  1. I don't, but I prefer savegame editors or console commands.
  2. Roam is looking promising. Latest update showed off some of the construction options and how some buildings interact with each other when you overlap them. Definitely looking good for $100,000
  3. I haven't seen a 3D movie yet that I didn't enjoy more in 2D.
  4. For JRPGs, definitely look at Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, and Suikoden II. Xenogears is fantastic until the end of the first disc, though the first disc is like 60-80 hours anyway. Suikoden III and V are also solid games, with V being almost as good as II. Breath of Fire 2 is one of my favorites, but the localisation leaves much to be desired, and Breath of Fire 3 isn't bad either. BoF4 takes a dramatic tonal shift and is much more serious than the first 3, and you can just skip Dragon Quarter alltogether. I hear good things about Anachronox too, but I didn't get too far in it.
  5. I think you grabbed a tentacle or something. Not sure.
  6. I was initially turned off of SGU because of the stylistic change from a SG1/Atlantis style to a BSG style, but I stuck with it and enjoyed it. Really liked Eli and Rush. When they started encountering their descendants I got kind of excited that it would shift back to more of a SG1/Atlantis style, but then the drones came and kinda ruined the series a bit. My biggest beef though was with the freaking gates having a range. The Atlantis gates could all gate to any other gate in their galaxy, and so could the SG1 gates, so why did the SGU ones need to be in range of another gate?
  7. You misspelled Suikoden II Did Suikoden let you Suplex a moving train? I don't think so. To be fair it was a Ghost Train, so it probably didn't weigh much.
  8. Hey Alan, all the video we've seen so far has been all up close actiony, with console players saying it looks like a cross of DA2 and DA:O, whereas I've only played PC and it looks nothing like that. Is the up close consoley view the default for both PC and Console, or is the PC version going to be similar to DA:O and DA2? If you know and/or are allowed to say.
  9. Re-watched the Lone Ranger. Still don't understand the hate. Only problem I had with it was it was too long.
  10. You misspelled Suikoden II
  11. Try Jade Empire if you liked Mass Effect. They are very similar in style, and the setting is very unique for a western RPG. I had a lot of fun with it. Chrono Trigger is a must if you like JRPGs, one of Square's best by far. Chrono Cross isn't bad, but doesn't even come close. The best on the list Is BG2 and Planescape:Torment, but I've found they're hard to get into again if you're used to modern graphics. So if you have problems with them, try to stick it out until you get used to it. You won't regret it.
  12. The FR books are my staple. I really wish someone would get off their arse and adapt some of them to TV or movies, would love to see some of the characters on screen. On a somewhat related note, can you believe how badly they botched the DragonLance Chronicles movie? It was painful. And one thing the comics and the movie got wrog that pissed me off was Fistandantilus's bright red spellbooks. Its a smal detail, but they refer to them as night blue like 1000 times throughout the series, its not something anyone should have gotten wrong. Its not the worst thing about it, but the one thing that sticks with me.
  13. Activated fine, looking forward to it. I loved the original campaign.
  14. I don't get the issue with QTEs. They may not be optimal gameplay, but they usually fit the game they are implemented in.
  15. If you still have one I'd love it

  17. I don't like crafting. I especially don't like being able to easily craft weapons that are 4x as powerful as weapons literally bestowed on me by a god.
  18. Oh it's a great thing, but for console players. Would be intersting to find out how many of the people who liked DA2 played it on a console. That makes sense. I played Mass Effect on console and didn't mind the wheel, but hated it in DA2. That said, I enjoyed DA2, despite pretty much everythig being a step down from DA:O, and I am still very interested in DA:I
  19. The console version of DS3 was a lot easier to play. The PC version was an exercise in frustration.
  20. Yep. Including some of my friends that I knew personally. Different people like different things. Its an example of the internet making it easy to avoid opposing viewpoints, as I have never heard of anyone thinking the dialogue wheel was a good thing until now.
  21. Wait... people complained about the lack of a dialogue wheel in DA:O? Its the 2nd worst thing about DA2 after the reused areas IMO.
  22. Every Bioware game since BG1 has been good(Well, I can't comment on the Sonic one), and romances enhance an RPG. Graphics matter. I have never played a Spiderweb game, and until they up their graphics to the level of 1998 or better, I never will. Balance isn't that important. Rogues shouldn't be just as effective as fighters in combat. I agree with Jennifer Hepler. Combat is the worst part of RPGs. I generally set it to easy and cheat to get through it faster.
  23. Video Game companies need to start divwrsifying like the movie industry. Do a bunch of lower budget games that are easier to make a profit off of so the big AAA games don't bankrupt the company if they fail.
  24. That, or collect a huge paycheck for a handful of lines (at least, I didn't read anything about him being motion captured). Plus, that's what he's best at, Vin Diesel's best part has always been The Iron Giant. One line. All Groot says is "I am Groot"
  25. Bean always seemed kinda brooding to me, so him being all smiles in the movie threw me off. Am I remembering the books wrong?
