Yeah. It actually does.

That Global spatula is sick! OT: I went to Williams Sonoma and Sur La Table but couldn't find the perfect wooden spoon. My mom has a good one she found in Chinatown years ago but haven't seen anything like it since.

Just to make some corrections: Petrovic, Kukoc, and Radja were Croats and Divac a Serb, and it was the Croatian flag that Divac took away. Both those Yugoslavian and Lithuanian teams were pretty good with some serious talent. Unfortunately, we only saw a shell of Sabonis by the time he came into the NBA. Before injuries got the better of him, he was the equal of Hakeem, Ewing, and Robinson. Marciulionis was fearless on the court and off. A pathfinder for Eastern Bloc players to come across and prove to the world that they can ball with Americans. Petrovic though, he was so fun to watch. Best European player with just enough Pistol Pete without being over the top reckless. Tragic that he had that accident before he reached his prime.

Say what you want about Rodman and his antics, but the guy comes to play every night and puts in 100% effort every time. Always loved to watch him play. .... Anyone else see "Once Brothers" or "The Other Dream Team?" They deal with the break up of Yugoslavia and the fall of the Soviet Union from the from the basketball perspectives of Vlade Divac and the Lithuanian national team respectively. Name drops: Drazen Petrovic, Toni Kukoc, Dino Radja, Vlade Divac, Arvidas Sabonis, and Sarunas Marciulionis. Good stuff.

It's essentially inexcusable to have game breaking crashes for closed systems like consoles. All games have to clear testing by the developer, publisher, and Microsoft/Sony/Nintendo certifications. All hard and soft crashes have to be fixed before passing. It's extremely rare that I come across crashes on consoles and never from any Obsidian games. That being said, CTD's and other bugs are essentially the price of doing business as a PC gamer. Too many hardware and software variables to ensure stability across the full spectrum. From that article I linked earlier, Obsidian has changed their bug squashing practices and are using a dedicated bug tracking database system which is more inline with what larger publishers are using for their QA departments. This is hopeful, as we'll see a more systematic approach to bug tracking and fixing. -As opposed to what I'm guessing was more of an ad-hoc internal approach. This way, producers can more easily categorize, prioritize, and assign bugs to appropriate personnel as they are found. What I am wondering though is...will they be hiring an internal QA staff towards during production? Or will they farm it out to third party?

Good to see Lincecum have a great outing like that. But...148 pitches??? He doesn't have the most robust frame to begin with....hope his arm doesn't fall off. Then again he is the "Freak."

Interesting concept. But I generally don't like the Bethesda sourced engines very much either.

Mutually dumb financial move by both parties. Sorta almost cancels each other out.

How does this compare to the PC release? PC is better. Graphics aren't as crisp on the iPad. But that being said, it's a really good port. Because of the turn based nature, controls and practical UI aren't a major concern. It's the same game, just optimized for the iPad touch controls.

The original iPad was my first Apple product. Up until that time I was a strict IBM Compatible PC monogamous. I hated laptops. Viciously saw them as the ultimate compromise. The iPad changed everything. It's not a compromise at all. Completely portable and I can carry it anywhere I want to around or out of the house. Perfectly complements my desktop PC; I have separate uses for both and none of the lunky ness of a laptop. I do 90% of my home web browsing and email on my iPad. Watch movies, read "books," anywhere I want. Can't speak much for it as a productivity tool though. Terrible word processor, but good gaming device (even for hardcore games) King of Dragon Pass X-Com KotOR Battle of the Bulge

What about Ray Bradbury? ...I'm aware of his work.

I gave up reading books. Really bad for the eyes -can lead to permanent vision damage. Also, it can pollute your brain with seditious ideas and useless trivia. Just watch tv; let the brain relax. Or if I must, books on tape. I'm listening to A Storm of Swords.

Fair 'nuff. 90' era I ranked Defensemen as follows: Bourque Chelios Leetch Coffey Lidstrom Blake Stevens I guess I could see that Niedermayer gets the nod in before Blake due to Stanley Cups. But I always had Fleury as a better player than Shanahan. Especially when comparing their five best seasons and three year consecutive peaks. Shanahan does have a longer albeit less dynamic body of work.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six comes to mind. This was pre 2001 though.
-
I don't get that. Scott Niedermeyer in before Rob Blake and Brendan Shanahan before Theoren Fleury??

A Brit? Inconceivable! Congratulations to Andy Murray and The Empire.

Yeah, this was after Recchi went to the Flyers. Circa 95.

My memory came back. 1) Stevens-Lemeiux-Tocchet 2) Mullen-Francis-Jagr 3) McEachern-Straka-Sandstrom I remember Ron Francis was saying that he had to be the tough one on his line - which I found funny because he had just won the Lady Byng.

Between Curry's and Bogut's ankles, I think ownership needs to hire the top ankle specialists in the world and design shoes to fit appropriately. Less polyurethane and more rubber!

Slightly off topic: I'm trying to remember the top two lines for the mid 90's era Penguins. Was it Stevens-Lemieux-Tocchet and Mullen-Francis-Jagr or do I Kevin Stevens and Joe Mullen switched? Was Mullen even part of top two lines? Or was Mullen with Martin Straka and Shawn McEachern??? Who am I missing? I was thinking about this the other day and never bothered to look it up.

Sorry, I'm reliving 2001 again (pre Moneyball era) with tonight's exchange. Hahaha! Heated arguments with my my more traditionalist friends. Things were new and sites like Baseball Prospectus and Baseball Primer were at their infancy and lots of research and peer reviewed material was shared: (OBP = life, Runs Created, WARP, Win Shares, k/bb, k/9, BA = overrated, W-L = overrated, 1 run strategies, fallacies of small ball, Ken Phelps All Stars, and playoffs are a crapshoot, Earl Weaver is God and Billy Beane is his prophet, and how could anyone in their right mind actually think that Junior Griffey was actually better than Barry Bonds??? Lies, Damn Lies and Statistics) I was a Giants fan secretly worshipping at the feet of Billy Beane and just furious at Sabaen for not constructing a team that would take full advantage of Barry Bond's talent.

Between Curry, Iggy, Bogut, and David Lee, the ball movement is going to be fantastic for the Warriors. Add in Klay Thompson's shooting and Harrison Barnes' potential, they are going to be really fun to watch. Doom and gloom for the Lakers. Though I like what Ainge is doing for Boston. He sees the big picture and fantastic hire with the coach from Butler.

The 2012 squad hit 103 home runs. Next closest team were the Dodgers with 116. 5 other teams hit more than 200. Posey is legit. Sabaen needs to surround him with better hitters. It's not like he doesn't have a budget to work with. Spending $42 million combined on Lincecum and Zito for this year doesn't help. Considering that's almost the entirety of the A's budget for 40 players. How are the Giants neighbors doing this year?
