Well, I am assuming that you believe games should look as photorealsitic as possible and that if someone doesn't shafe that view it's weird. I'm just guessing though. I believe that you'd want a game to look as good as possible while still running at a decent framerate, as close to the developer's original vision as possible. This has nothing to do with photorealism. If I crank Prince of Persia's settings up it doesn't get more photorealistic, it looks more like a watercolor painting, for example.

But you did get why I think it's weird, right?

It's weird because I don't know anyone else who plays at a non-native resolution because they don't care how it looks.

That is very very weird, unless you don't play any modern games or have a super crappy monitor.

Why would you play on anything other than your monitor's native resolution? There's nothing stopping you from cranking up both.

Only the tent filter really makes things blurry. Having 4x AA should be the norm by now, curse the Unreal Engine 3 for screwing it up.

Does it really matter who was "worse"? Killing millions of civilians should easily max out the evil-o-meter.

It might be that UE3 can't do AA without DirectX 10, lots of UE3 games don't have any AA.

Sure, but there's no reason not to put it on when taking screenshots. Other than taking the screenshots on a 360, that is.
