  1. Um yeah, I think you missed your shot. Most things are tied to a server these days... Nope... only minority of the stuff released today is tied to the server... That is not true if you are only EA or Steam customer As great as it would be to have everything DRM-free, I don't see the industry going that way. At least not yet, Ubisoft is making a nice start, though. Dont count only PC gaming but gaming in general, you dont need online activation for most of the console and handheld games No you do not and considering that like half of the 360s are not online, I think that it's going to stay that way. At the moment this is solely a PC problem.

  4. Damn you kids and your internets. You could score some nice GBA games from your local ebay/craig's list counterpart. Otherwise you are stuck with overpriced stuff.
  5. That's probably true, but they are just poor Japanese people who honestly don't understand America's over the top political correctness. I live in the US and honestly don't understand America's over the top political correctness. Yay! Down with stupid political correctness. I want to live in a world where the pixels that I kill can be of any color, a better world!
  6. Most PSP games are crap anyway, except MGS I suppose. But one game didn't justify a PSP purchase for me. So, I was there today at that old juice store and asked whether they've Chrono Trigger. "Chrono Trigger? Never heard of that!". Looked around and found nothing of interest. They had FF4 for the GBA for 15

  8. I don't think you can even BUY CRT anything here anymore. LCD stuff is dirt cheap.
  9. Resident Evil 5 review is up. Including sexism, octopi and a sprinkle of racism.
  10. I liked the bullet time as well. It was a bit boring that you only had shoot dodge and sloow bullet time. They should use some stuff from Stranglehold to spice up the gunplay. As bad as Stranglehold was, it had some awesome ideas with all the staircase running and table kicking. There should be more acrobatic stuff and more ways to interact with the environment. Maybe some Equilibrium or even Matrix-y stuff.
  11. Aww, I love you Purkake. *hugs* Anyways, I've decided to play the BG trilogy, even though I find the first game endlessly boring, and the last 'game' horribly munchkinny and devoted to combat. I've downloaded EasyTutu and BGNPC w/ music. Then I searched through the gazzilion or so mod and found not one 'Viconia likes girls' mod. First off, Viconia would have sex with a good looking woman in a minute. She might not fall in love. She might decide the next morning to insult and belittle that woman for chuckles, but she’s still get horizontal. Secondly, what the hell has the BG moding community been doing for the last decade that there’s not *one* ‘Viconia likes girls’ mod? There are mods where you can sleep with Imoen as a woman, mods where you can romance 15 year old paladins. Five hundred mods where you can romance some loser that wasn’t even in the original trilogy, yet Viconia gets nothing? By this point, my female fight should be able to romance her, my mage should be able to have an orgy with every female joinable NPC in the game, and my male paladin should be able to thoroughly search Minsc when Boo plays hide-and-go-seek. When Dragon Age comes out, I hope the modding community gets off its backside and actually does something. Aww, we're all just one happy family here. Are you sure you looked hard enough and in the right places? If there was one BG2 mod in the world, it would be to turn the one drow in the game lesbian (or schoolgirl[or furry]). Oh well, back to the Pit of Shoggoths...
  12. That's some kiddie Lost stuff. Oh no! My sudden mental image doesn't measure up to HP Lovecraft! There are things man was never meant to understand...
  13. 60 Hz is a headache inducing refresh rate. Just sayin'. Aren't most LCDs 60Hz these days? Maybe I'm just immune...
  14. That's some kiddie Lost stuff. If it were Lovecraftian, they would all get weird letters to go to the toxic waste pool. Then they would ponder over their parentage while Sally gets snagged. The morning after Sally would mysteriously reappear and tell them that Shoggoth is actually their father and they all have to go into the toxic waste to go to the stars.
  15. You got your Fallout in my Lovecraft!
  16. I found it painfully boring and quit at the beginning of act II. Hope you enjoy it more. Agreed, Assassin's Creed is the master of master of boring side missions and boring story. If it had been like Hitman, it could have been awesome. At least Prince of Persia had Elika and an interesting ending. An interesting ending? I don't know if interesting would be the word I would use to describe the ending. Whether you liked it or not, they were at least trying something different than 98% of games out there. Also it seems that it has provoked some strong reactions from people.

  18. I'd rather watch people play games on youtube... Some of the X-Com let's plays are pretty fun.
  19. I visited an old fashioned games shop in the Netherlands last year and they literally had a pile of GBA games sitting there. It had some interesting stuff like Tactics Ogre: Knight of Lodis.
  20. Let's hope that they will remake it ala FF III/IV. Speaking of old SNES games I loved Lufia II and Tales of Phantasia... I think that both of them are also on the GBA.
  21. I don't remember anything about that. It was just a dude who betrayed you. And toward the end most average thugs need two shotgun blasts to the face to die... I don't remember the ending of 2 but I do remember the ending of Max1 was you using a grenade launcher to knock a radio antenna down on a helicopter. You had to drop a really sharp piece of abstract art on the dude. The puzzle-type bosses were pretty good, I just got annoyed when a desert eagle to the head didn't kill people anymore.
