  1. That's always a possibility. You can't add a non-Steam Mass Effect to your Steam account. Also ME is just 7.50 on steam at the moment, I really hope you didn't pay more for it
  2. Try the official tech support forum and/or Google?

I think there's a funny contrast with Atlantis, where they could pretty easily get everything working, in SGU half the things out of Rush are "it's broken", "we're locked out" and "not enough power"
  4. Which is what the H button does.
  5. No idea, but the EA download manager is really bad compared to Steam and Co, you have to pay extra to be able to redownload the game after like 6 months.
  6. @Kaftan: I'm sure there's a place somewhere on the internet where people share your opinion. Just keep looking @Junai: You can fix the AI by changing the default script(upper right corner on the tactics screen) or going full manual by pressing H.
  7. Have you tried the "easy" option? If you really care that much you could just use a trainer or level up with the developer console. I'm not really seeing the problem here. Is it really harder than BG2, think about that for a moment. Making an easy game harder is MUCH more difficult than making a hard game easier.
  8. Can't wait for more glistening character models. It will be interesting to see all the awesome indie games, though.
  9. It only matters if you're not going to read through the dialogue options anyway. ME's system was even color coded, if that's not simplification, I don't know what is.
  10. You're not hardcore enough. You kids have gone soft with all the recent games. Your old BG2 playing self would shake his head over your incompetence.
  11. Damn ungrateful Brits *shakes fist*. You can leave any time you want.

    Trolling.
  13. CTRL+SHIFT+T to open closed tabs. History->Recently Closed Tabs/Windows to open specific ones. As for the "parent problem", I found the best solution to be getting them a netbook. EDIT: As for the current situation, you could try history, but I'd say you're screwed.

I didn't say it was because of it's goodness. I replied to Slowtrain's comment on why this isn't cancelled yet. Try harder next time, Slowtrain.
  15. It's kind of funny/sad how that battle is completely meaningless
  16. No, Deus Ex was a lacklustre Shooter and no RPG at all.

It's pulling some pretty good rating, best since BSG IIRC.
  18. Yay, finally got Dragon Age as well. Played through the human noble origin and the castle attack. The origin was pretty good until the end. The whole Gray Warden thing feels like a giant crutch for Bioware, it just seems so unnecessary, only there to make it more "epic". Also, the animations are really bad, especially the running one and the giant weapons are somewhat annoying. If that's a "dagger" then I'm an Archdemon. That said, I really like the game. It runs super awesomely with everything maxed out and 8x AA. The combat is pretty cool and challenging and the tactics thing works well, but getting more "slots" is a pain. Surprisingly, I actually like most of the characters so far, even Alistair with his bad jokes. The voice acting is top notch and I don't really have a problem with the dialog system. The talents system has a lot of options, but I would really like a box with all the rolls and stuff, so I could actually understand how half the mechanics work. And some more spoilery stuff:

This episode was pretty filler-y. The shipboard stuff was pretty lame, other than the cool CGI scenes and the whole Young/wife thing is dreadful and needs to die in a fire. The Chloe/Eli stuff had it's moments, though. They really need to cut off the Earth nanny brigade or get Carter on it and actually make stuff work. I'm surprised no one airlocked the stones after all the crap that the earth people pulled. The bail out they pulled at the end was pretty hilarious, though.
  20. I'm not exactly sure, but maybe the trick could be reading the responses and deciding what they mean in the context? Having a "nice response", "rude response" and "I'm outta here" is stupid and oversimplified. You shouldn't always know how the person is going to interpret your response.
  21. Good luck convincing people not to buy the DLC, Kaftan!
  22. Some internet fanboys even made a crude "list": It's still missing "doesn't kick puppies" - "kicks puppies"
  23. That sounds like Sims. If people are willing to pay, I don't see why not. Business is business.
