Bwahahahahaha!! The most epic fail of epic fails in recent draft history. They had four first rounders and ended up drafting three point guards with their first three picks (Ricky Rubio, Johnny Flynn, Ty Lawson, and Wayne Ellington). Rubio would stick in Europe for a few years, Flynn they kept but would soon play his way out of the NBA. They traded Lawson. Ellington is a serviceable end of rotation off guard. But as far as point guards go, they passed up on Stephen Curry (budding superstar) and Jrue Holiday (All Star) AND they traded away Ty Lawson (All Star). If you're going to go point guard heavy, at least get it right...

College Hoops is fun. Bummer about Westbrook though.

Watched the trailer. Holy cow, how did I not know this was coming out?? Easily bumped up to #2 on my most anticipated list behind only Eternity.

Can't watch the video until later, but is the soundtrack the same?

Ditto.

You almost definitly heard about it. Sawyer Project. March 2012. George Ziets + Co went away? That thing. Not everyone is as dialed in these boards as others regarding project status and employee turnaround. Some of these references can get pretty esoteric even for board regulars.

"The vehicles range from the 1950's to modern. We're also looking at near future technology (next 5 years or so), but we'll be sticking to real, built vehicles for our initial lineups." Dammit. I was looking forward to the T-34.

Not that this has any real bearing or will correlate into sales, but for what it's worth, the World of Tanks Twitter feed has more followers than Obsidian. So I guess there is a market for this type of game, or its pastiches/derivatives...

Akari is leading the team? Neat! Though we haven't seen him frequent these boards in years. Wondering if Anthony Davis is involved in the project too. You'd think he'd be a good fit considering his tanker background.

Wait. Just.... wait a second. You imagine that the end product will only ever be provided to the backers? I just can't... I don't... I confess to be in awe. I actually find reading lots of the knee-jerk overreactions to be quite humorous. Plus, apparently Obsidian isn't allowed to make a big profit and sell to a wider audience beyond backers? Talk about self-entitlement.

Well at least they are working on other projects. Always a good thing, and branching out to other genres can keep, things from being so insular.

Automatic pledge right here. I really enjoyed the dual interview where Jake Solomon (designer of modern XCOM) first met Gollop and completely nerded out.

Welp. That came out of nowhere. ...so is Anthony Davis involved? You'd think he'd be a natural for this...umm...project.

Greek Freak Alert! http://sports.yahoo.com/news/from-selling-sunglasses-on-street-to-nba-player-on-the-rise--greek-freak-living-the-american-dream-214309752.html I am a real big fan of Giannis Antetokounmpo. (Didn't even come close to spelling his name right pre-edit.) For different reasons, I am also a big believer in Damian Lillard. On and off the court, the guy just represents Oakland very well.

Miami's problem are as follows: 1) Defense - they are not playing their unique helter-skelter, trapping, blitzing defense with the same ferocity as they've done earlier in the year. 2) Wear and Tear - Wade, Allen, and Battier are just not as good anymore. Age and injuries do play a factor; especially if you are a small ball, high intensity team like the Heat. 3) There are a lot of good teams that can actually beat them. That said, I think they'll be fine for the playoffs. Maybe Spoelstra should consider giving his vets some of the Popovich rest treatment. Works very well for the Spurs

Actually, I can only blame myself. Not doing enough due diligence regarding grass roots internet basketball trends. That recent Indiana meltdown was pretty fun to see though. Exposes the significant holes in their offense when their defense wasn't firing.

How come no one told me it's Boogie Week?!? http://www.hickory-high.com/category/boogieweek/ Boogie and Isaiah Thomas playing together make the Kings very watchable for me.

The amount of bans in this post is almost enough for my eyeballs to ban blood from them. Guys! Guys! KISS principle, remember? That's the problem with Amerika these days. Always so quick with the nuclear option and start banning bans. Simply ask Fio or the Guildmaster to include "ban" on the censorship list for the forum filters.

Just for the sake of putting it out there, what are your suspicions? I actually haven't played the game yet, still waiting on the first few patches to resolve most of the critical issues that may or may not be game-breaking or annoying. I've only seen alanschu's first let's play video (which is hilarious btw).

I'd be hesitant to lay blame or make accusations on "evil" publishers based on speculation or second hand hearsay without compelling evidence or reasonable deductive reasoning. Even Bethesda shouldn't be blamed for not paying off the bonus. Contract was signed and agreed to by both parties. Obsidian didn't get screwed by either the publishers or the critics (who for the most part, reviewed the game fairly. It was just unfortunate that they came so close from achieving their bonus. It was just a bad time at Obsidian - they weren't dealt the right cards and probably didn't play their hands correctly either.

But stating "all Roma are dirty thieves" is still a negative ethnic stereotype with racist undertones.

I've always wondered about the Devil of Caroc. At first I thought it was the "ironic" moniker for the orlan detective. Where did you get the image?

Will priests and/or paladins have inherent bonuses/penalties/traits based on their chosen deity/cause? If so, are they active on character creation or during the level up progression? Additionally, how are weapon proficiencies handled? Do characters learn or master weapon groups or individual weapon types?
