  1. Labadal from The Silmarillion. Avatars change often so not really worth commenting on that.
  2. They chose visually spectacular instead of cinematic, so I'll give them some credit.
  3. Visceral, heroic combat.
  4. Thanks, now you guys won't have to read about me not having work for a few months! Instead, I'll be complaining about having to go to work.
  5. It's double pay on weekends and before 6am or after 8 pm on Mon-Fri. All other OT is 1,5 times the usual pay. I've actually managed all this OT without working weekends. I don't do Saturday/Sunday work anymore. I've refused that for the last 3 years. I'm not going to take monetary compensation. After I've done all the OT, I'll have 6 days I can take off of work. I'd usually take the money, but I'll take the days off during this Christmas break instead of working. I also managed to negotiate a 2% increase in salary. (lol!)
  6. Been working for a week now and have already managed to work 23.5h overtime. The weekend can't come soon enough. Luckily, I can still browse the internet wherever I am and as long as I get my work done in time. I have another 24h of OT already planned for the next days, but after that, I'll refuse any OT for the rest of my employment period (December 31st).
  7. Why couldn't you say no ? That's a pretty BS request It's his bachelor thesis. I'll do whatever I can if it helps him. I'm expecting him to ask for my help for his master's degree when the time comes. I just look over grammar, spelling and offer opinions on wording and phrases. It's not that bad, it's just that he told me the day before he has to hand it in.
  8. My brother just told me to read his 74 page thesis at 7.30pm and I need to be done before he goes to bed. Geez, thanks bro'. Ofcourse, I couldn't say no. I've read and corrected some stuff, but I had to take a break because the subject he is writing about, while interesting, is not something I usually read 74 pages about.
  9. Mafia 2. There's a lot of driving, but other than that, it's been fairly good so far. Tried the Rayman legends demo and I'm almost certain the PS3 version will be bought this Christmas so I can play it in 4 player co-op.
  10. As far as I know, they are still looking at their options.
  11. Woke up at 8am, ate cornflakes, then back to bed, then played Ni No Kuni, then ate lunch, then went to work, then I got home and now I'm posting this. Forgot it was my parents' wedding day anniversary, so I'll probably buy a cake or something and wish them another 32 years of happiness.
  12. They're called shamburak. Pastie is probably not far off. That's what I tell someone who's never eaten shamburak. But I wouldn't say they have very similar tastes.
  13. Why don't you be the interrogator this time?
  14. That's what they all say at first.
  15. Got an Organ Trail booster pack. Got €0.09 for the cards combined. Still not going to spend the money I've gotten from cards. I'm slowly going to build up funds until Christmas.
  16. Well, we haven't seen much of Persona this generation to be honest. The Vita port is the only thing. And I'm still waiting for Devil Survivor 2 and Shin Megami Tensei IV to launch in Europe.
  17. That's the most interesting part for me. If the camera works well, I can probably forgive a lot of things.
  18. I like Sega games. If we speak of this generation only, Valkyria Chronicles and Yakuza 3 & 4 were great. I have Binary Domain in my backlog, demo was great. I'm just not sure about them localizing all the interesting games. Yakuza 5 and Valkyria Chronicles 3, not to mention Yakuza: Kenzan got no localizations. They've also had to cut down and close down studios. Ideally, they'd buy Atlus and localize most of their games, but this is Sega, which means nothing can be predicted.
  19. I have declassified pre-ordered for £21 with the pre-order DLC (don't give a crap), Spec ops: The Line and the X-com collection. Felt like an awesome deal I couldn't resist.
  20. To celebrate another 6 months of secured work, I decided to play chef. Yes that is a jar of Nutella. Wanna fight 'bout it? It also gives me a chance to show off my sexy spatula that has served me well for some years now. A good one is a must in every kitchen. With this, I have several lunches set for the upcoming two months. The good thing is that you could eat this with salad, tsatsiki or just about everything. Even just squeesing the juice out of a lemon on top is great. I couldn't help myself and decided to try some (four) of them out. Tasty, tasty, tasty!
  21. This thread is as good as any to ask. We are still getting some sort of isometric view, right?
  22. I was happy with the $15 I spent and I'm sporadically playing it for a second time. Whith that said, the game was designed in a way that in my opinion, despite being a good game still has a lot of room for improvements.
  23. Wait SEGA buying Atlus is a done deal? I hope not.
  24. Watched the last episode of Vikings. If ever I had a shield maiden, Lagertha would be my choice.
  25. We just watched that too. I kept reading comparisons to Die Hard, but they're all wrong in that. What it really is: "Under Siege: White House." I kept expecting a pudgy Steven Segal to pop out of the woodwork. ...I liked the first scene on the bridge, and the female Secretary that wouldn't take guff. The rest was pretty redonkulous, even just as "lots of violent action." I agree with those two scenes being well done. The bridge scene even raised my hopes for an interesting story for 5 minutes. I wouldn't compare this to Die Hard. That movie doesn't take itself so seriously while OHF is dead serious.
