And those robes are good. If possible I try to keep Sand in one of those robes for the whole game. Also, I see a whole lot of people using the term "mute point" and it bothers me. Its "moot point" dammit.

The eyes make me think "EVIL PRAWN!"

Well, if you get the US LE, it doesn't have the soundtrack. Not exactly sure where you're from, but thar you be for that. In game, Blessed of Waukeen I don't find too useful. If it was permanent it would be fine, but having to turn it on all the time got annoying. I'm not sure if you need Blessed of Waukeen or Merchant's Friend to get all the new items, but there are 3 merchants who all sell some cool items. Class specific item sets where each merchant sells one part of the set, and theres at least two magic weapons of every type, most of them very powerful. My first playthrough all my characters were equipped from these merchants. 2nd playthrough I just made a bunch of overkill custom items in the toolset and used the giveitem cheat.

50 Reasons Why NWN1 is better than NWN2
Oerwinde replied to Riftworm's topic in Computer and Console
1, 8, 14, 21, 31, 37, 38, 42, 45 and 50 seem "nitpicky"? LOL! Those are game enders lol.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I had no problem with load times, the only time being unable to attack a non-hostile bothered me was with the dryad, I thought combat was way better than NWN1, mostly due to the superior animations, I didn't even realize that there was no underwear because my characters are always wearing armor, 42 is very nitpicky. You do have a point with 45 though. Performance is bad. Though I'm hearing they fixed that in 1.03. So far out of all of those, I agree with 3, 11, 17, 45. And 17 is only bad because NWN1 had such horrible voice sets. I find the recycled music isn't that bad, as adding it to the new beautiful environments adds so much to the music. -
I can't install the patch. It gets to silver_sword_atk.utc or something and says the file is wrong and cancels.

You americans. Bah, thanksgiving is old news. We did that last month. We skipped the turkey and had roast duck with amaretto sauce... oh baby.

The sequel is better than the original. Even though the effects suck, in general the story and acting are better. Donnie Darko = teh awesome.

I just saw The Fountain. Its weird. I liked it. Thats really all I can say. When it was over, no one stood up. They just sat there watching the screen. Thats never happened unless there was something after the credits.

If you have permanent resident status or citizenship in Canada, tuition at one of the nicer universities is something like 1500-4000 a year, depending on the program. Private schools are much more expensive. It depends on the province too. Quebec is dirt cheap for example, the average tuition being around 1100 a year, while ontario I belive average is like 4000 a year. While BC and Alberta are more in the middle averaging around 2500 a year.

I figured he was using the professor's program to locate them all. Hence why he had the huge map in his apartment.

I've never used Linux so I don't know personally, but thats the first time I've ever heard someone complain about the lack of control in Linux. Isn't one of its main benefits that you can customize pretty much everything?

Building interiors is something that could easily be modded into the game. They just weren't important enough for the devs to bother. I think NWN2 seems remarkably complete considering the state of RPGs lately.

??? My NWN2 folder takes up almost 6.5 GB fully patched. The folder in My documents only takes up 93 MB, though I'm not far in the game and I only keep 2 saves, besides autosave and quicksave. Where on earth does this 17 GB figure come from? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The game requires 7 gigs of free space for the first patch. It creates backups of all the game files in the event of a botched patching job, then when it successfully patches, it deletes the backups. But it doesn't delete any of the backups until the end of the patch job, so it creates like 7 gigs of backup files. If you run out of space while patching, the patch fails. Add that to Roshan's ungodly amount of save games which all seem to be late in act 3 if they're all that big, plus the game files, that creates like 17 gigs of required space. Though the 7 gigs isn't required after the first patch. I don't understand why you need so many saves. I have 11 saves, Auto, Quick, and one for each character.

Heres a weird thing about the highcliff inn:

I just hate some of the options that give you evil points. Its stupid. Like "I want you to go down into this horrible undead filled crypt to see if someone is there" "Uh, ok... do I get paid for this?" "WHAT!? You horrible evil bastard!"

Yeah, I figured it out last night. Quick question for all you D&D brains, why is a Warlocks powers dependant on him staying Chaotic? His powers arent spells nor divine grants, they are abilities born into the person. AFAIK, Sorcerers share this trait too and arent restricted to an alignment so why Warlocks? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Warlock power I believe is derived from pacts with demons and such. Hence the requirement to be evil or chaotic.
-
I believe its an alignment restriction. You have be be either evil or chaotic.

I was thinking like in KotOR 1, when you stop in the middle of your fight with Malak to have a nice little chat. Or in KotOR 2 when you do so like 3 or 4 times with whats his name guy who's all falling apart. You know, parts where it would make sense to talk while fighting.
-
Using KotOR as an example, I think the conversations in battle should be accompanied by some scripted animations. Like say you take a couple swings, he parries and you speak while you're forcing his lightsaber down, he responds while taking a couple swings back while you parry, and so forth, rather than an all out stop in the battle while a conversation takes place. The scripted battle could also reflect the reactions to the characters lines. Such as if a line is shocking, then it could distract the opponent and have him lose ground and struggle to regain his footing. Would make for some more interesting conversations.

It got really choppy last night... Its annoying, I cranked all the video settings down to as low as it would go, and was getting 18 fps. Thats just not right. 18 fps is what I should be getting with everything cranked during a battle.

So I started creating my custom classes. Made them selectable and reference their custom clothing in the character creation screen. The names are "Bad Resref" though. I wish there was a way to copy and paste entire rows in the toolset 2da editor though. Also, would it be possible to make a class unselectable except for at 1st level? Mages are pretty much outlawed in my world unless they're trained members of the Spellswords, and they pretty much have to operate under the rules of the order, so I want to make sure that mages can't multiclass except to choose the spellsword prestige classes.
-
I have 9 saves, which takes up 471 MB. Hrmm.
-
it does... sometimes. Sometimes you have to select something a second time to be able to delete it. Its annoying. Almost as annoying as clicking on something and dragging it to move it, only to draw a box because you were one pixel away from where you were sposed to click. Also a note: Turning off Tree selection is your friend. The bounding boxes for those things are huge.

Yeah, just tried that. Why doesn't it show up on the in game options menu? I was whining about the invert axis option not being there when it had been there the whole time if I just opened the options from the main menu.
