  1. I thought you could only do the blue one... Maybe it was because my character was female.
  2. Whatever floats your boat. Let us know how it pans out.
  3. That was pretty much what anyone was talking about when the game came out. If ME2 doesn't have at least twice as much sex, it won't be a worthy sequel.
  4. At least they finally pushed the plot forward and I think they did a pretty good job showing the moral ambiguity of dollhouse from the perspective of the rich dude who lost his wife and all the people in the news clips. All the fighting seemed weird though, are they all masters of weird asian martial arts now?
  5. Don't forget the "mission" system. The game is pretty much a map with waypoints that are battles and cities where you get missions and new weapons. Nothing wrong with that, as long as combat is challenging and fun. I mean, I prefer better gameplay over some kiddy story anyway. Not sure if I can stomach the wierd look of FF4. Is combat in FF4 any good? And how's FFXII Revenant Wing? I'm prolly will get none of those and get The Last Remnant for PC instead. I was just saying that FFTA2 is all about the strategy and equipping your dudes, not so much about the RPG business. Not that there is anything wrong with that, just thought you should know. If you think FF4 looks weird, don't look at FF3, that really does look "kiddie". FFXII Revenant Wing is supposed to be an RTS on the DS, I haven't tried it, but real-time and stylus don't sound like a great combination. I haven't tried Last Remnant, but most of the stuff I have heard is pretty mixed. I don't know how good the PC port is, but JRPGs and the PC haven't mixed too well in the past.
  6. Was it the first episode you watched? This is pretty much the episode where the story really gets going, it's a bit hard to get into it without seeing at least one of the previous episodes.
  7. The next FF VIII episode is up featuring Star Wars, Lost, Wargames and lots of Aeris dieing.
  8. Don't forget the "mission" system. The game is pretty much a map with waypoints that are battles and cities where you get missions and new weapons.
  9. Wow, now we are getting somewhere! It's nice to see the "imprint of the week" stuff take a step back and focus being more on inner-Dollhouse dealings. Even Eliza managed to be funny for a few scenes. Poor Sierra, I knew from the start that it was her handler, that dude looked pretty skeevy from the start. I hope she isn't permanently scarred. Also nice to see Mellie finally get lucky. I didn't get the point of sending the handler to Mellie, only to get him arrested, though. They could just as well have boxed him in the dreaded "attic" or just have him be killed. I don't really know what to make of Echo's little speech to Ballard, I would think that it was all engineered by Adelle, but there probably is a anti-dollhouse thing out there. It's pretty obvious that there are more dollhouses out there. Maybe Alpha added the "message" to Echo's imprint? I really liked the news clips with people talking about the dollhouse "myth" that, along with the man who hired Echo do a great job of obscuring the morality of having programmable people. Joss Whedon and black and white morality just don't mix.
  10. FFIV is has a better story and is generally more awesome than FFIII. FFTA2 is not a JRPG, it's a Turn-Based Strategy RPG and the RPG stuff is really complicated in a not fun way. I wouldn't start with that. FFIV isn't overly complicated and even has FMV and voiceacting. I'd still recommend Chrono Trigger and there are some other JRPGs like Dragon Quest V that are supposedly good. If you want to get a taste of Strategy RPGs, look out for Tactics Ogre: Knight of Lodis for GBA, it is compatible with the DSL and one of the best SRPGs IMO. That's what you get with DS FPSs, they work ok, but the controls just aren't comfortable or intuitive.
  11. The game is semi-good if you just look at the first half(?). The developers had to finish the game on a deadline and the last half(?) suffered... a lot. The game had some interesting ideas, but the quick time events really aren't the way to do action sequences. Want to watch 5 minutes of exposition? Do it while playing Simon Says...

    So it's philosophical Friday again?
  13. I just stole the gif from NeoGAF . It's still pretty interesting, though... Yeah there was certainly some smoke flying around and the door opened on it's own. I think that they were heavily implying that the Smoke Monster is connected to Christian/Claire.
  14. Cool episode, did anyone notice the blond lady behind Sun when she is in the house with Christian? It's probably Claire.
  15. A year down the road and no one will even remember or care that it was ever anything but Syfy. Just like no one thinks Wii = Urine anymore. Wii=wholesome fun games the entire family, even gramma can enjoy. Just because it will be accepted and forgotten doesn't make it any less stupid.
  16. Dawn of Sorrow. And I don't like it at all. I also played a bit Star Wars Clone Wars which is okay-ish, but I think I'm gonna sell that one. The game I'm having must fun currently is Worms Open Warfare 2. How are the Final Fantasy games on the DS? I mean I know they look stupid and childish, but is the gameplay any good? You managed to pick the worst of the Castlevanias, but even Dawn of Sorrow is pretty decent IMO. Final Fantasy games are good if you like JRPGs, have a bunch of time(commuting etc.) and are willing to grind every now and then.
  17. As stupid as it is, I don't care. After Battlestar is over there is nothing worth watching there anyway. This just goes to show that the "marketing" people are totally out of touch with reality.
  18. And what have we gained? A whole genre of crouched wallhugging simulators
  19. Yeah those games were awesome. The waypoint making in the early Rainbow 6's was a bit over the top, but the later ones were awesome. GRAW had some of the viewpoint cams and squad stuff, but it wasn't all that great. They have probably scrapped the genre because it requires a lot of thinking and different buttons that wouldn't work too well on a controller. Also Rainbox 6 was probably the only game where I tolerated auto-aim because you just can't shoot that fast even with a mouse and Quake 3 skills. Also, it was refreshing that even with full SWAT armor you died from a couple of shots and didn't regenerate health.
  20. Yes, he was incorrect there. I don't think it is that big of a deal. The SWAT series came out of the Police Quest series and all in all it is just a tangled web of games released all over the place.
  21. Oh, well good luck testing it.
  22. Didn't know you were on these boards as well. Great job on the mod, I really love the level design. Keep it up!
  23. It's not like that at all, you are no ordinary Big Daddy. You are special, being the first one probably gives you super-sentience and over-arching goals like killing the Big Sister and escaping Rapture to graze on beautiful green fields.
  24. lol. Once I realized that, it was the beginning of the end for me. Bioshock is the king of meaningless choices. At least you get to be evil Bio-Hitler at the end...
