Alan, can you give us any hints to how combat will be, big picture wise? Wave based combat? I'm guessing no on this since it was a major complaint. Better tactical cam? I don't know why Bioware felt they needed to change DAO's camera. It was perfect IMHO. DA2's felt restrictive and I could never get it to position just the way I wanted. Friendly Fire? Will skill trees still be restricted to certain classes? Why can't I make a dual wield, heavily armored warrior? Enemy and player party skill parity? Probably too early to get answers, but these are the things I'm curious about

I don't watch a lot of anime, but I do really enjoy Hajime No Ippo. Great blend of sport action, comedy and drama.

Yup, high wisdom, intelligence and charisma is the way to go. You'll get more options on dealing with NPCs and objects and it will give you the most insight on The Nameless One and his companions. You are indeed a lucky bugger. Tell us how it goes.

Everything I've heard about DA3 seems pretty promising. Of course it remains to be seen how these all pan out but I'm keeping optimistic. You can only play human, but it will be more customizable than DA:O. It sounds like your character will be able to choose from a variety of backgrounds which is good. Environments will not be reused and there will be large maps to explore. Save games will be able to be imported. I think they did a good job with this in ME3 concerning the fates your former party members could meet so as long as it continues along those lines I'll be satisfied. The main theme is saving the world from itself and that sounds pretty interesting. If they change up the combat so its more tactical, better paced and better animated I think it'll be good.

I take this post to point out that self deprecation and ennui are just narcissism under the disguise of deepness. Remember: "Non pascentur in troglodyte" What does the last sentence mean?

@BruceVC: I think the modern take is more influenced by Confucianism than Buddhism though I am sure there are some elements from Buddhism. Its all very low-key in my family and its more a time for my grandfather to show us pictures of his parents and grandparents and talk about them. Then we serve their spirits food and drink on a specially prepared table and bow to our hands and knees. Then we eat a lot. Denmark it is then! I'll just find my way to that bar and start shouting Rosbjerg! Hopefully he'll actually be there and won't ignore me.

I'm in Korea so I had to attend an ancestor worship ceremony on the morning of 1/1/2013. It usually takes place during Chinese New Year, but my parents wanted to do it on the 1st because my sister and I were both in the country. I had a pleasant night catching up with all my cousins who are all of drinking age now, so we had a few drinks, played a few games and acted cute for my grandparents who were staying over. It was good seeing all the family again. This year end I have to fly out to Sweden and hang out with Rosbjerg. My last girlfriend was an Asian but went to school in Sweden before she moved to the US. I was always impressed with how pretty her friends from Sweden were. No, me ogling her friends wasn't the reason we broke up.

Come now Hurlshot you are being a little disingenuous when you imply you don't have any activities that are considered dangerous? What about PC gaming and the stress factor that comes with that, I'm sure you can understand insurance companies wanting to increase your premiums. You do realize how much a broken fingernail caused by slamming hard on that keyboard can harm your overall health? I enjoy your posts way too much.

Why are you feeling depressed Trashman? Is the anime the cause or did something happen, prompting you to watch a depressing anime and become more depressed? Hope you're feeling better. It's the year of the snake! Go eat some eel. It'll give you energy.

It's DA3: Inquisition I believe.

Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy - Ch26 (Mae'Var)

I knew that Thrall demon would kill me. I actually breathed a sigh of relief when I got mazed. At least then I couldn't die. Did you pick up Pixie Prick+3. I should be a bit more helpful with that. I vote for Umar Hills. Less Beholders, Adamantium Golems and demons. -

Damnit, just +1 daggers? Aren't there demons in the place? Looks like I'm the new dead weight. -

Yes! I'm in. Surprisingly I'm not dead yet. I don't know how you knew but I indeed have played Kotor around nine times. Sad really.... Keep me alive till the Underdark and I'll become an awesome ranged kensai with Firetooth +3! In the meantime I'll deal deadly damage with poisoned throwing daggers! From the back! -
I got: Borderlands 2 to play with some friends. Mark of the Ninja The Walking Dead Deponia because it looked awesome I think that's it. I'm actually happiest with the D&D pack I got from GoG for $20.

I hope Pidesco has a long adventuring life. I like it when he pid-ups. Makes me chuckle. -
Very nice. I always liked working with wood myself, though my experience is limited to making simple bookshelves. I'm curious how he learned his craft. Was it mostly self-taught or learned from another master? I would like to learn some woodworking as well.

Sorry to hear about family problems, especially during the holidays. Being a single guy with no kids (Phew!) I don't feel qualified to give any kind of family advice (of course I will anyway though), but from the letter it does seem that your father took offense to something that isn't that big of a deal. As Tigs said though a lot of things look petty from the outside but if those are the two stories he chose to write about in a serious letter to his son, it probably is more of a personality clash and there are deeper underlying issues. And that's totally understandable since everyone has people they don't get along with, but the problem is that you guys are family now. I would say to stand by your wife. Let her know you're in her corner. It's pretty clear you love her and get along with her. I wouldn't compromise the family you and your wife have created in order to maintain a strained relationship with your existing family, who it seems you by yourself have strained relations with. Please correct me if I'm wrong on that part. Let your parents and siblings know that you still love them and maintain communications but show them that you're happy as well, with a loving wife and two cool kids. Let them come to you. Also convert VHS tapes of wife's showgirl days into digital format and upload please.

Thanks for the tip Spider. That is an awesome deal. I still have all the original CDs, but this is too good to pass up!

That was an epic troll battle. Good job coming out of that with only one death. TrueNeutral's transformation was the stuff of legend. -

Don't worry Deraldin. I'm sure with SCS, the deaths will come swiftly. DeArnise sounds good. Flail of Ages and that longbow will come in handy. Will we ever see a shapeshift occur? The suspense!
