  1. Wow. The 2007 Allison Stokke craze has now breached Obsidian.
  2. How badass are priests? How do they compare to fighters and paladins in combat efficacy?
  3. I see it as a laugh track. I need my audible cues.
  4. Well, they don't have a good-evil alignment system so technically no.I also read they (devs) see Paladins (in PoE) as 'zealots' so they (paladins) probably consider themselves to be 'good' but not everyone might agree. Yep. http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/63968-update-56-paladins-and-wild-orlans/?hl=paladin
  5. NHL 93-94-95 http://grantland.com/the-triangle/nhlpa-93-vs-nhl-94-the-ultimate-showdown/ Because making Gretzky's head bleed.
  6. Always interested in watching a profeshunal vidya gaemz developer actually "playing" a game.
  7. Of course not.It was Boo and Dynaheir. In fact, Boo has sex with every character in the BG saga. Including Irenicus, Firkraag, and Noober. That's really warped KP. I'm all for casual, meaningless humping...these adventurers need a release after mass slaughtering scores of kobolds and hobgoblins, but you are letting your imagination run to sick bastard territory. Nowhere was it even implied that Boo was so loose with his affections. Back on topic: I'm kinda miffed that there was a whole lot less fracking in BG's sequels than the originals. Where all the Harlots at in Athkatla? Baldur's Gate was brimming with them! Aside from Anomen and Keldorn, my party was pretty much asexual. You really had to work at getting into Vicinia, Jaheira, and Aerie. Too needy, too much drama, not enough humping. Sometimes (well actually every night), you just want a good lay. There better be plenty of brothels, or at least party members willing to put out, in PE. I'm glad at least they are getting rid of all the emotional baggage and neediness out of it. Good riddance. Alpha Protocol got "romance" right. JB got his needs fulfilled and he didn't have to go through the ridiculous formality of a Badly written Jane Austenesque courtship ritual. (That's not a slam on Jane Austen - love, love her work). He only wants to get laid, and he got it.
  8. Whoever said anything about romance? Dynaheir is a witch...and she has needs, and Minsc is a physical specimen Why do you think she always saves her Charm spells at night? ...(it's because she wants to get laid) Dude, the Friendly Arm gets more action than the Olympic Village. Eldoth + Skie Coran + Safana Coran + Safana + all comers Shar-Teel + Branwen Xzar + Montalban Jaheira getting really Nasty w Khalid. Abusive.
  9. Bruce, he's talking about implied role playing using the imagination to fill in the parts of the game that is outside the scope of actual gameplay. In your head. Creating stories for yourself regarding what is happening after hours or in between the butt kicking for goodness part. Minsc (+Boo) and Dynaheir getting it on at the Friendly Arm. Keldorn showing some of the inner workings of his Radiant Heart to Anomen and showing him who's the master paladin. There...instant romance. During the course of gameplay, we get a sense of what is going on with our party interaction. We don't have to explicitly see/hear what is going on in camp. If you think there is some extracurricular activity going on, well why not? Let your imagination go with it. Hiro's smurfs certainly did.
  10. Lebron. http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/201403030MIA.html
  11. 4 hours in. Agreed that it's an improvent over a Dead Man's Switch. Really enjoying it.
  12. Dang. Never considered Volo's textured usage of nuance. I've always figured his preferred posting style was as sharp as a bag of hammers. ... Manu's shoe incident was hilarious.
  13. Well, Volo did use a smaller font...
  14. Will be giving it a go this weekend.
  15. Agreed about Indiana. Barely watchable unless you have a thing for defense pr0n. But tell me about Houston. Why are they fun to watch for you? Do you actually watch their games? They lead the league in three point attempts, except that they have no particularly good three point shooters. They also lead the league in free throw attempts, except that they are next to the bottom in FT%. They are also near the bottom on passes per possession...which is pretty good if you like to watch a lot of Heroball. And their primary backcourt, Harden and Kin can't play together. Both need the ball to be effective and their skillsets are redundant when they play together. Neither are particularly effective jumpshootists; each having to rely on the pick n roll, and both have lousy turnover rates as primary ball handlers. Fun to watch? Please.
  16. Yep. Vogel's defensive schemes are outstanding as they essentially force offenses to settle for mid range jumpers. Tom Thibidou's defenses are also becoming very popular in the league. It's primarily an anti pick n roll defense called ICE that denies the middle and forces players towards the baseline or funnels them straight to your shotblocker if beaten.
  17. Keeping it simple: I enjoy watching a well balanced offensive system predicated on ball movement and flexibility. Houston's offense though effective at times, does not generate ball movement or adaptability. They will have difficulty against good defenses that can take away the paint and guard against the three. I enjoyed the Triangle under Phil Jackson, the Princeton Offense under Rick Adelman, and the Nellieball Warriors. Three different offenses that were adaptable and can counter whatever the defense was showing them.
  18. Exhibit A: Daryl Morey http://grantland.com/the-triangle/trio-grande-valley-daryl-moreys-d-league-plan-to-do-away-with-midrange-shots/ Pretty serindipitous.
  19. I went away to school in Davis. Moo Cows galore. *sniff sniff*
  20. Hardcore fans would have backed it on Day One of the Kickstarter.
  21. Gilroy. Or garlic restaurants like the Stinking Rose in San Francisco.
  22. Nah. My biggest complaint is that Chandler Parsons isn't getting elbowed in the face enough.
  23. Not gonna lie. Never having your garlic ice cream ever again.
