Something that came up in the article... are people really abandoning consoles for crap like candy crush and flappy bird?

No single player campaign makes a game a Do Not Want for me. I don't want to play with other people unless I'm in the same room.

I only had a problem with the Sneaky Squeaker, the controller prompts weren't even close to what you had to do, and having Randy repeat the instructions every time you failed got REALLY annoying.

Has anyone else been concerned that a policy of "They speak our language, they're our citizens" effectively means the UK is obliged to invade most of the planet?I know a few more Canadians that would be ok with rejoining the British Empire. You'd have to give up the hockey sticks for cricket bats though. Nah, nothing wrong with regional culture. Scots didn't have to give up kilts.

Also, while Chavez may not have done a fantastic job in all areas, everything I know of him points at him genuinely caring about his people/country, and wanting to do what he felt was best. New guy not so much.

Why wouldn't it? It is local news for Canada, I bet similar snipsets poped up across the globe, though I didn't see anything of the sort (including this) in the global political sections. -- Meanwhile, even though Russia claim that all those Pro-Russian forces wearing Russia's uniforms\equipment and driving their vehicles, who took hold of strategic position(including around Ukrainian military bases) with military precision are just local defense forces with no affiliation to them. But I wonder how they will explain blockading the Ukrainian port in Sevastopol, prevented Ukrainian navy from leaving? I wonder if they will claim that this too is part of their base lease program with Urkaine, or not an intervention, or just more local defense force sailing Russian ships Well, after the head of the Ukrainean navy defected to the Crimean government and turned it over to them, they're probably just helping Crimea by trying to prevent defection of their navy to Ukraine

This is how I've been feeling about io9 lately. It would be nice to read some Doctor Who news without being told the next Doctor should be a woman or PoC and if you disagree you are what's wrong with society.

Disappointed in Lagertha leaving, but looking up the historical/mythological figure seems she becomes Queen of Norway and comes to Ragnar's rescue at some point. The guy who plays Rollo is my choice for Hercules if he shows up in the Marvel movies after that battle scene though

Op-Ed: Bethesda, Obsidian, and $6 Million for a New Fallout
Oerwinde replied to DrQuickbeam's topic in Obsidian General
Bethesda trowing 10 million at remaking Fallout 1 and 2 in a modern engine like Unity, with some of the modern aesthetic (NCR Rangers using New Vegas armor) and releasing both in a Fallout Origins pack might just make some decent cash. Build an interface thats usable with controllers and you could sell them digitally on PSN and Xbox Live as well to maximize profit. Could be a good way to get modern fans into the classics. If it does well I could see them possibly investing in a Fallout Origins franchise, doing smaller budget 3rd person games in different parts of the world. I would be all over that. -
I assumed the lack of women in physics and engineering while chemistry and biology are seeing more parity had more to do with men liking logic and building stuff while women want to help people

Sorry to hear about that mate, I think you need to store a backup of your save onto a flash drive. :Dthat's a good idea. Luckily the game is half cutscenes, which are skippable, so I've been able to make up about an hour and a half in like 30-40 minutes. And before anyone badmouths the amount of cutscenes, they're largely animated by Studio Ghibli, so they're actually a selling point of the game. Any reason she doesn't have her own profile on ps3? She's 5 and didn't need one because its the first PS3 game I got that she can play

So I played Ni No Kuni for 6 hours yesterday, and this morning my daughter saved her game over all my savegames. Mostly juat due to how the PS3 handles saves. She just kept saving over the bottom of 3 because she thought that was hers, nut it kept making the one she saved over the top one so mine got moved to the bottom.

To summarize Rostere, boycotts are only effective on countries with significant private enterprise, and the video was crap because it was essentially "if you criticize israel you support muslim extremism and communism, and Zionism = anti-racism, so if you don't support zionism you are a super racist."

mmmm...smoke some weed, watch a movie in 3D and then tell me the experience wasn't better than 2D What is it that makes it better? The barely noticable depth effect that doesn't actually register to your eyes and brain anymore after 5 minutes of film, the eyestrain from forcing your eyes into perfect focus for every second of the film, the higher chance of motion sickness, or the complete loss of color and contrast in the image? While I don't partake (I know, so unexpected from a dutch person) I highly doubt even weed can make this better. For me its mostly the not really noticing it after the first few minutes, coupled with the glasses bothering my nose, the lack of clarity of picture, and having to pay extra for the experience.

Grabbed the digital version of Ni No Kuni for 10 bucks on sale. 20 GB download was not fun. So far the game is, though its really heavy on easig you into the mechanics

It sucks the only FR game in a while is an MMO. I'd love to see another epic RPG setin the realms.

Or when the Canadian Conservative party merged with the Liberal party to form the Liberal Conservatives (precursor to the PCs I believe)

Don't RTS games tend to fail horribly on consoles? -

One of the things I liked about the Suikoden games. 6 member parties in JRPGs were unheard of, but they did things like combo moves between groups and such that let you do really interesting things. Seems like 3 members is the standard now. -
Anyone else think its ironic that censorship has become a liberal value?
