  1. Spaghetti alla puttanesca with extra anchovies. Everything tastes better with extra anchovies.
  2. I'd still like to know more about their second Kickstarter as was subtly hinted in Feargus's interview. Will this be a trend or do they expect PE to make enough in sales to essentially self-fund their own throwback games after the second Kickstarter? Will the 10 to 1 sales to "preorder" ratio holdup? I'd be curious regarding the sales data of Broken Age, Banner Saga, and Shadowrun to see how the ratio holds up for Kickstarted games.
  3. Neither the Heat or Pacers are playing good ball right now. Why shouldn't San Antonio be the favorites? Best franchise for the past 15-16 years now. They have several championships, they play team-oriented system basketball. No team can out execute the Spurs with their motion and HORNS based offense. Rarely do you see ISOS or hero ball -coach's pron. Remember, they were one rebound away from winning the championship last year.
  4. For years my fantasy baseball team had "Fat" as a prefix. But really it was wordplay on "Phat." Though many of my players were both phat and fat.
  5. At this point, I'll say San Antonio is the favorite right now. They are experienced, deep, well rested, have momentum, the best coach, and the best offense in the game.
  6. The Giants are going to be good this year - probably high 80's to low 90's in the win column. But I don't see them catching the Dodgers. It'll be a dogfight for the NL Wildcards with Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Atlanta, and San Francisco.
  7. What was the rationale for the trade? Gentry's a good ball player but did the A's really need him? The belief was that Gentry could help right away whereas Choice is still developing. In addition, the A's have a lot of flyball pitchers and Gentry covers a lot of ground in the outfield. Essentially a calculated move for the short term to help win a tight AL West. (Intra-division trade notwithstanding...)
  8. Hated that the A's had to trade away Michael Choice. Rangers got a good one.
  9. AL EAST BOSTON TAMPA BAY New York Baltimore Toronto AL CENTRAL DETROIT Kansas City Cleveland Minnesota Chicago AL WEST OAKLAND ANAHEIM Texas Seattle Houston MVP: Mike Trout CY YOUNG: Felix Hernandez ROY: Masahiro Tanaka NL EAST WASHINGTON ATLANTA Philadelphia New York Miami NL CENTRAL ST. LOUIS PITTSBURGH CINCINNATI Chicago Milwaukee NL WEST LOS ANGELES San Diego San Francisco Arizona Colorado MVP: Andrew McCutchen CY YOUNG: Stephen Strasburg ROY: Billy Hamilton WORLD SERIES: Oakland over Washington
  10. To be fair, there really isn't a salary cap or harsh penalties for overspending as there are in other sports. But the Cabrera deal isn't nearly so bad as the one the Giants gave to Hunter Pence. $18.5m/yr for the next five years. That's more annual salary than what Lebron is making! Absolutely ludicrous for league average corner outfielder production through his age 35 year!
  11. Oakland's down two starting pitchers. Should still be enough to take the AL West. #NerdPower
  12. Well, there is going to be a party NPC who happens to be an Orlans detective.
  13. It's likely none of the above. We don't really know any plot details other than that it does not revolve around the protagonist trying to save the world/land/people. I believe in the opening, the protagonist finds him/herself caught in the middle of circumstances as a bystander and things just move on from there. At its core, PE will be a real time w pause tactical 6 party rpg hardening back to the Infinity Engine games from a decade past that will have an emphasis on fun, tactical gameplay and mature themes than your typical contemporary game with an emphasis on cinematic presentation. Edit: Here's again the link to the Kickstarter and their pitch: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/obsidian/project-eternity?ref=search
  14. Yes, the game is isometric - Which is pretty much one of the biggest hooks that snagged all us filthy backer types. Graphics and lighting, from what we've seen, are shaping up to be superb. I know DA2 is bad enough lol I don't mind much about graphic actually as long as it is not like Arcanum in which too pain to see. Anyway, the game is still in developement isn't it, then i wish you guys good luck. I will seek out this game if God will the camera will be like that of arcanum but the graphics will be much more clean... just look at some screenshots. So there is no 360 degree rotation? I think there will be some problem with that, especially when want to position your team mates. In DA:O we can rotate the camera and so we can micromanage our party members Example, AoE spells, with rotating camera we can position our spells where we want to execute them. If can't rotate the camera, it will be like Diablo, you can't attack enemies off screen, but enemies can attack you off screen Do yourself a favor and try any of these games out. You can get them cheap on gog.com or even get updated refreshes of Baldur's Gate or Baldur's Gate 2 on steam. My recommendation would be BG2 or Planescape: Torment. To many of us, these games, along with the original Fallouts, are the absolute pinnacle of the golden age of rpg's. Everything else just pales in comparison.
  15. Wasn't he the OG, Ass Prod?
  16. Much propage to what Fred Hoiberg has done for Iowa State. Heck, he even turned Royce White into a first round pick.
  17. Bwahahahahaha!! The most epic fail of epic fails in recent draft history. They had four first rounders and ended up drafting three point guards with their first three picks (Ricky Rubio, Johnny Flynn, Ty Lawson, and Wayne Ellington). Rubio would stick in Europe for a few years, Flynn they kept but would soon play his way out of the NBA. They traded Lawson. Ellington is a serviceable end of rotation off guard. But as far as point guards go, they passed up on Stephen Curry (budding superstar) and Jrue Holiday (All Star) AND they traded away Ty Lawson (All Star). If you're going to go point guard heavy, at least get it right...
  18. College Hoops is fun. Bummer about Westbrook though.
  19. Watched the trailer. Holy cow, how did I not know this was coming out?? Easily bumped up to #2 on my most anticipated list behind only Eternity.
  20. Can't watch the video until later, but is the soundtrack the same?
  21. Ditto.
  22. You almost definitly heard about it. Sawyer Project. March 2012. George Ziets + Co went away? That thing. Not everyone is as dialed in these boards as others regarding project status and employee turnaround. Some of these references can get pretty esoteric even for board regulars.
  23. "The vehicles range from the 1950's to modern. We're also looking at near future technology (next 5 years or so), but we'll be sticking to real, built vehicles for our initial lineups." Dammit. I was looking forward to the T-34.
  24. Not that this has any real bearing or will correlate into sales, but for what it's worth, the World of Tanks Twitter feed has more followers than Obsidian. So I guess there is a market for this type of game, or its pastiches/derivatives...
