  1. Well this episode was... weird, one might almost say crazy. The Topher/Adelle stuff was hilarious, but it got pretty ridiculous when everyone was on drugs. While Echo was super-cute in that outfit, she was exactly the same as Caroline in the flashbacks, the only thing she does well is the child-like state. Speaking of the flashbacks, I found them confusing and pretty boring. Victor and Sierra were awesome as usual and the new black soon-to-be-doll seemed pretty cool as well. The preview for next week looks really interesting. I totally agree, what the hell was Whedon thinking? "She was made for that role" yeah like a square peg was made for a round hole... Dichen Lachman(Sierra) would be a way better lead for the show
  2. There were some really interesting games/concepts at the GDC experimental games session. Here's the Gamasutra article. What really caught my eye was the strategy game where you could travel back and forward in time, destroying enemies before they are created and creating crazy paradoxes. It's called Achron and it's still in alpha, but they have some pretty interesting videos up on their website, check it out.
  3. I guess I just don't like overly scripted games. If you take one step away from the designated "path" you will see straight through the illusion. Speaking of CoD4 didn't do anything for me. I was confused and then it ended.
  4. Blizzard(along with Valve) have earned enough good will from me that I will play anything they make(except MMOs). I am pretty much the same way - a Blizzard game that is not a MMO is an auto-buy for me (not Valve though - I have actually not played any of their games, so I cannot judge). Have you at least played Portal? No, I never have. Then you, good sir, are missing out on some of the best 4-5h of quality entertainment money can buy. Do yourself a favor and get the Orange Box, Portal alone is worth 50 bucks/euros. Valve brought in a bunch of students who had made a tech demo-ish game featuring portals called "Narbacular Drop" and then had them make the greatness that is Portal.
  5. The multiplayer is great, I was commenting on the campaign.
  6. Yay, more buildings full on respawning terrorist dudes... The Chernobyl mission was pretty cool though.

  8. Blizzard(along with Valve) have earned enough good will from me that I will play anything they make(except MMOs). A new IP would be very welcome, hopefully Blizzard will also try another genre or at least a new take on an old one.
  9. Unless it's a MMO I'll probably check it out. Until then I'm looking forward to Diablo III. Those skill-altering runes look really interesting, I have always wanted to teleport Nightcrawler-style.
  10. Lost Vikings? New Warcraft RTS? Gamespy is still alive? Why didn't IGN just can them?
  11. I bet you will never see LA and EA games on GoG... it's not in their bussiness strategy... Hm? It would fit GOG, but maybe you meant is isn't LA's and EA's strategy. I'm assuming you mean the three tentacle lava boss and not the Hellgod which looks like a giant mole? Here's a quote from a strategy guide: I don't really remember how I did it, but it took a few tries. Some of the attacks are combos, which require you to do subquests to get. One is a Led-Grubb combo:

  13. I don't think it will go that way. I prefer the circular theory of the self-fulfilling prophecy. Locke is the chosen one because everyone kept telling that to Richard in the past and everything in the future has happened because of what the Losties did in the past.
  14. What kept me going was a lot of free time and being 12 years old TBH. It's a nostalgia thing, I don't know if I would manage to finish the game now.
  15. Well it's pretty much like a JRPG: your dudes are on one side and the enemies are on the other, when your "time meter" fills up you can attack, it has three levels of filled-ness which allow for more powerful attacks. There is no usual magic, all magic comes from "fate cards" which you collect over the course of the game, you have three characters at a time(you can choose from 9 total) and each of them can use a card so you can mix them to get better effects. For example you have one character use "water", another use "all" to affect all enemies. Here's an illustrative screenshot:
  16. So the Dunwich building doesn't have the bastard child of Yog-Sothoth and a crazy dude in the basement? Color me surprised.
  17. Well, the writers said that there won't be any paradoxes. I don't think that young Ben will survive being shot. The Others will probably find his body, take it away and work their magic on it. Or maybe the Smoke Monster will bring him to Jacob and make him the next leader?
  18. It was among my first RPGs as well. It is like 100h long thanks to all the looong areas with a million enemies. The story was interesting and the voice acting was pretty good, but what I will always remember from it is the world. I can't think of too many gameworlds that have layers of floating continents. The ending was also pretty interesting for me then and the fate card combining system blew my mind
  19. Yay Ubisoft stuff is finally on GOG and best of all they will soon have Septerra Core, my secret favorite PC JRPG. I will never forget the
  20. Yeah those 3 page manuals are awesome and getting a game from Steam is more convenient to me than having to install from multiple DVDs. To each their own, I guess.
  21. So you want it ad-supported?
  22. That is a possibility, but it would pretty much be a cop-out. He is shown shot in the heart region by a professional soldier/assassin and he is a kid alone in the middle of a jungle at night. EDIT: I would have shot him repeatedly in the head after that, but it's TV so one shot will have to do.
  23. Yeah, I guess he got the "regular resurrection" where you just come back to life. The "extra awesome resurrection" ala Christian makes you extra creepy.
  24. Episode was a bit slow(or maybe I'm a bit bored with the "Sayid is a killer" stuff), but the ending totally made up for it. So the Island/the Others resurrected Ben like Christian Shepard and Claire? Has he been the Smoke Monster all this time? The Others have a thing for dead bodies, that's for sure.
