  1. Dan Whitehead seems to be a special case according to the comments.
  2. Happy someone else appreciates the Xenoblade soundtrack! Freaking amazing. Xenoblade is an excellent game. If you like (some) MMORPG mechanics its also probably the best JRPG ever made. (Not for me. Its still excellent though)
  3. Dev Diary http://fallout.bethsoft.com/eng/vault/diar...y15-9-20-11.php
  4. Backstory and Story itself was horribly stupid. But to know that you just have to check out this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTdXJVbIvy0 Its basically just another dream american invasion fantasy. Theres more emphasis on it, though. Apart from that the whole thing is quite mediocre.
  5. Same or better isn't really the key word here, but "delivery". A word spoken differently to its description and context in the written text, can shake its entire meaning. And in both those cases the transition gave different results. Good ones, but different from its 2D original instead of trying to do it accuratly. (May have much to do with different artists there though too.
  6. Theres instances like that in gaming too. 2D Artwork -> 3d Models. Written Text -> Voice Acting (Also in film a frequent problem with book adaptions) and so on.
  7. Not the kind of detail I meant. Well, I back off though. Not worth the hassle (for both of us).
  8. I can't really see that working without losing a lot of details. And again, unnecessary.
  9. I rather not see it sullied by modern engines and safe in the nostalgia goggles. Theres no reason to update FFVI graphically. Like at all. They can't really reproduce the Amano artwork and as far as 2D goes its still gret to look at. In a remake they should just rework some of the mechanics (Which is the only low point of the game)
  10. The only compliment I can give FFX is that it is the least pretentious Nojima written FF. ... Which isn't saying much. (Same guy who wrote FF8 and Advent Children)
  11. Some more Xenoblade Snowy Valak Mountain / Night Satorl, the Shimmering Marsh / Night
  12. Awesome. Incredibly informative regarding Fallout too.
  13. Its quite a bit more work in FFXs case if they don't want to get slammed. Theres still other elements in the game that look pretty uneven in HD resolution. (Recently played it with PCSX2 again)
  14. @City Builder I thought of a different behavior, sorry. The camera DOES turn with you, though. It does it rather slowly though to give you better visibility and not just swing around. It works very well for me personally and its not really one of the problems I have with the camera. I personally don't know of a way to prevent the behavior though. Tigranes and Lady Crimson took a closer look at the DSIII files I think. Try to ask them in a PM if they saw something related. @goetzm: Not to be rude meant here here what it shuld mean and has NOTHING to do with Irony (And if it was actually meant to be Irony it would be pretty ****ty illogical irony). So if you don't want me to be frindly I can do that too. Also if I don't specifiy "THAT"..... I think the most logical conclusion would be that I mean the thread topic and not your posts specifically. Don't you think so, genius?
  15. Not to be rude but,.... That only ever happens a few times in the game to show off the enviroment and even less in combat situations.
  16. Those are all some of the better mission examples in AP. Shame shes not working anymore at Obsidian.
  17. Thats kinda the point. Her whole no emotion kind of speaking is meant to portray her more alien. Its not even a stretch. Its easily controllable for most post (deadpan comedians) and there are plenty of people that have problems to express certain emotions. I would agree though that the voice acting isn't the best. The voice actress doesn't do the best job and theres some weird effect on it which doesn't help.
  18. Xenoblade Mechanical Rhythm Unfinished Battle
  19. Found this while looking around on the internet. Dunno if it has been posted yet. http://chriswillis.wordpress.com/dungeon-siege-3-gallery/
  20. I never mentioned indie/artsy games. Paradox almost exclusively makes $30 PC games, none of them are indie/artsy and there's certainly nothing like them on iPad for $2. The most recent PC games similar to BG2 (DA:O, Drakensang, MotB/SoZ) were also neither indie nor artsy. No, but you mentioned that 2$ Ipad Games somehow HAVE to appeal (or appear to appeal) to everyone which just isn't the case.
  21. Yes, you *can*, just as you could play Deus Ex on the PS2. That doesn't mean it's the best platform for it. I have no thing against porting to more platforms, but I think it's strange to discount the PC when it has been home to so many similar games. This sentence makes no sense whatsoever to me. Why are you comparing a general gameplay system to an actual for PC developed game? Thats not the same thing. Not, at all. So, doesn't your last. There are plenty of indie/artsy games on the Ipad. Why would it have to appeal to everyone that owns an IPAD? Hidden Apple policy?
