If he can't he is a charlatan and should be prosecuted. If he can sign then the question of his medication and his treatment needs to be addressed. This is not the first time he has signed incorrectly, but this is the first time its been done in such a public arena I have just heard on the radio that the police arrived at his house to escort him to a psychiatric hospital for a medical review. But during an interview this morning on the radio he was asked "so looking back at your interpretation what do you think?" He basically stated that " he didn't see anything wrong" We know for a fact that he wasn't signing at all, basically it was gibberish. If he still thinks what he did was sign language then he is delusional at the moment and needs immediate psychiatric help. This is irrefutable and I fail to see how anyone can argue anything different. Also the question of the security of the various important delegates is something we need to consider. As I mentioned before what is also important to note about this Indian development is this legal decision is not the view of the Indian government but rather judges in the supreme court. But he also admits he is getting treatment for schizophrenia So if I had to predict the outcome its going to be determined that he can't sign at all and he has imagined all these events that he has worked at. So the latest on this false interpretor. So apparently he has translated in various other political events, but that hasn't been confirmed. Also he is suffering from schizophrenia so some people are actually defending him on a prominent talk show that I listen to. I don't see how you can defend him because if the issue is because he is mentally unbalanced that is even worse, he could have attacked any of the distinguished guests that he was translating for !!!!

Guys one more important point from me on this topic. I agree with the sentiment from some that they won't actually enforce this law or be able to police it but that's not the point. This law will lead to discrimination against the gay community in India from homophobic people as a certain perspective has now been legalised that "your lifestyle is unnatural". That's the biggest risk. We really need all societies in our modern world to respect the rights and dignity of all minority groups What disappointments me the most is the lack of empathy from groups of people that were victims of historical discrimination and are now quite happy to pass laws that discriminate against other minority groups. We also see this in certain African countries that have criminalised homosexuality

Having the same issue. I think I'm going to try to say Hi to my Grandfather. We have a common interest in CRPGs, although he's migrated to WoW pretty exclusively lately. He did quite like the IE games, so I'm hoping that a spiritual successor can pull him back. (If I had been willing to go the full 1K to design a character, it would've been him.) They have based it on a 150 year old colonial law that states " a same-sex relationship is an "unnatural offence" and punishable by a 10-year jail term" I hope the Indian parliament overturns this as I think this an egregious violation of the humans rights and dignity of India's gay population. The Indian supreme court should be embarrassed and ashamed by this ruling IMO it demonstrates more Homophobia than what the Russians did recently with there anti-homophobic laws

Eh, I worry about work because it's the only life I've had for the past 2-3 years. This place hasn't been conducive to changing that aspect of my life, which is why I'm looking at getting back to an actual city instead of an old market square with a couple of buildings around it. I hear what Walsie is saying and I get what he means but I don't think you can understate the importance of a healthy work environment, especially when we spend a lot of time working. Personally I love my job and since work is one of the things in life that I do believe defines us if you aren't happy at work then you need to fix that and take it seriously Also Nep you are in a fortunate position due to your education and experience where I assume you can get work in other cities, many people are stuck in a job they hate and they can't get another decent job even if they wanted to
