  1. This is not technically a pre-order as: 1) we pay now, not when the game ships; 2) we pay more than we get as rewards.
  2. I think it is OK to use Paypal after the end of the Kickstarter campaign, but it seems reasonable to keep the total limits of rewards. There is a maximum of 200 allowed NPC rewards (not counting 10 000 pledges) and it should stay that way. It is just a matter of balance between ordinary and special NPCs. Of course, if developers see that they can raise this limit without hurting the game there is no such problem.
  3. DS 3 looks much better than the ugliness of Panzar. It still doesn't matter in the case of P:E as it'll have pre-rendered 3D (as is shown on the first screenshot).
  4. There is no printed word so there are no publishers On a serious note, an absence of the printed word gives more power to the Chanters. "The history is made by story-tellers" and so on.
  5. Ok, what about "1000 members of Obsidian Order = +1 level to the Endless Paths"?

  7. Wonderful screenshot! And... and... this is so cruel of you! I can't help but to try and read the text about races
  8. I've raised my pledge Olauron, Arcane Wellspring of the Obsidian Order
  9. Obsidian is going to open its own store. I think this deserves its own topic. Here are comments from Kickstarter page: I'm really glad they are working on their own trading place. Sometimes it is hard to find Obsidian games - especially box version. It is even harder to find a site providing delivery without country restrictions.
  10. Yes. Say "swift-footed Achilles" to the spirit world three times and everyone is hasted. ... and can be killed by a mere arrow in the knee heel. How cunning!
  11. SteamWorks is just an API, it is not a service of distribution. Free API does not automatically mean free service.
  12. What about this: They are teasing us with companion concept art. Yes, it is not much, but they are very early in the development.
  13. It is not about the numbers of people, it is about the logic behind what is being done. On one hand they are saying making an Addon for the Xpac might be awkward considering all KS funds do to the main game while at the same time saying all $165+ tiers get the Xpac free. What you are saying by doing that is that the reward for pledging 165+ is a free Xpac, so essentially you have paid for it. Just as if you had paid for an Addon. "It is reward" not equal to "you have paid for it". Getting it as an addon is almost equal to paying for it. The logic is fine.
  14. Aloth. A mage with a rapier. A mage with a key symbol on his chest. A key with two big circles that remind me of Obsidian Order Good update. I just hope there will be no Kickstarter campaign for the expansion as I will be really tempted to get a box version.
  15. There is no sense in comparing Adventurer's Hall with IWD party. Just look at this: You will not be able to create custom party from the very beginning. You will get this option later. This option will be balanced with the companions. I doubt we will get an ability to create aditional 5 party members instead of only one discovered companion. The pace will remain approximately even.
  16. I like how the wizard in this game has an ability of spontaneous casting just as a sorcerer in D&D3.x. I mean that there is no need to select how many times you are going to use fireball in the future, you can just put it in a grimoire and use it up to locking the whole level. I adore sorcerers of D&D3.x so these are really good news to me.
  17. Memorial stone is... intriguing. But I should say that hardcover artbook was more tempting. I like this spellcasting mechanics, both level-based cooldowns and switchable grimoires. It is interesting. As for a pet... Well, I would like small ouroboros. And I would like to equip this pet as a belt
  18. Well, there is something in the update #15: I'm waiting for update #16 with full-size Aloth!
  19. Amazing update! I adore the choirs. There is something that resonates with the depths of mind.
  20. I would like to remind some words of Tim Cain: I would not want a goal too far from current and estimated funds (like $4-5 mil). It is better to set rather far but reasonable goal of $3 mil. Having said that, a good complex stretch goal to me would be something like: - George Ziets joining the project AND - Class-specific strongholds (or race-specific) AND - italian/polish/russian translation AND - making-of documentary (digital or on discs), look at LotR EE.
  21. Nice art. There is something familiar in her face and in her eyes. Meredith, you? Ok, I'm kidding. A little bit. Dwarven ranger is drawn in another style. I would like portraits like dwarven ranger. But I would like UI paperdoll like Cadegund and Edair.
