  1. Ok, Obsidianites, time to read the 12-book(+1 prequel), ~10,000 page series with two books still to come If you are interested pick up Eye of the World and see if you like it, the audio book is especially good. EDIT: There's some extra information on in the comments section from a developer(?).
  2. Yay! It better have authentic Braid Tugging, though...
  3. And what about those awful coffee stains? Ugh
  4. Because making fun of LotRO gets boring after a while?
  5. Wow, when Gametrailers gives a AAA game a 6.8 you know it's bad. Same for most of the other gaming websites. I feel vindicated now, yay!
  6. I said that because most of the remakes are bad or mediocre at best and even when they're good you already know the story, it's a waste of time and resources. I guess it comes down to most of you here happily replaying games 10 times, while I play them a couple of times at best and then I'm done with them. This goes for story-based games mostly, I can keep replay x-com every now and then because it has a random component, but with story-based games, once I have experienced them I'm done.
  7. You can boot of any thumb drive, you just need to make it bootable first, which can be pretty tedious.
  8. PoP: Sands of Time First of all that was a reimagining, not a straight remake. Secondly, it was a good game that happened to be a reimagining, I'm sure they could have made an awesome PoP game without restarting the series.
  9. What about coffee? I hate coffee.
  10. It depends how much dumbification the remake is (would be) subjected to. Yes, I really want to play the same game for the 4232th time. No thanks, new story or bust. lol. wut? This is video gaming, THE INDUSTRY. Everything is redone, remade or just kicked out for the umpteenth time. So you want a Fallout 1/2 remake because everyone else is doing that? That's a pretty sad reason. I'd rather have Obsidian try something new.
  11. I thought hookahs were commonplace by now... They are around here, at least.

  13. Remakes are the Devil.
  14. We don't have Euros here, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Switzerland and a whole bunch of other countries don't have Euros but are all happily using Steam...
  15. And that constitutes a "different distribution model"?
  16. And the Eastern Europe distribution model question...?
  17. I liked Mordin, Garrus and Miranda. While having a Geth around was a great idea, he comes in too late and feels more of a gimmick than an actual fleshed out character.
  18. Better yet: - Enhanced remake of Fallout 1 & 2. Think Van Buren with modern graphical capabilities, turn based, etc. - Design collaboration for TES V Hey a guy can dream, right? DO NOT WANT.
  19. Yay, Claire! Boo boring Kate episode.
  20. Stardock or Steam? They have been publishing indie stuff for a while now.
  21. The "guy" is just a funny stock photo that made the rounds on the internet a while back. The Borderlands one felt a bit short and somewhat lacking in the funny department.
  22. You know that you can get a publisher and not go retail, right? Also what's different about distribution in Eastern Europe? I don't know if Estonia goes under that definition of Easter Europe, but there's nothing particularly special about game sales here.
  23. Sorry, but this strikes me as really unfair. Blizzard didn't set a release date. Blizzard never sets release dates. Occasionally they will give a rough estimate of their current target always with the disclaimer that it's subject to change added to it, and when they don't make that, people make a fuss and say it was delayed again. It wasn't. It didn't meet an in-house target, but it wasn't delayed because it was never set to be released. This is just people who took an estimate far too seriously and have an enormous sense of self-entitlement. I was obviously being sarcastic, I don't have any illusions about Blizzard ever releasing games on time and I don't fault them for that.
