  1. Anything that is a departure from the "realistic" gray-brown crap that is the default nowadays is a game worth looking at in my book.
  2. No limit on number of downloads or installs. I think that you can only be logged in at one computer at a time, though. Have you been living under a rock?
  3. Internet petitions don't work. Ever. I don't see why anyone would want this on the PC anyway.
  4. The thing is that Wii Fit, which costs more and probably needed a fraction of the R&D money, will still easily outsell it. More platforms = more money.
  5. They asked them to "commit acts of lust" and provide photographic evidence. Apparently they meat just taking pictures with booth babes, but I can see someone misinterpreting that.
  6. PA had a pretty good strip on it, but I'll just link it because it contained bad language. *grumble* forum rules *grumble*. But yeah, those are evil babies, not your normal run-of-the-mill babies. As for MW, it was a pretty fun compact experience. The Chernobyl level was awesome, except for the sucktastic end sequence. The whole infinitely respawning thing was really annoying, though. Also, the plane and nuke things didn't do anything for me. You're still chopping babies in half. Oh sure, they're demonic, but they're still babies. I just don't feel like playing a game that forces me to murder innocent civilians (although not real) to move on with the story. I was kind of kidding about the baby thing. I did chop babies up in Dead Space, though or does that not count because they were evil mutant babies?
  7. Not in my opinion, but I'm sure there's a bunch of people who will say that it is.
  8. EA didn't exactly ask that, but many people took it to mean that.
  9. Well, the whole lust thing didn't go so well when they asked people to grope booth babes at Comic Con and take pictures of that...
  10. I really hope you'll live through the OC to get to the awesomeness of MotB.

  12. Damn second hand rickrolling!
  13. What does your dislike of DLC have to do with its cost? It costs $10 since people are apparently paying that much for it.
  14. Most DLC costs $10 regardless of it's actual content.
  15. K...so any objection is usually about principle? I can understand that...but still wouldn't personally stop me if I wanted the game bad enough. :D Nah, most Germans just import it from Austria or the Netherlands. It's probably more of a "why are we getting a crappier version" thing. They have also had to change the blood from red to green in a bunch of games, because killing "zombies" is ok, but real people are a big no-no.
  16. At least yo get to play MotB now. Yay!
  17. For example in the German version of Team Fortress 2, when you shoot someone it uses the metal texture effects for people eg. they gets dents instead of little blood splatter when you hit them. They also don't blow up in bloody chunks when shot with an explosive, but explode into random objects like springs, balloons, gears etc. The gameplay is the same.
  18. The context is different, and the context is everything. FO3 has no relation to present or past events, and the game doesn't focus on murdering civilians so it cannot be attacked as anything but random violence. The segment in MW2 is about the player taking an active part in a terrorist attack. You'd have to be really dense not to see how the two are only superficially similar. Is that it? I'm disappointed in you. Are you sure you don't want to post a link to an inane tvtropes article or one of those retarded gifs instead? Those are way better at creating a diversion from the fact that you have nothing relevant to say! It's always serious business with you, isn't it? I can see how someone would have a problem with that, but it's hard to find something that no one has a problem with these days. What course of action do you propose? Boycott? Complaining about it? Also, what about artistic license? Would you have the same problems with a movie depicting the same events, a book? A painting?
  19. Fantasy/abstraction vs realistic portrayal of events which actually happened in a real-world setting. The things you do remain the same and it's still a video game. Shooting some innocent civilian's head off in Fallout 3 is somehow more abstract than doing it in MW2? Good job with Godwin's law, 213374U.
  20. I'm talking about the people who find it unacceptable/disturbing, obviously. See page 1.
  21. Some funny parts, but could have been much funnier...
  22. Oh you people, one day you're all against censorship and now killing a few innocent people is unacceptable? Haven't you mowed down whole villages in the various Fallouts? Released a demon upon a particularly annoying town in Baldur's Gate? The concept is exactly the same.
  23. I couldn't care less. It's still just a video game, people.
  24. I am shocked and appalled! How is the game getting released in Australia anyway? From the videos it looked like there's a nice amount of dismemberment and general bloody-ness.
  25. That's how it started when my Radeon 1950 Pro ended up dying. I think it was the RAM overheating, you only see the GPU's temperature. Sometimes the heatsink isn't even connected to the RAM.
