
  3. He's not, in any way, dead.
  4. Ben isn't dead because, well, he's always been alive. I actually thought they wouldn't have Sayid pretend-kill Ben because one, it was predictable, and two it would force them to have Sayid shoot Ben in a way that seems lethal but actually, isn't. If Sayid was such a cold blooded killer with a deep seated hatred towards Ben, he would have shot Ben in the face, or something.
  5. And why's that?
  6. My reward for doing what the game told me to do. An arthouse game.
  7. I thought the first game was one really, really cool gimmick and not much else other than embarrassing writing and a bunch of Finnish guys populating the streets of NY. It only barely held my interest until the end of the game, so the third game in the series is really kind of pointless, to me.
  8. What? Only real men use CRTs. Much better for budget gaming
  9. I remembered that immediately, because the character's name in KOTOR stuck with me, mostly due to the fact that sarna means scabies in Portuguese.
  10. Onion is always awesome: Teaching kids to survive the apocalypse.
  11. I thought this was a bit disappointing after the last few episodes. Pandering to generic magical mysticism instead of carrying on with the racial and religious comment on what it means to be human. They were more interested in cleanly and smugly concluding all the plotlines than in carrying the show's themes to a proper conclusion.
  12. I saw this coming several seasons back.

    Maths

Discussing the superficial semantics of mathematics is really missing the point. It's discussing an arbitrary convention. It's discussing the signifier, while thinking you're discussing the signified.
  14. Yes, the official forums are a bit useless, really. I actually found out about this through a thread on TWCenter.
  15. Sad, pathetic thing about Tom Chick's review on Crispy Gamer: Every time someone posts a link to it in CA's official forums it gets deleted. Furthermore, the board's administrator came out and said the review was nothing more than a rant and almost devoid of any information about the game.
  16. Next, they'll be calling burgers, bouergu
  17. Sissies, the lot of you.
  18. Tom Chick has always been a proper reviewer.
  19. Yeah, it's not a real game. I just wanted to spread the awesomeness of The Video Game Name Generator Magical Landmine Pimps Yeah, this is a spam thread by a mod. Enjoy it, before I delete it.
  20. The tactical FPS genre really deserves mroe love, but with SWAT gone and Rainbow 6 having been kicked in the head by the marketing department, the genre seems to be, for all intents, dead.
  21. (on SWAT 4) "A predecessor to the Rainbow Six series." Wat? Edit: After I saw some of his earlier reviews, I remembered him. While a lot of his criticisms of FFVIII are more than valid, the generic criticism (which everyone makes) that it is boring and grindtastic is, not only wrong, but really stupid if you're going to defend any FF game in opposition to VIII. If you actually use your brain when playing, FFVIII eventually becomes the Final Fantasy game with less grind ever. The bit about the dog's name was awesome, though.
  22. So incredibly awesome.
  23. The AI is completely incapable of launching invasions over sea. Not only is this massive and literally game breaking as far as the campaign is concerned, but also, the exact same bug was in the original release of Medieval 2. It's like they either didn't do any QA, at all, or they just didn't care about it. Either way, it's bloody unnerving and the AI is retarded enough without this bug. In fact the AI is like one giant bug. Also, it turns out the battle map no longer reflects the battle's location in the campaign map, so no more using the terrain to gain an advantage over the AI, for example. Not a bug, as such, but the removal of what was a fundamental feature in previous iterations of the game.
  24. Why is it that CA always releases its games with the same forking game breaking bugs? And why don't reviewers ever notice these bugs?
