this along with the fact, that his buddies will never miss him and become alerted because one of them is missing, is probably my biggest problem with stealth games. I just can't enjoy them, because it's too easy to just figure out the "right" order to get rid of all the enemies

I loved it in GTA, a very welcome change. some of the firefights are insanely tough if you don't use covers.

it's pretty OP. they are better shots than you, so unless you're the god of stealth you'll be dying a lot. flanking the enemy is very hard, and a head on approach will get you killed. you should use your bot-buddies as much as you can. I've been playing in multiplayer for the whole day today, taking a small village with ~20 soldiers can take anywhere from 10 to 50 minutes, and as soon as the tanks roll in, you better turn around and run.

ArmA2 Free is finally out. if you dig that kind of thing, it's a good game while we're waiting for ArmA3/Battlefield3

no while I did say DS1&2 were crap, and I did say people didn't have any right to criticize Obsidian in such a manner, it doesn't mean that I said they couldn't criticize DS3 because both previous games were crap

the "genre shift" isn't the issue though. FO3 is very much like FOT - in the same universe, only with really stupid things (Humvees, hairy Deathclaws, Liberty Prime, Mudcrab people etc.). I still enjoy FOT. but it's not a good Fallout game.

heh, interestingly, that's one of the things that makes D2 so good. I agree though, the transition from Diablo's art style and design to what we see in D2 was a bit unexpected, and it had felt wrong at first
