The other side doesn't seem to be extreme at all. So, this may just be a case of perspective. Also, we would have to see the actual in-game model first, to make that distinction.

PA Report about Eternity and Brennecke - new concept art
I think the general issue with "boobplate" is that it tends to shape around the breasts, creating a weak point in the middle, putting a lot of pressure on the sternum should she fall and having the negative side effect of guiding swords and arrows towards the heart. However, the plate in the concept art pictured above doesn't actually seem to do any of those things, so I don't see the problem really. Edit: Wow, this thread moved fast. Pretty much my opinion on this. Well, the problem is the concept itself, but as mentioned can bank that under artistic freedom in this case. It's not like it's this (from the article)

Seriously? Think for yourself, please. (And you know why I'm saying that.) This thread is going to be a discussion about boobplates isn't it?

I like em' very much. The hair and faces especially. Actually more than the Dwarven Ranger Not a fan of the boob plate though.

Curb your expectations.
Stuff will always get cut. In every game. Sometimes cut content is just content that messes with the pacing and/or downright annoying.

Update #9: The power of MODES and Godlike Races: Our $2.3M Stretch Goal
Not really no, you're both afraid of what it might mean to your precious game if Obsidian start catering to anyone other than the hardcore crpg players when in fact you fail to realize that in some way they will have to do just that....it's been a very long time since Obsidian last did a crpg so do you really want to start taking guesses at how many of its backers are familiar only with the rpg storytelling of their more recent works? Probably more than you're comfortable with....and you're asking that Obsidian completely ignore this and cater only to you....essentially ignoring a large portion of their backers. That will NOT generate enough sales to create anything going forward and will ensure plenty won't return for any future kickstarters essentially leaving Obsidian at the mercy of publishers. What is exactly your point and where is he saying this? What are you even arguing about? What? Coming back with Sawyer's post from earlier in this thread: Discussion done. (Sawyer's been a man of the middle since ever. He doesn't overly cater to either side)

Update #9: The power of MODES and Godlike Races: Our $2.3M Stretch Goal
I must have missed it....what such feature was requested that offended you so? Actual removal of combat. Which in turn would remove a lot of narrative as well, and imo hurt both sides. It's a question of balancing the combat. Removing major gameplay elements is something entirly different and shouldn't be done. In any case.

[Merged] George Ziets as as the 2.8 million stretch goal
No need to. The devs already recognized this and there is no reason for a poll since not many would refuse george. Keeping this one alive should be enough.

nobody is. you can't translate literally without damaging the language you are translating to - that's the balance and what makes a good localization. I'm well aware of the second part and I agree, but... I've actually been in a lot of debates regarding that issue. There ARE people around that seem to think you're performing a crime against the original product if you don't translate everything literary. The reason why I only play in english nowadays. The german translations are jumping just too much between "big shait" and "good"- with big shait often being in the majority. Also the voice over often is really bad. Just remembering New Vegas right now, german translation *and* voice work was so god damn bad. Impossible to play in german, imo. Besides, it is good for the own english skills to play it in english. :> Yup. But, again there are also a few exceptional ones where I enjoy the german version more (Though, in most of these cases the english version itself was already a translation) Come to think of bad localizations, it's always fun when two best friends in a bar apparently only call each other "Sie".
