  1. That doesn't even make sense. Critising is fine. Flaming like you want to do isn't. And somehow perceiving this as them doing a scam or something wrong is terrible.
  2. What? What is shameless about it? Did Obsidian complain? Did Obsidian say *they stole* it*? Are they against the project. For all we know they could have even helped. No, I doubt you're intentions are goody-goody like you want to describe yourself.
  3. Yup, that's even the Interview with Colin I meant. He also repeated it recently at another place (in a tweet even?)
  4. Yes, there are only 11 days left. If next update still are races ,classes or dungeon, 2.6 million will be the end of funding. No, it will pretty sure pass 2.6 Million. Taking last days pledges into account we would have to slow down very, very drastically. At the current momentum we would pass without really needing a spike at the end. According three great names in the project, shouldn't we expect the funding of PE at last pass 3 million, a little more than WL2? What? Yes. Most likely it will. I just said that we most certainly will pass 2.6. I mean cetainly 2.6 is not enough. The speed of funding we have now obviously can't reach 3 million and I'm really despair about that. Yes, it can? With an endspike this is more than possible. You're fully aware we currently have more money as DoubleFineAdventure had in the same time span?
  5. Somewhat agree well, not for the *should fail and the diluging other projects* part. They just started the campaign and have enough time to show us something and make good on it.
  6. That's bull****. Why? Seriously why? Do you need some kind of war with them. What do you care if they reuse the Obsidian design ESPECIALLY WHEN OBSIDIAN ITSELF SUPPORTS THE PROJECT. What is wrong with you people?
  7. Most likely old-school as in the Wizardry kind of old-school.
  8. Yup. On the first one. I'm searching on the second one. Are you sure it was Feargus? Also, its not really surprising Avellone wrote the outline. It was his job as Lead Designer/Lead Writer. He still also wrote most of the text in the game according to Colin McComb.

  10. Pretty much. And a second game as a kickstarter goal? That's a genuinely puzzling decision. That said, I'm glad we're seeing a resurgence of classic cRPGs, I just hope we won't see an implosion. Did nobody read my post or the kickstarter page? Because I'm pretty sure Obsidian doesn't mind or even helped them out with ideas. Well, though. The second game thing is puzzeling.

  12. Chris Avellone created Dak'kon and I don't know if Colin wrote his entire dialog, but I'm pretty sure most of it. BTW, Colin also more or less denied that in a tweet.
  13. He also worked on SW:Galaxies as the Executive Producer
  14. Chris wrote the outline and by far the majority of text in PS:T. (Colin and Dave did good stuff too, of course. Colin wrote Dak'kon IIRC) Which areas are you refering to, though? Also, yes. Chris wrote almost all of Gann's Dialouge.
  15. Uhhhhhm, this project is supported by Avellone at least and quite possible other Obsidian devs. And they've known about it before looking at Avellone's comment. So, what?
  16. As mentioned the game uses a fixed camera (maybe with zoom) from what we know.
  17. Enviroment Artist who got laid off during the cancellation earlier this year (Though, he worked on South Park). Funcroc posted a tweet about his return earlier.
  18. He doesn't. Other devs can. Just showing up from time to time would be fine enough.
  19. http://www.linkedin....-fish/8/a31/358 And possibly working on Project Eternity
  20. I know, which is great and due to that it has a positive effect on Obsidian's following over there.
  21. Also don't just put the stretch goal graphic on Facebook, but on the actual Kickstarter page, preferably in an update so that backers see it.
  22. http://www.xp4t.com/2012/10/03/project-eternity/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=project-eternity On that note, could developers also show up from time to time on the mentioned forums like NeoGAF or Penny Arcade? I think that would generate interest in said communities and help the project.
  23. It's coming kind out of nowhere though. So, I think they will have a rather slow start.
  24. I would think that this has less draw than Obsidian for rpg fans. But, certainly more than Banner Saga and Dead State.
  25. I don't know if this has been said yet, but before the last week lay out ALL the stretch goals and make a nice stretch goal graphic for the final push. You can still add another if we actually managed to reach the last, but it is important for the last push to have full incentive to back more the entire time. Not waiting and letting it run out of steam.
