Well, thats really easy Your 1 hour opinion of the game still isn't applicable to the whole of humanity. Wiiiiild theory though, I know. Also its still in Steams play statistics (Above Homefront and close with F.E.A.R 3) so its not really that "dead" at the moment.

? Thats probably less of a technology issue than a too much work issue.

You can never satisify everyone is a life lesson that applies to gaming too. Rather than trying to appeal to everyone developers should work on new systems that either focus on one of the two exclusivly or try to combine them in a manner where both (charachter and player based) work side by side rather than get in each others way. (AP example)

I'm still don't think that it is Wheel of Time. The game was announced over a year before Obsidian got mysterious with the new "big" IP they have in their hands. There would be no reason to hide the franchise name.

Shes pretty clearly mentioned to not be Jeynes mother. Since you know, she already existed back then. She died in the Mournweald and was reborn.`Its pretty clearly stated by Rajani how she died. So, no she isn't. Are you sure you read the dialog carefully? -
That f***ing game! As much as I love AP. It doesn't really have a complex story. Like at all. Its cool to find out details you didn't knew before on subsequent runs but its all pretty standard (though well done and executed) spy fiction with no interesting kinks. Its definitly Obsidians most standard plot so far (Though that isn't really the point here) The highlight by far are the charachters and the dialog related to them. That was a way bigger reward. The story/plot itself is way secondary.

Scrap that. No Idea. -
WSGF reviewed Dungeon Siege IIIs Widescreen capabilities where it recevied a perfect score and got certified. http://widescreengamingforum.com/dr/dungeon-siege-iii/en If anyone is wondering WHY due to their own disatisfaction with the options. Widescreen lovers usually HATE stretching above everything. Best read how their rating system works. I can't explain it sufficently myself.

What would you like to see in a Dungeon Siege IV?
C2B replied to C2B's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
I know that I am late for this but! If you do find me an "industry" that does NOT have pressure against them, its either the governement or totally illegal. I'm sorry but nowadays there's pressure EVERYWHERE, if you want to make money, you gotta work harder, faster and better than the guy next to you, otherwise you're gone. I speak from working as a carpenter for 5 years in Canada (INCLUDING outside, during winter: down to -40 F (& C)) and now I am in Financial Planning, and I DO have to sell at LEAST 10% more than last year, every years (That means about 9.5 m $ sales this year) not to mention all the annoying things I have to do aswell. So please mind your stuff, you act like someone who never worked. Depends and no. If you actually read my posts (Especially where I talked about my own work): Yes, there is pressure everywhere. (Workplace competition alone though can be a non-issue depending on the job you work in. Though naturally you still have to bring performance otherwise you'll be fired anyway. Just remarking here.) At the same time is it normal for you to work overtime nearly every day? Thats normal work for you? I'm not talking about normal work conditions here because yes, you can't normaly just sit back. Thats not my point at all. The video game industry is notorious for crunch. Thats just a fact. Other industrys have different problems (or/and the same in some cases). I did not once meant or made the attempt to insult them here. By the way. While I never worked myself as a carpenter I did help out one (And one of my best friends has taken the profession). I'm also doing a lot of work as a hobby. (Mostly fixing (smaller, of course ) stuff on the farm) I don't really have the same climatic condition as you so outside work is a lot easier for me, though. Short Summary: I did not mean to offend you at all. My reason for these posts was with the "They do not work hard enough". I never once specified that this only happens in the games industry. Just that said industry is notorious for crunch time. -
Off-Topic, but: Speaking of insane dev numbers. What game had the biggest dev team ever by the way? I can't really imagine an actual 500 person dev team since that would be kinda unpayable. Assassins Creed 2 had, at peak, 400 people working on it. And GTA IV I believe had a similar number, maybe even higher. Whats included in that number? Because the game has an ENORMUS amount of voice actors for the pedestrians. Judging by ingame-credits the dev team was around 100 people. Then again, Rockstar apparently likes to leave people out. (GTAIV)

Glitterdelve mine quest bug
C2B replied to Malakhi's question in Dungeon Siege III: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
theres no patch coming, this game is dead and will be in the bargain bin very shortly. I havent played since getting this game ending bug (only to check for a patch which wasnt there) Are you sure that there is no patch coming? I would rather have that coming from an official/developer Nope hes not sure. Theres no information for a around 3 weeks. Could just mean they are working on a bigger patch. Or other possiblities including ceased support (though I'd think if this was already 100% clear we would have heard something by now too) We'll see. -
Is DS3 out in Japan? It came out a week ago.

Achievement bugs.
C2B replied to Solarius's question in Dungeon Siege III: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
1. Achievment. You don't get the achievment for massing 100'000 gold. You are getting it for selling that amount. 2. Achievment: Weird, should be possible. Are you sure you are wearing the starter equipment? 3. Achievment: Are you sure you did all the quests? Here is a guide: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/s...ad.php?t=316364 -

No. Why should it matter if its acknowdleged in the ending narration? Its only a small thing and only very few games do that anyway. People put themselves into a lot of challenges in games since gaming began.

Compared to every other Diablo Style ARPG I played there is a lot more of that around too. I'd think you already did fight Rajani? How was the conversation after not player choice? You still have to fight her though, it's all scripted, you only make a choice afterwards. There may be a few points where you do make a decision, but for the most part you just have to fight your way through to solve the quest. Take the Sand People quest in KOTOR, there were multiple options to do it, and you didn't have to fight the Chief at all. There's a similar quest in DS3, but the only solution is combat. That's what I mean by different game structure. As far as talking to NPC's, yes it's there but it's one sided. Mostly you just query them on different topics, there's normally no consequences except on influence. If Anakin meant he wanted more info from the companions, I guess that would've fit, but I don't see anything more extensive without going beyond the scope of what the game was meant to be. So its like most rpg quests? Granted it isn't as muti-solution to tackle like other crpgs. But you still have choices (And these Choices still matter in multiple of these quests). And I have played multiple "CRPGs" that featured less options to deal with the result of these quests. In fact in terms of dealing with Obsidian antagonists you have a lot of options to deal with the ones you meet during your journey. That aspect was very well done. The different options to do so were also easily justifiable. Also something thats not always the case in Obsidians games. (A little Off-Topic but Jeyne probably is the most well done "grey" prime Obsidian antagonist. She has believable reasons for her actions and is as far away from a moustache twirler as you can get.) -

I have to revise my statement. Its a hybrid between a lot of gernes. Somewhere between a ARPG, a Gauntlet like Console-Style ARPG an action game and a crpg. Also what? There are several instances of charachters interaction. There are also 2-3 quests that are completly non-combat in Stonebridge. Remembering the past is actually one of my favourite Obsidian quests. And theres background/lore to all the quests.
