[Merged] PROTIP: Replace the "Player House" stretch goal with multi-language support
Olauron Mor-Galad replied to Infinitron's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)The player house was promised as a stretch goal. Some backers have given money for this feature. Removing or replacing it would stink of false advertisement. I am sure Obsidian will never fulfill such request. Asking for localization as future stretch goal is another thing.

Base Goal Achieved! Class Speculation!
Olauron Mor-Galad replied to NateOwns's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I will be glad to see something like D&D3.5 Sorcerer - a charismatic inner strength based magic-user. On the other hand I know almost nothing about the new setting and I am not sure that such class will fit it.

(4) What do the words mean?
Accepted and the Aes Sedai wear the same looking Great Serpent ring. On the other hand, this is not a rare symbol.

George Ziets leaving Obsidian (again) (Layoffs related?)
This is really sad.

Obsidian is working on project for leading animation franchise
I don't think it is wise to announce an RPG near the release date of Skyrim. Late november/early december is much safer.

Chris Avellone interview at Gamestar.ru
Strange. I'm happy Obsidian is not going to develop MMO though.

Olauron's Dungeon Siege III fan site
For a long time even wikia pages were empty, so I decided to put some effort in creating a site covering Dungeon Siege III. I am really glad to see a whole subsite on GameBanshee but for now there is no "Lore" section. For those of you who are interested in Dungeon Siege III lore and more I present my site, Lion Yawn Inn, Dungeon Siege III subsite. There is no walkthrough but you can find a list of missions and objectives. Hope you will enjoy it

Reviews
Two different magazines reported this though. Problem with the review code? Not every piece is unique, but there are a lot of variations. Could be an issue, I'll look into it. It was stated in the article on www.gametech.ru that only rare "gold" armor changes character appearance. This is really strange as even in the first gameplay trailer we saw the opposite. It is quite natural that there are some pieces with identical models, but still there is a misunderstanding. Would you be so kind to clarify, what kind of armor changes the appearance of a character: only unique armor with fixed parameters (in fixed location) or conventional armor with random parameters (in random locations) as well?

Dungeon Siege III Art
Awesome art. Archon is really beautiful!

Steam version
There is huge problem with Steam when it enforces local restrictions. For instance, I have F:NV, but I just can't buy Dead Money. And this is a problem even for those who have bought EU-version of F:NV as there is an IP-check. I really hope that I will be able to install and play the uk-version of DS III without such restrictions.

no XP on local co-op?
Surely not at every point in the game. From what I've read the early missions entail 'unlocking' i.e. rescuing the 3 unselected characters i.e. if Lucas you need to rescue Angel, Gun Girl & the Alchemist (okay nicknames may not be accurate) before they can join your party. In Co-Op people play as your allies, which you won't have to begin with. That means no Co-Op until you're partway through the game right? It is said that your friend can play any of the other 3 characters, even if they are locked for you (as a host player). Let me quote Co-optimus:

New screenshots
These screens are very beautiful. Anjali in the elemental form looks great!

Is this for real?
- Is this for real?
- Is this for real?
I would like to remind of their "drop in/drop out" system. You come to your friend, take a second gamepad and - voil - Is this for real?
